La Paz de Dios Hace Guardia
Filipenses 4:7
Introducción
“Y la paz de Dios, que sobrepasa todo entendimiento, guardará vuestros corazones y vuestros pensamientos en Cristo Jesús.”
Pueden salir miles de noticias y todo el mundo puede estar hablando, ahogado, pero la paz de Dios hace guardia en lo interno de nuestras vidas. El estudio toma la palabra "guardará" como la imagen de un soldado que vigila, custodia y protege el corazón, y la sigue en Juan 14:27, donde Jesús deja su paz como herencia a sus discípulos, y en 1 Pedro 5:7, donde Pedro enseña a echar toda la ansiedad sobre el Señor. El eje es uno: la paz de Cristo no significa ausencia de tormentas, sino saber, aun dentro de la tormenta, quién está con nosotros.
I.La paz de Dios hace guardia: "Y la paz de Dios, que sobrepasa todo entendimiento, guardará vuestros corazones y vuestros pensamientos en Cristo Jesús" (Filipenses 4:7).
AA. El mortal es inestable, y por eso la oración del justo obra mucho.
1.
Hoy está contento, y mañana no sabe cómo hacer ni qué hacer. Hay muchas cosas en nuestras vidas por las que debemos mantenernos en oración: no se canse de orar por nada.
2.
Dios recoge nuestra oración no porque seamos un éxito ni porque tengamos las palabras más exactas, sino porque somos sus hijos. El padre terrenal a veces le dice al hijo "no te entiendo"; Dios sí sabe ver las cosas tan exactas y precisas como las necesitamos.
3.
Si Dios no hiciera guardia a nuestra paz, estaríamos desesperados. En la angustia, en el día difícil y complicado, tenemos que saber que Dios tiene paz para nuestra vida, y que la guarda en nosotros como en un estuche.
BB. El corazón se turba.
1.
El corazón se agita, se desespera y se angustia; hace ver lo que no es y hace entender lo que no es. Por eso no nos puede guiar: ahí se asientan todos los sentimientos, y nos confunde.
2.
El corazón es el centro desde donde se envía todo mensaje, y es engañoso. Por eso se necesita la paz de Cristo.
3.
Nuestro enemigo no es lo que aquel dijo, ni aquel con quien te enfrentaste, ni el tiempo, ni la televisión. Nuestro propio enemigo somos nosotros mismos cuando no le hemos entregado el corazón a Dios diciéndole: "Yo quiero tu paz".
CC. "Guardará": la paz es un soldado que hace guardia.

La palabra guardará transmite la idea de vigilar, custodiar y proteger, como un soldado que hace guardia. Eso hace la paz de Dios alrededor del corazón.
2.
El soldado de guardia no se distrae con el que le viene a hablar ni con el que le pide una dirección. Así tenemos que educarnos para ser hombres y mujeres maduros y espirituales: dejemos ya de ser niños.
3.
Si la paz de Dios no hace guardia, todo el mundo comienza a decir cosas, uno las recibe como verdad y termina caminando con el lomo doblegado.
4.
La paz guarda todo lo que vivimos: lo que azota, lo que se acerca, lo que se levanta como un imperio para oprimirnos. Y el que vive oprimido no es funcional; pierde hasta el sentido.
DD. Una paz que sobrepasa todo entendimiento.
1.
No es una paz que dependa de cómo cada uno vea las cosas. Es la paz que hoy tenemos que pedir: "Señor, yo quiero tener tu paz; la necesito, porque si no, desfallezco".
2.
No es para vivir turbado, opinando, hablando y analizando. Es tan sencillo como la palabra del versículo: guardará. Hay alguien mayor que tu pensamiento, tu voluntad, tu preocupación, los nervios y la ansiedad: la paz de Cristo.
3.
Esto no es cuestión de entender, sino de educarse en las Escrituras para saber cómo vivir. Hay que amar las Escrituras, conocer los mensajes y educarnos como discípulos de Cristo: no somos uno más, somos discípulos de Cristo.
4.
Cuando se hace una tormenta y todo queda oscuro, o cuando una madre se llena de ansiedad por un hijo enfermo, lo que hace falta es que la paz de Dios haga guardia, para no detenernos en lo que nos toca vencer y alcanzar.
5.
La paz mantiene la vista donde debe estar. Todo el mundo va a sugerir algo; el que tiene la paz de Dios no se deja llevar por las sugerencias, porque es Dios el que lo dirige.
6.
"Yo no necesito profeta: yo necesito la paz de Dios que me guarde." El que oye "soñé que estabas triste y agobiado" y enseguida se pone triste y agobiado, deja que le llegue algo que lo arropa. Somos hijos de Dios y vivimos para Él.
II.Cuando llega el temor, la paz está de guardia.
AA. Lo que viene a la mente se echa fuera.
1.
Te levantaste de madrugada, tuviste un sueño: cuando llega el temor, la paz está de guardia; te está guardando.
2.
Vienen a la mente cosas a montones; si le das lugar a una, viene la segunda. Échalas fuera. Viviste un día de lucha, pero mañana será un nuevo día: "Hoy yo vencí; tengo la paz de Dios".
3.
A veces nos detenemos a escuchar lo que no debemos escuchar, y quienes saben que vas a la iglesia y conocen tu integridad quisieran robarte la paz. Tenemos que ser soldados.
BB. La paz permanece cuando todo cambia.
1.
Cuando llega el temor, la ansiedad o los pensamientos que quieren perturbarte, la paz está de guardia. Cuando las circunstancias cambian, la paz de Dios permanece.
2.
La paz de Cristo no significa ausencia de tormentas: significa que aun dentro de la tormenta sabemos quién está con nosotros. Y si Dios está con nosotros, nos libra de todo: donde nos quieren hacer el hoyo, de ahí Jehová nos saca y nos pone en lugares seguros.
3.
Dios nunca nos ha desamparado; los que pican y muerden son los mortales. Por eso no hay que mirar a los mortales, sino para arriba, porque el cielo da órdenes.
4.
El Dios soberano mueve los ángeles que tenga que mover, no para que los veamos ni nos amarremos de ellos, sino para proteger en lo que hay que proteger. Y la confianza que le tenemos a Dios guarda nuestra vida.
III.La paz como herencia: "La paz os dejo, mi paz os doy" (Juan 14:27).
AA. Jesús distingue su paz de la paz del mundo.
1.
A todos se nos turba el corazón; tenemos inseguridades, y cuando nos pasa algo pensamos que nos va a seguir pasando toda la vida. Pero donde uno está parado en Dios no se va a caer nunca.
2.
El mundo tiene una falsa paz. La paz del mundo depende de que todo marche bien; la paz de Cristo permanece aun en medio de todas las dificultades.
3.
Jesús no solamente murió en la cruz: nos dejó paz, y en abundancia, porque su paz no está basada en el día, en la circunstancia ni en cómo está el universo.
BB. Nuestra herencia es paz.
1.
"La paz os dejo": Jesús deja una herencia a sus discípulos, y esa herencia es la paz. "Mi paz os doy": no es cualquier paz, es la paz de Cristo.
2.
Los ángeles no pueden estar en todos los lugares, pero Jesús sí. Por eso no importa lo que nos toque vivir: Él nos dejó la paz, y de todo nos libra Jehová.
3.
Las dificultades vienen, y vienen de gratis. Pero somos soldados, y un soldado se para derecho con su armadura puesta para batallar, y no vive lloriqueando, asustado y preocupado por lo que va a pasar.
IV."No se turbe vuestro corazón, ni tenga miedo" (Juan 14:27).
AA. No permitas que la angustia gobierne tu interior.
1.
Lo que hemos vivido hay que sacarlo, para que no se quede adentro lo que produce angustia. Guardarlo es un lujo que le estamos dando al enemigo.
2.
No te levantes mañana angustiado: es un nuevo amanecer, con esperanza y con fuerza. Y no vencimos solos: nos unimos todos a luchar.
3.
Tú no puedes vivir turbado, levantándote y acostándote con ganas de pelear con los hijos o con el cónyuge. Los mensajes son para madurar en conocimiento y educar el corazón.
BB. La presencia de Cristo nos permite enfrentar el temor con confianza.
1.
Vienen muchos miedos, pero no he visto justo desamparado. La paz de Cristo significa que aun en medio de la tormenta el corazón sabe quién está con nosotros: "Dios está conmigo" es algo que hay que cantar desde la mañana.
2.
Puede haber una tormenta alrededor sin que la tormenta tenga que entrar dentro de mí. Si la tormenta entra, termino llevándosela a los hijos y a todo el que me rodea.
3.
Lo que hay que conservar siempre es la paz. Hay dolor, y el dolor es otra cosa; pero la paz se guarda por obligación. Que los hijos salgan a la escuela y los padres al trabajo con la paz de Dios, y que Jehová les cuide la entrada y la salida.
4.
Al justo las tormentas le dan cantazos, pero no entran dentro de él, porque tiene al Espíritu Santo y Dios lo cuida y lo protege. Estás viviendo cosas, pero no estás siendo destruido por lo que has vivido.
5.
Hay cosas que arreglar en la vida, y hay que enfrentarlas y decir "basta". En la enfermedad, en la situación con el vecino, anhelen que la paz los guarde.
V."Echando toda vuestra ansiedad sobre él, porque él tiene cuidado de vosotros" (1 Pedro 5:7).
AA. Pedro lo escribió porque lo vivió.
1.
La ansiedad se trepa encima; cuando se enganche, hay que darle un empujón. Lo que hay es que luchar y enfrentar las circunstancias.
2.
Si Pedro lo dejó escrito es porque sabía que al ser humano le da mucha ansiedad: la barca que se hundía, las pedradas, el día en que negó al Maestro. Un día tomó un momento de su existencia y escribió lo que había vivido.
3.
Cuando lo llevaban a crucificar, la pastora recuerda que Pedro pidió que no lo crucificaran como al Maestro, sino hacia abajo. Sabía que le tocaba la cruz, y sabía que Jesús, que ya estaba a la diestra del Padre, iba a tener cuidado de él.
BB. Echar la ansiedad es orar.
1.
No tienes que seguir cargando lo que te pesa. Pero para echarlo hay que orar: no una oración a la loca ni de recuerdo, sino tú hablando al cielo, al trono donde está el Padre y a la diestra Jesucristo.
2.
La pastora no puede cargar a nadie: enseña la palabra, da consejo y pone a cada uno a caminar para que conozca a Dios directamente en todo lo que le toca vivir. Cada uno tiene que hacer frente a lo suyo.
3.
"Porque él tiene cuidado de vosotros": aquí está la razón para descansar. Dios se interesa por nosotros y nos cuida las veinticuatro horas. Si me dice que eche mi ansiedad sobre Él, es porque nunca quiso que yo la cargara sola.
4.
Lo que me preocupa lo pongo en las manos de Dios, porque si no, se convierte en ansiedad, y la ansiedad ciega la fe. Tenemos un Dios que nos llamó, nos escogió, nos separó y es poderoso.
5.
Esto no quiere decir que uno haga lo que quiera y Dios lo va a ayudar. Quiere decir echar sobre Él lo que viene sin ser llamado y lo que nos toca vivir.
CC. Conclusión: la paz de Dios hace guardia en tu existencia.
1.
Los mortales somos difíciles y complicados, y nadie le puede quitar a otro lo complicado. La pastora enseña la palabra; a cada uno le toca correr detrás de ella y activar la fe que nos ha sostenido hasta hoy.
2.
¿Podemos vivir en paz? Sí, por esta razón: la paz de Dios hace guardia. Esa paz hace la guardia en tu existencia, y de todo te libra Jehová.

The Peace of God Stands Guard
Philippians 4:7
Introduction
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
A thousand news reports may come out and the whole world may be talking, overwhelmed, but the peace of God stands guard within our lives. The study takes the word "shall keep" as the picture of a soldier who watches over, guards and protects the heart, and follows it into John 14:27, where Jesus leaves His peace to His disciples as an inheritance, and into 1 Peter 5:7, where Peter teaches us to cast all our care upon the Lord. The thread is one: the peace of Christ does not mean the absence of storms, but knowing, even inside the storm, who is with us.
I.The peace of God stands guard: "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:7).
AA. Mortals are unstable, and that is why the prayer of the righteous avails much.
1.
Today one is happy, and tomorrow one does not know how to act or what to do. There are many things in our lives for which we must keep praying: do not grow tired of praying about anything.
2.
God gathers up our prayer, not because we are a success or have the most exact words, but because we are His children. An earthly parent sometimes tells a child "I don't understand you"; God does know how to see things as exactly and precisely as we need them.
3.
If God did not stand guard over our peace, we would be in despair. In anguish, on the hard and complicated day, we must know that God has peace for our life, and that He keeps it in us as in a case.
BB. The heart is troubled.
1.
The heart is stirred, despairs and is distressed; it makes us see what is not so and understand what is not so. That is why it cannot guide us: all our feelings settle there, and it confuses us.
2.
The heart is the center from which every message is sent, and it is deceitful. That is why the peace of Christ is needed.
3.
Our enemy is not what someone said, nor the person you confronted, nor the weather, nor the television. Our own enemy is ourselves, when we have not handed our heart to God and said to Him: "I want Your peace."
CC. "Shall keep": peace is a soldier standing guard.
1.
The word "shall keep" carries the idea of watching, guarding and protecting, like a soldier on guard duty. That is what the peace of God does around the heart.
2.
A soldier on guard is not distracted by whoever comes to talk to him or asks him for directions. In the same way we must train ourselves to be mature, spiritual men and women: let us stop being children.
3.
If the peace of God does not stand guard, everyone starts saying things, one takes them as the truth and ends up walking with a bowed back.
4.
Peace guards everything we live through: whatever strikes, whatever draws near, whatever rises like an empire to oppress us. And whoever lives oppressed cannot function; one loses even one's senses.
DD. A peace that passes all understanding.
1.
It is not a peace that depends on how each person sees things. It is the peace we must ask for today: "Lord, I want to have Your peace; I need it, because otherwise I faint."
2.
It is not for living troubled, giving opinions, talking and analyzing. It is as simple as the word in the verse: shall keep. There is Someone greater than your thoughts, your will, your worry, your nerves and your anxiety: the peace of Christ.
3.
This is not a matter of understanding, but of training ourselves in the Scriptures to know how to live. We must love the Scriptures, know the messages and be trained as disciples of Christ: we are not just one more, we are disciples of Christ.
4.
When a storm comes and everything goes dark, or when a mother is filled with anxiety over a sick child, what is needed is for the peace of God to stand guard, so that we do not stop short of what we must overcome and reach.
5.
Peace keeps our eyes where they should be. Everyone will suggest something; whoever has the peace of God is not carried along by suggestions, because it is God who directs him.
6.
"I don't need a prophet: I need the peace of God to keep me." Whoever hears "I dreamed you were sad and weighed down" and at once becomes sad and weighed down lets something come over him and wrap him up. We are children of God and we live for Him.
II.When fear comes, peace is on guard.
AA. Whatever comes into the mind must be cast out.
1.
You woke up before dawn, you had a dream: when fear comes, peace is on guard; it is keeping you.
2.
Things come into the mind by the heap; if you make room for one, the second one comes. Cast them out. You lived a day of struggle, but tomorrow will be a new day: "Today I overcame; I have the peace of God."
3.
Sometimes we stop to listen to what we should not listen to, and those who know you go to church and know your integrity would like to steal your peace. We have to be soldiers.
BB. Peace remains when everything changes.
1.
When fear, anxiety or thoughts that want to disturb you arrive, peace is on guard. When circumstances change, the peace of God remains.
2.
The peace of Christ does not mean the absence of storms: it means that even inside the storm we know who is with us. And if God is with us, He delivers us from everything: where they want to dig a hole for us, the Lord takes us out and sets us in safe places.
3.
God has never forsaken us; it is mortals who sting and bite. So do not look at mortals, but look up, because heaven gives the orders.
4.
The sovereign God moves whatever angels He must move, not so that we see them or cling to them, but to protect what must be protected. And the trust we place in God keeps our life.
III.Peace as an inheritance: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you" (John 14:27).
AA. Jesus sets His peace apart from the peace of the world.
1.
Everyone's heart is troubled at times; we have insecurities, and when something happens to us we think it will keep happening all our life. But where one stands in God will never fall.
2.
The world has a false peace. The world's peace depends on everything going well; the peace of Christ remains even in the midst of every difficulty.
3.
Jesus did not only die on the cross: He left us peace, and in abundance, because His peace is not based on the day, on the circumstance or on the state of the universe.
BB. Our inheritance is peace.
1.
"Peace I leave with you": Jesus leaves an inheritance to His disciples, and that inheritance is peace. "My peace I give unto you": it is not just any peace, it is the peace of Christ.
2.
Angels cannot be in every place, but Jesus can. That is why it does not matter what we have to live through: He left us peace, and the Lord delivers us from everything.
3.
Difficulties come, and they come free of charge. But we are soldiers, and a soldier stands up straight with his armor on to do battle, and does not live whimpering, frightened and worried about what is going to happen.
IV."Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27).
AA. Do not let anguish rule your inner being.
1.
What we have lived through must be brought out, so that what produces anguish does not stay inside. Keeping it is a luxury we are giving the enemy.
2.
Do not get up tomorrow in anguish: it is a new dawn, with hope and with strength. And we did not overcome alone: we all joined together to fight.
3.
You cannot live troubled, getting up and going to bed wanting to fight with the children or with your spouse. The messages are meant to make us mature in knowledge and to train the heart.
BB. The presence of Christ lets us face fear with confidence.
1.
Many fears come, but I have not seen the righteous forsaken. The peace of Christ means that even in the midst of the storm the heart knows who is with us: "God is with me" is something to sing from the morning on.
2.
There can be a storm all around me without the storm having to come inside me. If the storm gets in, I end up carrying it to my children and to everyone around me.
3.
What we must always keep is peace. There is pain, and pain is something else; but peace is kept as a duty. Let the children go to school and the parents to work with the peace of God, and may the Lord watch over their going out and their coming in.
4.
The storms beat on the righteous, but they do not get inside him, because he has the Holy Spirit and God cares for him and protects him. You are living through things, but you are not being destroyed by what you have lived.
5.
There are things to set right in life, and they must be faced with a "that's enough." In sickness, in the trouble with the neighbor, long for peace to keep you.
V."Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you" (1 Peter 5:7).
AA. Peter wrote it because he lived it.
1.
Anxiety climbs on top of you; when it hooks on, give it a push. What there is to do is fight and face the circumstances.
2.
If Peter left it in writing, it is because he knew that human beings suffer a great deal of anxiety: the boat that was sinking, the stones, the day he denied the Master. One day he took a moment of his life and wrote down what he had lived.
3.
When they were taking him to be crucified, the pastor recalls that Peter asked not to be crucified like the Master, but upside down. He knew the cross was his lot, and he knew that Jesus, already at the right hand of the Father, would take care of him.
BB. Casting our care is praying.
1.
You do not have to keep carrying what weighs on you. But to cast it you must pray: not a careless prayer or one said from memory, but you speaking to heaven, to the throne where the Father is and, at His right hand, Jesus Christ.
2.
The pastor cannot carry anyone: she teaches the word, gives counsel and sets each person walking so that they know God directly in everything they have to live through. Each one has to face their own.
3.
"For he careth for you": here is the reason to rest. God is concerned for us and cares for us twenty-four hours a day. If He tells me to cast my care upon Him, it is because He never wanted me to carry it alone.
4.
Whatever worries me I place in the hands of God, because otherwise it turns into anxiety, and anxiety blinds faith. We have a God who called us, chose us, set us apart and is mighty.
5.
This does not mean doing whatever one pleases and God will help. It means casting upon Him whatever comes uninvited and whatever we have to live through.
CC. Conclusion: the peace of God stands guard over your life.
1.
We mortals are difficult and complicated, and no one can take away another's complications. The pastor teaches the word; each one must run after it and put to work the faith that has sustained us until today.
2.
Can we live in peace? Yes, for this reason: the peace of God stands guard. That peace keeps watch over your life, and the Lord delivers you from everything.

«La paz os dejo, mi paz os doy»: Jesús nos dejó su paz como herencia. La paz del mundo depende de que todo marche bien; la de Cristo permanece en medio de todas las dificultades.
Puede haber una tormenta alrededor sin que la tormenta tenga que entrar dentro de mí. Si la dejo entrar, se la llevo a los hijos y a todo el que me rodea.
Pedro escribió «echando toda vuestra ansiedad sobre él» porque lo vivió. Echarla es orar: hablarle al cielo. Si Dios me dice que la eche sobre Él, es porque nunca quiso que yo la cargara sola.

Así lo dice la Biblia. En palabras sencillas: la paz que Dios te da cuida tu corazón y tus pensamientos, como un soldado que no se mueve de su puesto. La pastora contó que un día llovió muchísimo, todo estaba oscuro, y de momento apareció un pedacito de cielo azul.
1A veces el corazón se asusta y late rapidito: ta, ta, ta. Se pone nervioso y nos hace pensar cosas que no son verdad.
2La paz de Dios es como un soldado que hace guardia en tu corazón. Un soldado de guardia no se distrae con nadie: se queda cuidando.
3Cuando te despiertas de noche con miedo, o te llega un pensamiento feo, la paz está de guardia. Échalo fuera y habla con Dios.
4Jesús dijo: «La paz os dejo». Es un regalo que nos dejó a todos, como una herencia, y nadie te lo puede quitar.
5Pero cuidado: la tormenta puede estar afuera, pero si tú la dejas entrar en tu corazón, terminas peleando con tus hermanos y con todos en la casa.
6Lo que te preocupa no lo cargues solo. Díselo a Dios en oración, porque Él cuida de ti todo el día y toda la noche.
