Cierre de la serie sobre las siete iglesias del Apocalipsis. Primero, la promesa a Tiatira: “le daré la estrella de la mañana”, que Jesús mismo explica en Apocalipsis 22:16: la estrella de la mañana es Cristo mismo, comunión plena con Él, participación en su gloria y esperanza de un nuevo amanecer; el premio mayor no es poder ni autoridad, sino Cristo. Después, Laodicea: la ciudad rica de la banca, la lana negra y el colirio, cuya iglesia era tibia, con una fe sin pasión, y se creía rica cuando era pobre, ciega y desnuda. Es la única iglesia donde Jesús no encuentra nada positivo, y aun así le hace la invitación más amorosa —“yo estoy a la puerta y llamo”— y la promesa más grande: sentarse con Él en su trono.
I.Trabajar con uno mismo.
AA. En la batidora de la tierra damos tumbos; hay que ser claros conforme a las Escrituras.
1.
Diez personas te dirán diez cosas distintas; la mente de Cristo no tiene dos sentidos.
2.
Hay que tener agallas para trabajar con uno mismo, en vez de verles faltas a todos.
3.
La vida se compone de guerrear sin miedo, y cada uno le hace frente individualmente.
II.La estrella de la mañana: Cristo mismo (Apocalipsis 2:28; 22:16).
AA. Es la promesa a los creyentes de Tiatira que vencen y permanecen fieles.
1.
No somos adornos en la tierra: somos guerreros útiles, y el cielo nos habla en las Escrituras.
2.
Se da solamente al justo, al que ha permitido ser lavado con la sangre de Cristo.
3.
Cada día que cuentas es un día en que te preparas para el rapto.
BB. Jesús mismo explica el símbolo: “yo soy la estrella resplandeciente de la mañana”.
1.
Él es quien nos hace levantar; en el susto y la circunstancia olvidamos que está en nosotros las 24 horas.
2.
Suelta la tribulación y dile: aquí estoy para que vivas en mi ser; te voy a creer, obedecer, amar y servir.
3.
La decisión está en dejar que la Escritura entre por los oídos, suba a la mente y baje al corazón.
CC. Comunión plena, participación en su gloria y esperanza.
1.
Nadie es fiel como Cristo; Él nos hace copartícipes de su gloria a un precio costoso, la cruz.
2.
La estrella aparece antes del amanecer: siempre presente, fin de la noche, comienzo de un nuevo día.
3.
Cuando se va la esperanza, la fe se anula; hay que levantarse cada mañana con esperanza, porque hay un nuevo amanecer.
III.Las tres promesas al vencedor de Tiatira.
AA. Autoridad sobre las naciones.
1.
El justo hace bien a las naciones: en su trabajo, a su vecino, en la carretera; donde hay un justo hay beneficio.
2.
No se trabaja desde un cargo político: se trabaja de rodillas y atendiendo al que toca la puerta.
3.
A los líderes no se les critica: se ora por ellos, porque el milagro lo hace Dios.
BB. Gobernar con Cristo.
1.
Cuando el Espíritu pone un sentir fuerte de orar por alguien, ¿lo haces? Ahí está el problema.
2.
Regir con Cristo es trabajar entendiendo, entregados por completo a hacer el bien.
CC. La estrella de la mañana: el premio mayor no es poder ni autoridad, sino Cristo mismo.
1.
Al convertirnos, Cristo se entregó total; con Él viene el Espíritu Santo, y ángeles y demonios lo ven.
2.
El mayor regalo del cielo no es el cielo: es Jesucristo; no se lucha por galardones.
3.
Toda oración se lleva en el nombre de Jesús, el único que ruega al Padre; si no oras, te quedas en ti.
IV.Laodicea: la iglesia tibia (Apocalipsis 3:14-17).
AA. “El que tiene oído, oiga”: todos tienen oído; el problema es no querer oír.
1.
No hay nada peor que ser tibio: ni frío ni caliente, mediocre; en lo espiritual no se puede ser tibio.
2.
“Te vomitaré de mi boca” describe una fe sin pasión; sin pasión no hay milagro en tu familia.
3.
Lo tibio parece tener llama y engaña a los ojos comunes; los coros emocionan, pero solo la Palabra obra por el Espíritu.
BB. Una ciudad rica: banca, lana negra fina y colirio de su escuela médica.
1.
Jesús usa esas tres cosas para mostrar su condición espiritual.
2.
Decían “soy rico y de nada tengo necesidad”, y eran pobres, ciegos y desnudos por entretenerse en lo físico.
V.La invitación y la promesa (Apocalipsis 3:20-21).
AA. “Yo estoy a la puerta y llamo”: un llamado de amor donde podría haber reclamo.
1.
Lo que hay que abrir es la puerta de la mente y del corazón; Cristo todavía quiere entrar y restaurar.
2.
Es la única iglesia sin nada positivo, y a la que se le hace la promesa más grande: sentarse con Él en su trono.
3.
No dijo “arregla esto”, sino “ven, que yo lo voy a hacer todo”; nadie puede nada por sí mismo.
BB. Los vencedores son los valientes; si Jesús entra, Él nos hace fuertes y determinados.
1.
Se tiembla porque no hay acción, y sin acción no hay hechos.
2.
Laodicea: comodidad material sin fervor espiritual; una respuesta carnal apaga el fervor todo el día.
CC. Arrepentimiento y renovación.
1.
El arrepentimiento debe llevar a renovación: todo lo bueno, lo justo, lo amable, el amor al prójimo.
2.
Lo que no se renueva afecta a los de alrededor; el Padre Nuestro es el patrón para renovarse cada día.
3.
El diablo engaña para que no oremos y la iglesia sea tibia.
DD. La Palabra siempre está viva, y solo la verdad hace libre.
1.
Si no se razona, se oscurece y el corazón se endurece; Dios es quien endurece y quien desecha.
2.
La estrella de la mañana no toca la incredulidad: la toca uno mismo con el arrepentimiento.
3.
La sangre se activa para el perdón cuando pedimos y suplicamos, no como nosotros lo acomodemos.

Laodicea
Revelation 3:14-22
Introduction
Close of the series on the seven churches of Revelation. First, the promise to Thyatira: “I will give him the morning star,” which Jesus Himself explains in Revelation 22:16: the morning star is Christ Himself, full communion with Him, a share in His glory and the hope of a new dawn; the greatest prize is not power or authority, but Christ. Then Laodicea: the wealthy city of banking, black wool and eye salve, whose church was lukewarm, with a faith without passion, believing itself rich when it was poor, blind and naked. It is the only church in which Jesus finds nothing good, and yet He gives it the most loving invitation — “I stand at the door, and knock” — and the greatest promise: to sit with Him in His throne.
I.Working on oneself.
AA. In the blender of this earth we stumble; we must be clear according to the Scriptures.
1.
Ten people will tell you ten different things; the mind of Christ has no two meanings.
2.
It takes courage to work on oneself instead of finding fault in everyone else.
3.
Life is a war fought without fear, and each one faces it individually.
II.The morning star: Christ Himself (Revelation 2:28; 22:16).
AA. It is the promise to the believers of Thyatira who overcome and remain faithful.
1.
We are no ornaments on this earth: we are useful warriors, and heaven speaks to us in the Scriptures.
2.
It is given only to the righteous, to the one who has let himself be washed in the blood of Christ.
3.
Every day you count is a day you prepare for the rapture.
BB. Jesus Himself explains the symbol: “I am the bright and morning star.”
1.
He is the One who gets us up; in fright and trouble we forget He is in us twenty-four hours a day.
2.
Let go of the tribulation and tell Him: here I am for You to live fully in me; I will believe, obey, love and serve You.
3.
The decision is to let Scripture enter the ears, rise to the mind and descend to the heart.
CC. Full communion, a share in His glory, and hope.
1.
No one is faithful like Christ; He makes us partakers of His glory at a costly price, the cross.
2.
The star appears before dawn: always present, the end of the night, the start of a new day.
3.
When hope goes, faith is nullified; rise every morning with hope, because there is a new dawn.
III.The three promises to the overcomer of Thyatira.
AA. Power over the nations.
1.
The righteous do good to the nations: at work, to the neighbor, on the road; where there is a righteous person there is benefit.
2.
The work is not done from political office: it is done on one's knees and by answering the door to the one in need.
3.
Leaders are not to be criticized but prayed for, because the miracle is God's, not man's.
BB. Ruling with Christ.
1.
When the Spirit stirs a strong urge to pray for someone, do you? That is the problem.
2.
To rule with Christ is to work with understanding, wholly given to doing good.
CC. The morning star: the greatest prize is not power or authority, but Christ Himself.
1.
At conversion Christ gave Himself entirely; with Him comes the Holy Spirit, and angels and demons see it.
2.
The greatest gift of heaven is not heaven: it is Jesus Christ; one does not fight for trophies.
3.
Every prayer is carried in the name of Jesus, the only One who pleads with the Father; if you do not pray, you stay in yourself.
IV.Laodicea: the lukewarm church (Revelation 3:14-17).
AA. “He that hath an ear, let him hear”: everyone has an ear; the problem is not wanting to hear.
1.
Nothing is worse than being lukewarm: neither cold nor hot, mediocre; spiritually one cannot be lukewarm.
2.
“I will spue thee out of my mouth” describes a faith without passion; without passion there is no miracle in your family.
3.
The lukewarm seem to have a flame and deceive ordinary eyes; songs stir emotion, but only the Word works by the Spirit.
BB. A rich city: banking, fine black wool and the eye salve of its medical school.
1.
Jesus uses those three things to expose its spiritual condition.
2.
They said “I am rich and have need of nothing,” and were poor, blind and naked from dwelling on the physical.
V.The invitation and the promise (Revelation 3:20-21).
AA. “I stand at the door, and knock”: a call of love where there could have been rebuke.
1.
What must be opened is the door of the mind and heart; Christ still wants to come in and restore.
2.
It is the only church with nothing good, and the one given the greatest promise: to sit with Him in His throne.
3.
He did not say “fix this,” but “come, and I will do it all”; no one can do anything by himself.
BB. The overcomers are the brave; if Jesus comes in, He makes us strong and resolute.
1.
We tremble because there is no action, and without action there are no deeds.
2.
Laodicea: material comfort without spiritual fervor; one carnal reply snuffs out the fervor for the whole day.
CC. Repentance and renewal.
1.
Repentance must lead to renewal: all that is good, just, lovely, and love for one's neighbor.
2.
What is not renewed affects those around us; the Lord's Prayer is the pattern for daily renewal.
3.
The devil deceives so that we will not pray and the church will be lukewarm.
DD. The Word is always alive, and only the truth sets free.
1.
If it is not reasoned through, it darkens and the heart hardens; it is God who hardens and God who casts away.
2.
The morning star does not touch unbelief: one touches it oneself through repentance.
3.
The blood is activated for forgiveness when we ask and plead, not on our own terms.

Así lo dice la Biblia. En palabras sencillas: Jesús está tocando a la puerta de tu corazón, y si le abres, entra y se queda contigo. La pastora contó que la iglesia de Laodicea era tibia: ni fría ni caliente.
1Jesús se llama la estrella de la mañana: la que sale antes de que amanezca. Quiere decir que la noche se acaba y viene un día nuevo. Él está contigo siempre.
2Cuando tengas un problema, no lo cargues solo. La pastora dijo: ponlo en una caja y dile a Jesús «aquí estoy, te voy a creer y te voy a obedecer».
3Laodicea era rica: tenía bancos, lana negra fina y medicina para los ojos. Su iglesia decía «lo tengo todo», pero por dentro estaba pobre y ciega.
4Jesús le dijo: eres tibio. Ser tibio es hacer las cosas a medias, sin ganas: cantar en la iglesia sin amar a Jesús. Eso a Jesús le da ganas de vomitar.
5Y aun así Jesús no la regañó: le tocó a la puerta con amor. No dijo «arregla esto primero», sino «ven, que yo lo hago todo». Solo hay que abrirle.
6Al que le abre, Jesús le promete lo más grande: sentarse con Él en su trono. Los que vencen son los valientes, los que no se quedan a medias.
Para conversar en casa
¿En qué cosa eres tibio, que la haces a medias?
Esta semana, cada mañana dile a Jesús: «buenos días, entra a mi corazón». Hazlo todos los días hasta el próximo domingo.
