Love Does No Wrong

TOPIC: Love Does No Wrong" I Corinthians 13:5 Love does not do wrong; doing so would be unjust. Doing things that are illegal, wicked or that turn out to be capricious are examples of unjust things; that which is cruel, perverse or whimsical. Something that is wrong or undue is wanting everything: the possible and the impossible. A capricious person satisfies his/her desires, without caring if it affects or bothers others. They are people who do not respect others and continuously subject others to "I want that. Period." Someone like this always says: "I want. I do not care about other people’s needs, or how this affects others. I just want my personal satisfaction." This is truly acting on a whim!

I. The Bible teaches us that love does not disrespect anyone.

A. Love does not offend.

1. When you don’t have any honor it is because you have done something wrong.

2. Everything that is wrong has its consequences, whether in the present or in the future.

3. We must watch out for our actions so that we do not do something wrong.

4. Acting on a whim leads to having to face the consequences.

5. When you do wrong, there is no dignity!

6. You get to the dishonest, to what is shameless.

7. Example: I learned that a news editor sent a reporter to present a news item and ordered her to do the sign of the cross in front of the cameras. She did not want to cross herself because she is Jewish. The reporter told the Confederation of Jewish Communities what happened. This Jewish entity immediately issued a statement to the news editor, declaring the rejection and disowning of the act; which violated the reporter’s right and bringing light to the seriousness of the facts. The editor explained, defended himself and gave his reasons. But she said: "I do not know if I’ll come back. The relationship is already fragmented. Even if he apologizes and I forgive him." That's the point! An improper act has bad consequences!

8. That which is wrong will forever bring great ruptures, pain and sorrows!

9. Doing the wrong thing destroys so much! It can destroy a healthy and beautiful family relationship, or a friendship, etc. Someone who should have been loved and happy instead has a sad and burdened smile. Nothing will ever be the same!

10. The reason for this, brother, is the lack of love! Because those who love do not do wrong!

11. When you love, you are courteous and considerate. (Philippians 2:4 "... each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.") Jesus was God and he did not cling to this. Instead, he took the lowest form: that of a servant. He took the form of a man, and in that condition of man, humbled himself; becoming obedient to death. And not any easy death, but the death of the Cross. (Vs.5-8)

12. Consider this, when you walk, do you look out for others? Do you consider them?

13. Or do you just think and walk for yourself? For your own good, your profits, happiness and purposes, even if in the end you simply ask for forgiveness. Remember that evil is being done to others. To others with whom the relationship should be perfect, because love comes from God. But if you insist on loving yourself first, the communion with others will be fragmented, shattered and will result in much pain and sorrow.

14. An aggravated pain is not necessary. But if things are done improperly, that will be what happens. On the other hand, if you do not do the wrong thing, you only win and win!

15. When you think, speak and act, observe. Do not do anything unjust! Do not hurt others!

16. Brothers, we cannot live on whims.

17. In doing so, the only thing that is accomplished is self-satisfaction; even if you destroy what is just. Even if you destroy the good in front of you! And all because you fell into doing wrong.

18. When your whims affect others, you do not love!

19. When you say: "I want that and period", and you cannot hear the warnings, you do not love anymore! Not even those closest to you.

20. When you are the only one satisfied by your whims, remember, someone is suffering because of your capricious will!

21. One day you will ask for forgiveness and you will be forgiven. But there will be a heart or perhaps many hearts in pieces, because you made it a habit of pleasing your whims!

22. When you do wrong, there are many losses!

23. But love does no wrong! Amen.
