Nothing Is Easier Than to Wait in God

TOPIC: "Nothing Is Easier Than to Wait in God" Psalm 130: 5-6

I would not be able to wait for anyone, because everyone has their own thing to do. Everyone has their own path to travel. How can I depend on a human being who can only do their own thing? With God it’s different. God is Almighty! Only He can be Omnipresent! We can wait for many people, but they can fail us because they are very limited. Let us put our faith and hope in God because He is faithful to our lives. In this Psalm we read about those who watch for the morning; waiting for the sun to rise so that they may be freed from the darkness that is clouding their vision. I hope that the sun of justice (which is Christ) rises to dissipate the horrors of darkness terrifying my soul (Malachi 4:2)! Psalm 37:7. "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes." Be silent before the Lord! This is such a hard thing for us to do with the big mouths we have; with so many confusing thoughts, and so many quick opinions! We are so quick to judge! We live in such desperation! And we try to convince ourselves that we can have God in our carnal plans. Silence is a rule, an order; a very hard commandment for man. Being silent is to be mute! The silence that is asked of us here opposes all that is murmuring and complaining. It's being silent before God! We cannot be so filled with pride when we do not know what will happen tomorrow. We are not able to say what’s best because we are full of our own reasoning. God works through love with His great justice! You and I would do things out of vanity. Psalm 37:34 "Wait on the Lord and keep His way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it." Wait on the Lord and continue in His path! Stay still. Those who truly trust God will remain within GOD'S TIME, will use GOD’S METHODS, and walk in GOD'S PATH even if it seems that they are going around in circles. How can we even try to suggest to God how to do things! When all we do is constantly show Him despair and anguish! We always choose the path of despair! Wait ... Beware! As we wait, let us try not to waver. Do not take a single step off God’s track even when there’s a lion before us. We should not avoid our duty to obtain security. Let us continue on the path of the Lord! In the good old way (Jeremiah 6:16) the cobbled path (path covered with stones) of holiness. Isaiah 40:31 "... but those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength..." Arise in His Word, in prayer, seeking Him! Congregate, raise your hands and look up! When you can solve your own problems, you become egotistical. But as the days go by, life strikes again. And man’s limited nature is over, and you can see that you have to wait for God's favor. New strength is promised to those who hope in the Lord! If you rely on God you will see what He will do in your favor. It is absurd to think that He cares for His people less than the stars, which He guides in such a perfect and detailed way. So why get tired of waiting on Him? Raise your wings like an eagle! Run, and you will see that you do not get tired! Walk and believe! You will not grow weary! Lamentations 3: 25-29 "The Lord is good to those who wait in Him, to the one who seeks Him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young. Let him sit alone in silence, for the Lord has laid it on him. Let him bury his face in the dust- there may yet be hope." There are many lessons that one learns in the school of affliction! It is good to quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord, and submit to

His yoke early in life. Sit alone and be silent because it is God who imposes. Bow your head to the ground to see if there is hope, and that God may have mercy. Micah 7:7 "But as for me, I watch and wait for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me." He is everything! Only the Lord is trustworthy. Calamity is the result of people’s sin. But the Lord would still restore His people to the dismay of their enemies. James 5:11 "As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy." At the end of Job's life his patience was rewarded. God revealed Himself as He always does; as very compassionate and merciful. In Job’s case, in the end: God gave him double what he had! Wait upon God, and you will also have! Amen.
