Love is the most important thing

TOPIC: “Love is the most important thing” Romans 15:1-6 When we begin to have a lot of problems, it is because we have STOPPED LOVING. When everything bothers us, and we start to get defensive it is because we have STOPPED LOVING. When we stop doing things it is because we have STOPPED LOVING. Our life becomes a disaster and we can no longer laugh! The more we love, the more others will love us and we will face less problems. This is why we live in justice. Nowadays what motivates human beings to speak is vainglory, announcing to all what we do and have. It is spoken about the great goals so people will be amazed. The power of what is spoken convinces many more than what the eyes can see. There are many reasons that motivate that way of speaking; it is mainly done to presume and to receive a favor or take advantage. Sometimes the motive is due to quarrels, jealousy, etc. But, it is THE LOVE what should motivate us to speak. When we neglect ourselves in loving, the big problems will begin. Let us be happy with what we have, not wishing what to others have. When we learn to love what God has given us then we will love what belongs to others without envying them. God has wanted to provide to all of us and has placed us in church, in His spiritual kingdom, so that we can enjoy. God has made each one of us different so that we can enjoy each other. Sometimes we are a burden to others because we pretend so much, for what comes out of our mouth to compete and to be felt. May our conversations be only to edify one another! We all have been born in Christ to do well to each other mutually, until we’re satisfied. (Galatians 6:10 "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.") It is never pleasant to see someone not doing well, then, let us try to do well to others because we have been born in Christ to do so. What He does in our lives He does so that we will love each other. To love the way Christ loves was never in our thoughts before, but when we came to Jesus we began to love one another. What can motivate us the most in this live IS THE LOVE! We are in this world to serve others. We have been born to serve one another, for this reason we must love. There is where we show our love. We are saved, we have reached salvation, but we can’t walk thru this life only for that; although we watch over it zealously; we have arrived to this world to serve others. Those who are chosen by God to do something the least they want is to have problems, but we were born and we live for what He has wanted. This call has been by His grace and not by our merits, or qualities, or because of how great or well prepared we may be. It is that God wants to prepare us by means of the Holy Spirit. The Father doesn't want anything of this world in us. What He wants is to FILL US WITH LOVE, but we have to be willing and this way the Father will continue working in our lives. The Father wants us to understand that we have been called by His grace to do well to people, because we have decided to love and walk as righteous denying the “I” sinner, because sin separates us from Christ and we would not be able to love this way. To those who are strong - begin to walk with your strength and to love the weak. (Romans 15:1 "We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves." As strong Christians, we must strengthen the weak. We have to become strong because the weak will always arrive at the church. There are many things that we can speak about, but as

long as we are in the Body let us speak what edifies. When we are together in Church we must uplift one another. We should learn from our Master to love, and the more we learn the more we will do. We must always put our eyes, our sight, in loving and not in the other things. What edifies us mutually is what is more convenient for us. We could have superior knowledge than our brothers, but we cannot take advantage of that because we love, because the love in us is stronger. Out of love, we will teach and not by advantage, let us love and teach the weak. If we don’t love, all that time and effort will be for ourselves. Those who understand perfectly the nature of the Gospel of freedom become strong. It is necessary to understand what the salvation that comes by grace is. Those who lack that knowledge are weak. That is why not all are strong. What refrains us from pleasing ourselves is when we love others, if we learn to love. Paul wanted to teach the people not to please themselves but to love. The more we love the more silent we will be. WHEN WE BEGIN TO CONTEND WE LOSE THE UNITY! We should understand that there are fragile, delicate people, but they are children of God and we have to help guide them out of love. We are not too given to support, to tolerate; for this reason, God has to shatter us to learn to love. We will teach the weak to love with the hope that they are not rejected. Our struggle is for all to receive salvation. When an inconvenience arises with someone it is because we have to refuse ourselves. Let us renounce to so much personal dignity. Let us renounce to "being fussy" (willing always to dispute). The first thing is to love, the rest is secondary. Our topics should be about what God wants. Let us not be pleasing ourselves for our vainglory but for what is good. We should do things also to please others. We have decided to edify each other by doing well. One edifies spiritually, it is not by consenting our cravings. What we do is tolerate the weakness of others by loving them. Cravings don't proceed from true love. We have to tolerate out of love, meanwhile love will grow more so that we'll agree with one another. I Peter 2:5 When edifying the brother, we edify ourselves. We are all like a house; we put ourselves over others and if we stop to edify that way, we stop to edify ourselves. It is good for us when we educate. It is worthwhile to tolerate. It is Christ who sustains this building. No one’s wickedness or envy will destroy the church. Jesus had so much patience with the disciples! He is our Master and for this reason we have learn from Him. Christ did not please himself but those who surrounded him. We are not here to please ourselves but to look at the weak and strengthen them or make them great. We should help them, aid them. Let us be willing to do to others what the Father has done in our lives. Let us be willing to give, to encourage, to help and aid others. We have to take out of our lives the hardened heart, for this reason we cannot give and love. We should be unanimous. We have to enter the process so that together, with one voice, we could glorify God and end all disputes, because this brings death. Let us glorify God for having called us to this covenant of salvation! The lack of patience is what drives us to contend; let us be patient with the brothers as Christ is with us. There must be peace and love so that there will be harmony and worship. This is what God has called us for! Amen.
