Created in Jesus Christ for good works

STUDY: #914- CHURCH IN THE HOUSES FROM: OCTOBER 4 @ 10, 2016

Topic: "Created in Jesus Christ for good works" Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." I had a dream about this that the Apostle Paul says in this verse. I dreamt I saw a woman with clothes different from ours. She was working as a cashier. I was near a group of people who were in line to pay in the register where she worked. I could see that she asked the woman in front of me a question, but the woman did not understand or did not know what to answer. When the woman paid her, I approached the woman and took her to the front of a kiosk, and told her to repeat the question the cashier had asked her, or what was her question or concern regarding the cashier’s question. The woman told me: "My name is Sara." And I said: "My granddaughter’s name is Sara like you." Then she told me that her concern was this: WHAT DOES SHE HAD TO DO WITH HER LIFE? So, I replied GOD HAS WRITTEN IN THE HEAVENS FOR WHAT SHE WAS BORN, AND SHE HAD TO FIND WHAT THAT WAS! Ephesians 1: 4 "... He chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him ..." The author of salvation is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is the one who initiates every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. GOD’S HANDS HAVE CREATED US FOR GOOD WORKS, THAT IS THE DIVINE PLAN. Let us reason. The Lord’s achievements are many, because the raw material with which He has to work (on us) are love, holiness, purity, goodness, and the likes. That is, through a union with Christ, He makes your life a new creation. Let's see what 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." There is nothing else beyond this truth. Because He creates in us. He does His work, His work in us and through us. The reason we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus IS TO DO GOOD WORKS. God is responsible for producing your life, your new life based on nothing else but Christ Himself. We have been created for a new life in Christ Jesus, this is the great base, the great foundation. Because God does not create from our sinful life. It is from Christ or Christ Jesus who created us. God saves us by His grace, not salvation by good works, but WE ARE SAVED FOR GOOD WORKS! Good works is the fruit of being His workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus. WE DO NOT DO GOOD WORKS TO BE SAVED, BUT BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN SAVED! The works demonstrate the reality of our faith. This is the order of God: salvation, work and reward. Faith leads to salvation; salvation results in good works, and good works results in receiving rewards from the Lord. What kind of good works should you do? Those that God prepared beforehand so that we should walk in them. The woman in my dream sought how to do good, but did not know how. Similarly you do not know how to. Since you do not know, you start to look around, and you begin to want what someone else has, instead of worrying about the good works GOD MAY HAVE PREPARED FOR YOU! God has a plan for every life! Before you came to Him, He had developed a spiritual path for your life. OUR RESPONSIBILITY IS TO FIND HIS WILL FOR US AND THEN OBEY. We do not have to develop a plan for our lives, but simply accept the plan He has prepared for us. This will rid you of many worries, and outbursts with bad attitudes and discomforts. This way you will not come against me, or look at me as if I was the one who betrayed you. When you earnestly seek to know God's plan for you, this will ensure that your life and work will become for the greater glory in Him, of greater blessing to others, and the greatest reward. To find the good works that He has planned for our INDIVIDUAL LIVES, we should: 1) Confess and forsake sin as soon as we are aware of it in our lives. 2) Surrender continuously and unconditionally to Him. 3) Study the Word of God to discern His will and then 4) Do all that He commands. "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves." (Philippians 2:3) You should also take care of yourself and do as God says here in the Word. YOU SHOULD SEE OTHERS AS SUPERIOR TO YOU! That you should stop feeling and making others feel as if the church were a hierarchy, a hierarchy where some people are more important than others! WE ARE ALL THE BODY OF THE CREATOR! Another very important thing to do that will help us know God's will is SPEND TIME IN PRAYER EVERY DAY! For lack of prayer it is that some have an attitude of being spoiled, of letting everyone know they are upset. Few are those who truly pray, if any, begging or seeking to do a good deed. Take advantage of service opportunities as they arise. Do not seek to do more work where others will see or applaud you! Do not be selective as to what brother or to whom, you will do good, for if you do you will not be providing the service. Another thing you should do is look to cultivate communion, and the advice of other believers. God is wonderful, He prepares GOOD WORKS that we carry out. Then, we receive rewards when we do! So is his grace! Amen.
