God Is Present Everywhere At The Same Time, Enable Your Eyes To See Him

TOPIC: "God Is Present Everywhere At The Same Time, Enable Your Eyes To See Him" Psalm 139: 1-18

As seen in this psalm David came to know the Lord so well that his eyes "could see" Him in everything. You cannot live only seeing your thing in your day, your hours and years, what you need is to see God in everything and you will live more relaxed and rested. Psalm 139:1. "O Lord, you have searched me and known." As David says, God examines us; if He does this in us then it means that He is present in every moment of our lives. How good it is for us to know the God that knows us perfectly so well! There was no time in the past when the Lord did not know us and there will never be a time in the present or in the future in which we will be beyond His observation. "...You have searched me and known ..." don’t ever forget this. God, without any confusion, clearly contemplates the actions of each man as if this man was the only being created; Deity will be occupied only in observing him in every moment of his life on earth. May this thought fill your mind with fear and comprehension. May there be in you repentance for having acted in disagreement with God’s will and the purpose to never act wrongfully from here on. Psalms 139: 2 "You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar." Just reason and understand that God is present in your life at all times, you also have to “see Him". Even all the thoughts within us can be seen and understood by Him. Do not be mistaken and think that your behavior is not under the providence, under the care God has for the world, of the human beings He created. If you think this way, you deceive yourself. Do not think that your thoughts go without the inspection of your Lord. The Lord perceives your thoughts from afar. And do not think your words dissipate in the air before God can hear them. He knows them even before they leave your mouth. Psalms 139: 4 "Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord." Do not go thinking that your ways are private and hidden so that no one can know and censor them. If you think this way you're wrong, because God knows all your ways. How much vigilance must be put on the doors of our mouths to dominate the tongue with restraint! Consider this: Thoughts are words for God. Psalms 139:5 "You hem me in behind and before..." Here we see our God in His omnipresent capacity. God is always very close; we are totally in His power; and from this power no one can escape. "You surround me..." Psalm 139: 6 "Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; is high, I cannot understand." I wonder! This thought or knowledge not only exceeds my understanding but inclusively my imagination. It is God who knows everything in the past eternity and future eternity at the same time. In the eyes of the psalmist David, this is a high knowledge that he cannot reach. "As much as I go back, this truth is too elevated for my mind." We could never achieve an idea of His power, of His wisdom and His holiness. It is better to BELIEVE!

Psalms 139:7 “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?" No one can escape from the Being who is everywhere and of the observation of the great invisible Spirit. "...YOUR PRESENCE..." IT IS THE PRESENCE OF THE GLORY OF GOD IN HEAVEN! THE PRESENCE OF THE GLORY OF GOD ON EARTH! THE PRESENCE OF HIS JUSTICE IN HELL and THE PRESENCE OF HIS GRACE IN HIS PEOPLE! If we renounce to this powerful presence, we fall into nothingness! If we refuse to His presence of grace, we fall into sin! If we refuse to His merciful presence, we fall into hell! Live in such a way that you will be innocent, for God is always present. We see how offended the waves and wind were against Jonah. The waves and winds and all God's creatures unite at God's side against Jonah and against all rebellious sinners. Psalms 139:13 "For you created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb." “There I was hidden, covered by you. Before I met you, you cared for me and hid me like a treasure, until you decided it was time to come out in the light.” Although I had not been born yet I was under God’s control and custody. Psalms 139:16 "Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." An architect draws his plan and makes the specifications; the same was done by the great Maker of our institution writing everything about us in the book of His purposes. Psalms 139:17, 18 "How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake I am still with you." If you do not think frequently of God it is that you do not love him. God's thoughts were the first visitors David had in the morning. God and His heart gathered as soon as David woke up and the company of the two lasted all day. We have to be with God in everything because He is in everything. We must see God in everything because He is in everything. Train your eyes so that you can see Him! Amen.
