Our Inspiration, the Holy Spirit

Topic: “Our Inspiration, the Holy Spirit” I Peter 1:12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things THAT HAVE NOW been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you BY THE HOLY SPIRIT sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.” Let us know that we have been placed in the church. And to think that not only God placed us in the church but that He did it IN THIS TIME OF CHURCH HISTORY. When you see it your life will be different. For the prophets, things were not the same as they are now for us. You have to have this clear so you know how you should act and trust. THE HOLY SPIRIT DESCENDED FROM HEAVEN AT PENTECOST! The apostles taught of our Lord Jesus so that we would believe in Him by faith. The Lord was given in sacrifice and atoning death for the whole world and after resurrecting TOGETHER WE RECEIVED THE FULLNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. EVEN THE ANGELS LONG TO LOOK INTO THESE FACTS AND TRUTHS OF SALVATION! The church is a material lesson for the angels. But it is not for them to know the joy that accompanies our salvation. IT IS SOMETHING VERY BIG THAT GOD GAVE US IN THIS TIME! He sent us the Holy Spirit! What a privilege! Our INSPIRATION is from the Holy Spirit. It is enlightenment to live everything and to be guided by the Spirit of God. It is the illumination that the Holy Spirit contributes to your life forever. The Spirit prepares you for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is Godbreathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.") The goal is that every man be perfect. He is the life in you, not any longer you or your good well, but rather but He is your inspiration. Luke 11:13 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?" We can see that when Jesus spoke about the Holy Spirit this had not arrived yet. Now, it says in Romans 8: 9 "You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ." We should pray that we are willing to learn from the Holy Spirit. Let us be led by the Spirit. May its power be bestowed upon us in all our service for Christ. Examine when He guides you, when He encourages and drives you to be someone vigorous and not weak, or dragged with your instability. Luke 12:12 "...for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say." Life gives us critical moments in which we need to know how to answer. The Holy Spirit will teach you what you should say when you find yourself trapped and cannot find someone to deliver you. It will be the same when you are accused for serving Jesus, the Spirit will fill your mouth with the necessary response. If you walk in the Spirit you will receive the adequate words to say in the critical moments of life.

Acts 4: 8 "Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them..." The apostle Peter needed to defend himself. In him there was an anointing. There was strength. There was power in some simple fishermen. It is that now they had believed and were coated with the powerful Holy Spirit. It is spoken of Barnabas in Acts 11:24 "He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith." This was Barnabas and to be good only one thing was needed, to be filled with the Holy Spirit. What a great man! Everything he did would prosper for allowing himself to be guided in purity and love. He could have all this in his ordinary life for his faith in Jesus and for being filled with the Holy Spirit with power and divine authority. Barnabas achieved unity with the Church of Jerusalem. No one can edify unless he is filled with the Holy Spirit, because for someone to be guided by God he must be absolutely guided by the Holy Spirit. What a beautiful deed! 2 Corinthians 13:14 “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." This is the greatest blessing for the church of these times. This is the blessing that enriches our lives. A biblical commentator says about this passage: "Here is the great apostle Paul extending his hands upon the Corinthians, giving them his deep neo-testamentary blessing and his voice sinks in the silence. But, the blessing remains upon our hearts." This is the communion of the Holy Spirit. It is the union of the Holy Spirit with you. This union cannot be broken at any time, because you need to live your day, your life and to be able to reach eternal life through it. It is the union, the communion of feelings and ideas of your spirit and of the Holy Spirit; it is to feel the same. Sin does not fit in this communion! Amen.
