I Will Have Self-Control, I Will Have Control Of My Body

TOPIC: “: I Will Have Self-Control, I Will Have Control Of My Body” 2 Timothy 1:7 If we don't have control of our body it will give us much to do and it will not be for our own well-being. Dominion is control. There is nothing better than to have control. If we are not people with knowledge there will not be any reasoning in us to have complete control in our lives. What we cannot control will destroy us. There are people with bad intentions surrounding us that want to do with our lives what they please. For this reason there is nothing better than to have self-control, control so that Christ can have the best of our lives. We need to have self-control so that Christ will have the best of us. If we do not have this we give very little to the Lord. To have self-control is not difficult and much less impossible. The more we know the Word of God the more we will understand the greatness of God, we will not be moved by anything. But it is in us if we do it or not. We should have self-control, control of our body 24 hours a day. We should know our capricious body and we will have control of everything. There is so much that we want to do! But if we have self-control we can control our actions, the way we speak and think. The body has a tendency for the unpleasant when there is no control over it. There are actions that are very dangerous for our lives and for those who surround us. Those bad actions can cause us shame, sadness and pain. Many personal actions will mark men forever. Then, others will be blamed. Bad actions occur when we don’t know how to control our bodies. There are places that a true believer should not visit and if we have control we will not go. There are things that we should cast out of our lives because they are vicious. Those who have self-control cannot be stopped by anything or anyone, and the flesh will not get in the way. The verse tells us that there is not spirit of cowardice over us. God has given us a spirit of power, love and self-control. The least that He has given us is a spirit of cowardice. To achieve self-control the first thing we have to understand is that God has given us a spirit of power. We have to intensify it because we forget that God has given it to us. We have at our service a spirit of power without limits. Let us control our body because we have from God the power. God has NOT given us a spirit of failure to feel destroyed. With the capacity that God has given us we can SERVE WITH COURAGE, TOLERATE WITH PATIENCE AND SUFFER WITH VICTORY. What we suffer today is because tomorrow we will have a victory. Paul died with great glory because he had already known the Jesus that revealed Himself to him. He knew who he was serving. We have the spirit of power to work many miracles, to confuse our enemies, to support trials without breaking. Let us resist, we have to resist and support our trials. We complain and cry in our trials so much! Careful, if we join the soul with the trials, these will ruin us! In the day of the trial so many tears do not allow us to see clear. Jehovah will help us. Let us be persons who learn how to support trials. We have to train ourselves for what is legal and righteous before the eyes of God. We think that it is not necessary to discipline this body and it is the first thing we need to do! It is our love towards God what tosses the fear in us and enables us to give ourselves to Christ, no matter the price. It is easy for some to stop loving God. What we have seen on behalf of God is so much well-being. What does God ask of us? To know Him and to love Him! Let us speak of Christ influenced by the knowledge of the Word and not by our own arguments. Our

love towards our fellowmen makes us willing to tolerate all persecutions. This prepares us to learn how to listen, to grow and to wait in God’s time. God takes us through processes in order to make us understand and they are not the most comfortable. The teachings of God for our lives are not the most comfortable. We show how tolerant we can be in the difficult moments. But, we sometimes live giving opinions and resisting. Our love towards God is what impulses us to desire obedience. God has given us a spirit of love, it does not come from our soul but from the spirit, for that reason it is with strength, with power. For this reason we give ourselves, but we need to know this spirit. God has given us a spirit of good sense, of discipline that is self-control, of auto control. Let us discover and know thru the Spirit what is inside us. Let us use of discretion thru the spirit of self-control and not work in a precipitate and senseless way. No matter how adverse our circumstances may be, we should have a spirit of self-control and maintain good judgment and act with prudence, a sound mind, understanding and sound judgment. Let us have a rectified will, amended, nothing of this world for us. We should have celestial calm because we have self-control, good sense; God has disciplined us. Celestial calm is involved in the spirit of self-control. We have to harmonize our soul with all the powers and capacities. In order to think and speak we should have harmony. In a temptation our soul is very clumsy and wants to act quickly, it wants to take us to act impulsively. We should not allow this! Otherwise, we will have losses. I Peter 1:6 To the knowledge we should add SELF-CONTROL, THAT IS THE CONVENIENT USE OF THE ENJOYMENTS OF THIS EARTH CONSERVING ALL THE SENSES. We should take care of our lives, never allowing the animal man to subdue the spiritual man. God calls Christians to live a disciplined life, with self-control. There are things for us that are NOT permitted because we are Christians. We must learn to control our will. We should have discipline when we pray! First, we must acquire knowledge and then add self-control. We must watch the times thru self-control! Let us watch out FOR THE DESIRES OF THE FLESH! THERE ARE MANY SACRIFICES WE HAVE TO MAKE! 1 Corinthians 9:26, 27 To not be eliminated we should not risk ourselves, but do what God wants. We will not fight against the air but against satanic forces. Let us break our body and submit it to self-control, to what God wants. Severely break it! There are certain things that involve the flesh and we cannot be a part of it, we belong to the Spirit and we walk in the Spirit. Because of the personal danger that exists of ruining our testimony and our life we should discipline ourselves in everything for Christ, for the best. We shall do this always. Amen.
