God Leads Everything, It Is He Who Works in Each One

TOPIC: "God Leads Everything, It Is He Who Works in Each One" 2 Samuel 7: 8

Philippians 1: 6 says, "... being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Being CONVINCED that He who began a good work in us will perfect it! The Apostle is convinced that God will end in perfection the good work, the good work that He has to do in each one who has believed in Him. That's why Paul and Peter followed Christ to the very end of their days upon the earth. Paul was in prison at the end of his life and had no glory. And Peter, though he denied the Lord, was willing to die for Him. So God did and finished His work in these two men. We have to acknowledge that the one who leads THE GOOD WORK in us is God. What happens in our lives is not by our human strength or because of the talents we have; we can’t think that we are the ones who have done a lot. God began the deed, the work and HE will finish it! Let us understand that the work that by His goodness He has started in our lives with His strong arm He will bring it to perfection. This promise that is for all those who believe and follow Him IS a YES AND an AMEN. He will never betray us in His promises. (2 Corinthians 1:20 "... For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.) THE DAY OF JESUS CHRIST that Paul mentions in the verse of Philippians 1: 6 refers to the day of His return to take His people to the celestial home. That day will probably also include Christ’s Tribunal, which is when all the service done to Him will be reviewed and rewarded. 2 Samuel 7: 1-2 "After the king was settled in his palace and the Lord had given him rest from all his enemies around him, he said to Nathan the prophet, “Here I am, living in a palace of cedar, while the ark of God remains in a tent." David's concern was the temple, to build a house for Jehovah to worship and place the Ark. That was the concern, that was the fear and uneasiness that David felt about wanting to build a temple for God. But, in 2 Samuel 7: 4, 5 says that God sent the prophet Nathan to tell him, "Go and tell my servant David: This is what the Lord says: Are you the one to build me a house to dwell in"? Nathan brought God's word to David in which he told him to preoccupy himself in building the temple. GOD ALREADY HAD HIS PLAN. How many concerns we feel for this or that! We ask ourselves as David did, will it happen or not? Fears arise that cover our mind, heart and soul! There are so many anxieties that make us cry, take away our hunger, our sleep and even lead us to despair! A few days ago I heard about a young Christian woman who died and this was of great sorrow to me. I suffered for her children and for her relatives. But, then I observed her children and I said to myself, "God carries them; I don’t see in them complaints or regrets, nor I see that they would feel as victims for the eternal sleep of their mother.” Those children took firm decisions on some things concerning the departure of their mother and for that they were smiling, playing. So I saw and understood what the prophet Nathan said to David, that it would not be him who would build a house for Jehovah but rather his son, Solomon. 2 Samuel 7: 12-13 "When your days are over and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. "

God is who does the work on earth, not us. You and I worry, we become restless and we get fearful about what we can’t have any control. "When your days are over ...," God said to David. The days of our lives are fulfilled according to how God has established it for each one. In some there are many days, in others less and in some almost nothing. This time of life is when God does His work in one, His work will always be FROM HIM IN US! Each one of us will go through and experience HIS WORK, HIS DEED IN US. WE CANNOT AVOID ANYTHING UNTIL OUR DAYS ARE FULFILLED IN HIM; THE WORK THAT HE DOES IN US. David was that man who provoked Uriah’s death, but in his old age he never lived again in those disorderly passions. God began his work in him; David had to be convinced that the one who began a good work in his life was God until the days of his life ended. My beloved Peter; who was daring, bold and fierce, ended his days patiently, meek, taken where he didn’t want to go dying far away from what was his nation. Peter with his shadow healed the sick, when he preached the listeners were filled with the Holy Spirit and so much more; everything was a great deed until his days were fulfilled! And also my admired Paul, who was bitten by snakes, who was in shipwrecks, who suffered many lashes and was hated by his own and persecuted. In the same way, our apostle’s life ended here on earth. WHEN HIS DAYS WERE FULFILLED he went to live among the saints. David had concerns about the temple and wanted to build it, but God already had the one who would perform that work. What each one has to do, that is what he has to do! David had fortune for the temple, he had the musicians, the Ark, the Psalms that he composed, the priests and the place, because he was the ruler of the kingdom of Israel, but God told him: "... I will raise ..." (2 Samuel 7: 12). This is how it will be and we have to understand it: "... I will raise ...”. God is Sovereign and Wise. Nothing is going to collapse or be destroyed if we are not there, it does not depend on us on what will be done or what will not be done. God will do or not do according to His will, wisdom and power. What has collapsed is because it was God who collapsed it. What is built or made is because God was the one who moved HIS HAND OF POWER and did it. David’s concerns were unnecessary. God has been working for millions of years; I’ve only been for 56, and you? Then, who is the one who rises? Who is the one who is doing? Who carries the lives? There is nothing to be concerned about, or to be upset, or to fear. GOD TAKES IT ALL! The deed that His kindness begun in your life, His strong arm will finally take it to a perfect ending. His promise is a Yes and an Amen and He will never betray it. Why fear? Be joyful! Amen.
