The officials of Jerusalem felt safe in Jerusalem in spite of the judgment that God had already proclaimed. God had sent His people to build in Babylon because Jerusalem would be destroyed due to the multitude of sins and rebellions they had been living. But, those who represented the people (the twenty five men), being the main officials, were advising the people telling them they had nothing to fear. In vain they tried to disprove God and His prophets, well we know through the scriptures that God’s judgment certainly came upon the nation and even for the prophet Jeremiah who remained in Jerusalem it did not go well for him and he was taken to Egypt. In this same way, nowadays many Christians are not worried and feel safe from God’s judgment in spite of the sins that exists in their lives. But the Lord would say to them: “I never knew you!” The judgment of destruction will be imminent. Many today, just like those blind and rebellious Israelites, built their houses and keep doing what they want living as they please and when they should be lamenting their sin and willing to leave escaping from the “Jerusalem under judgment”, to escape from the destruction of their lives. Do not stay “in your Jerusalem” when you should leave and escape. For many God has become only “something more”, and is no longer their personal God worthy of loving and serving. For some it is even worse, well God is someone unknown, they do not know Him. “… but I know what is going through your mind” Ezekiel 11:5 says. Things that rise to men’s spirit is everything hidden that allows to rest deep within. They are things that nurture rebelliousness, disobedience, desires and independence of God. We cannot be like the mischievous and disobedient child that in order to manipulate says: “I am not loved”, this is how a child pretends to control those who surround him. A child is someone who is not capable of acknowledging the truth about life, and since he is seeking attention and to have his wishes, desires and childishness granted, they then speak, scream and kick demanding absolute attention to achieve what they want. That cannot be allowed if we want to correct and prosecute the child. A nation that has forgotten God is one where many things have risen to its spirits. The first thing is that they abandon God to attend first their multiple jobs, engagements (commitments) and problems. They are dedicated to attend all that detains seeking God. They do not measure the bad and terrible consequences of being far from God. Oh, how much Satan’s works without losing any time to harm the lives, your own, your children’s, your home and your matrimony! Men are the only ones who like to waste time on earth, not the devil! Do not waste the precious time you have today to seek God and dedicate the best of you that is the best thing you can do. “Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon me…”, the Spirit of the Lord that entered in the prophet is stronger understanding the zeal of the Spirit of God immediately awakened by the disdain demonstrated by the mockers. We forget that we are the blind ones, not God. We are the ignorant who can be deceived with silly words. God cannot be mocked, although any human being may think that he has mocked the Lord and that nothing will happen to him, surely he will receive the worst. We should know that God knows very well what is going through our mind. One can pretend in front of me (the pastor), in front of the brothers, but upon wide your eyes and wake up from that erroneous thought, that god knows well everything that rises to your spirit. God knows everything. God knows everything that is within you (in your interior or inside of you), He knows everything about you, everything. And if you insist in pondering evil against God, with the boldness with which you do it, with that same boldness you will have to face what is to come and expect the terrible results of your actions. See that you have only days of life if you do not repent and escape from the evil. I have also understood clearly what happened with that rebellious nation of Israel. I know of their scorn shown with mockery. I have also seen here mockery at the high level of things that have risen to the spirit of some brothers. Great laughter swamped in great lust without limits, for all that has risen to the spirit of some who are rebellious. You have to confront the situation if you are capable of repenting! Otherwise, your body will remain in pieces for your great sin. I have understood, well your depictive mockery do not escape my attention. Do you think that what has risen to your spirit escapes God’s attention? No! Those jokes, mockery and laughter of the holy, about the altar, about the pastoral have reached God. Do you believe that every act of mockery, of despise has escaped the Sovereign, Great God? I hear what they say in silence: “I’m not worried, I’ll pass to the altar and they’ll believe it!” But, do you believe that your mockery and despise can escape from the attention and the eyes of God. I do know, none of our thoughts can escape God, not even one of the secrets or motives that influence our way of thinking and acting. Your mockery and the way you think that drives you to act is because of what you allowed to enter within you and now you can’t pretend what is in you. Only if you seek true repentance in your heart you will be able to deliver yourself from God’s judgment! Do it for your life! Amen.
