TOPIC: “Turning Back Our Faces” Genesis 9:22 - 27 There are great risks in our great boldness. The bold risk themselves to lose everything. Especially when the boldness is to go against the rules, of what is established. Noah planted a vineyard, a field of grapes. From there he must have extracted the wine he would get drunk with eventually. This provokes to become trapped in one’s own error. The offense or sin committed cannot be seen or followed. Noah, a righteous man, was perfect in his generations. Genesis 6:9 "This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God”. This was Noah, like others called by God. We can see it in David, in Peter and others. This is why beloved; we must be careful who we are going to follow, of course, Jesus who is the only perfect one. Noah was the man who delivered his family from the destruction that came from the flood. For this reason he had a feast; but, I don’t know if it was his old age, negligence or something else, but he showed his nakedness. In this way, the character of this man so eminent and merciful was stained. These are falls, that even if it happened to Noah, it doesn’t have to happen to us. There are things that we should not hold back to observe or analyze, simply, there are imprudent and harmful things that need to be detested and left behind. If what is wrong is seen and heard, it will be considered as common and at the end will be accepted; that is where the fall comes. Therefore, do not be devoted to watch such things when there are more excellent things that we can apply to our lives. Philippians 4: 8 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things." Cam took interest at staring at his father’s nakedness, who was consummated with alcohol. He looked, observed, mocked, laughed, despised, judged, to lose esteem or disrespect that one has for the other person. Cam did this, for he felt the rights over his father’s sin. Cam looked; he stared and took it to his heart. We must never stop to observe or accept evil. I do not like mockery or do I feel pleased with others misfortune; we can’t halt with evilness, or judge it, or accept it. The mind is something that is conditioned. There are those who fornicate, but you are informed of it, then you look, and it seems as if nothing is happening for you, but you should know that little by little you are accepting this. You go and tell someone; it seems normal to accept what happened and even seems common, like nowadays that the bad things are accepted. When you open your eyes, you’ve have already accepted it and even more, it reaches the limit of applauding it. All those who come to God arrive to become holy and pious. When you do not separate the bad from the good, you eat, go out and share with such. And also your own are accepting this and one day they will also do it. What is wrong, what is sin, we must not look at it, we do not consider this, we completely move away from this.

Noah’s other two sons, Shem and Japheth did not look. They took their fathers clothes and they placed it on their shoulders. What their father did put much weight in their souls; they carried with shame the evilness of their father without accepting such action. They did not look, they did not accept it, and they walked backwards turning their faces and did not stare at their father’s nakedness. They did not look at their fathers wrong doing; it did not cause laughter or curiosity, or morbidity, or anything that could awaken evilness in their hearts. There was no place or space for shameless evilness to enter in their lives. We must not look at evilness nor admire it so that there will not be any desire to imitate it and fall. There is a burden when someone sins, his sons had to take his clothing and walk backwards out of shame. Evilness, sin, must not be observed and accepted. There are terrible consequences if we look and touch the evilness of others. Cam was cursed; he brought upon himself and his family a great curse. He would never be free, they would become slaves. Acting with great satisfaction by the evilness of his father brought to his life and to the life of his loved ones great misfortune. Canaan who was a son of Cam became a servant of his brothers, the lowest and the most despicable of slaves. This is what happens when we imitate the perverse practices of our fathers. Beloved, when wrongful things are looked at, they will sneak through our eyes like a snake. You and your loved ones must flee from this. We must leave sin behind, we have been forgiven. There are people who do wrong and we must walk away from them if we want to move forward. If not, sin will also tie us as well. We started well taking away from us all the evilness and the wrong and our sinful ways, then we must finish clean of all evilness. Amen.
