Although the Enemy Doesn’t Want, God Does Want To Bless You

TOPIC: “Although the Enemy Doesn’t Want, God Does Want To Bless You” Numbers 23:25, 26 It was the second time Balak, King of Moab, urged Balaam to curse Israel. Now he was asking him to do it from somewhere else, from another hill. It was for the same reason, to destroy Israel. But, we know that God will have the curse changed into a blessing for those he loves. We should understand that we also have enemies who curse us and wish the worse for our lives. But you my brother, you should be calm, because the Lord called you and will deliver you from evil. Sometimes we have more fear for those who want to curse us then for God, who is in fact whom we should really fear. Our confidence should be placed in the one who blesses us in all. The devil would like you to lose your children, your home, you job, the church, in short everything, but this curse is not for the righteous. Jesus got between the Father and you, on that cross He paid the price of all the curses. In Galatians 3:13 this is very clear. Jesus became a curse for me, for all of us who believe in Him. Deuteronomy 21:23 says that anyone who is hung on a tree is under God’s curse. So Jesus took every curse upon Himself on the cross so that there will be no curse among men. Beloved, why is it that people expect us to live under their curse if Jesus took them to the cross upon Himself so that we could have blessings as His children? God never allowed Balaam to utter by his mouth curses against Israel. We can see that Balaam allowed himself to be used for that type of game with Balak, King of Moab. So do many who hate or envy you. It would be clear to Balaam that God would not leave Israel in ruins. If something was working for Israel, good or bad, it would come directly from God Himself. There was a leader named Moses who fought for those people who God had chosen. No one can destroy God's plans as some would like to do. The enemy would want to stop the call of God in your life. That’s what the devil wants to later laugh at you and at God. The Devil has no direct possibility to ruin what there is of God in you. The devil shouldn’t even try. What God has prepared for you will not change; the sovereign God never changes His mind about what He wants with you. He does not turn back on His promises. God is immutable. At that moment God was not seeing idolatry in Israel, so Israel had nothing to be condemned of. The principal iniquity in those days was idolatry. God caused Balaam to see Israel as God saw them from above. God saw Israel beautiful (Number 24: 5); His treatment with His people was supernatural for His grace and merciful love. This is a product of the sovereign choice of God with Israel. There was nothing Balaam could do. The Almighty God was among His people. God is among us. Balaam had to speak the word that God had put in his mouth, he had no choice but to see Israel as God saw them, in spite of his faults as a person (Numbers 24: 13). Such curse from hell could never have compliance against the blessings from Heaven. The Israelites could completely destroy Moab because who gave them the victory was Jehovah, their God. Then Balak said to Balaam, "Neither curse them at all nor bless them at all!” (Numbers 23: 25) It's like saying, "If you cannot curse them then let’s take away the blessing." It is a picture of Satan, he cannot curse you but he tries to and then afterwards, what he brings against your life is so that you will not be blessed by God. But God took control of Moab, Israel’s enemy. And even though they made altars and sacrifices to God, He would do exactly what He wanted to with His people. Even if there is someone who wants to harm you God will oppose to that and they will have to bless you. The enemy has no other choice but to do what the Lord says. For example, if they do not want to give you the job and have planned to ruin you, at the end they will not prevail and what the Lord says

is what will be done. No one can steal your blessing! So many enemies have risen to curse, but no one can curse the one that has already been redeemed from the curse! And it was for Jesus Christ, as Galatians says! From now on when someone wants to steal your blessings you will be fully aware that your blessing is what will come forth. If you lost your faith and the enemy wants to tell you that there is no blessing, get up and claim what Christ did for you on the cross when He broke every curse that was against you. The blessings of His people and yours cannot stop flowing. When we lack something we all suffer as God’s people. There is no curse upon you because the Lord paid for it on the cross. Where is your blessing today? Do you lack blessings? Believe in Him who has taken every curse so that there would be blessings for you. Even if someone wants to curse you God will take it with His strength and power and will put a stop to it, then you will possess them and they will have to do what is for your blessing. Amen.
