I Can’t Hide From Jesus’ Glance; He Always Goes To The Depth Of My Heart.

TOPIC: “I Can’t Hide From Jesus’ Glance; He Always Goes To The Depth Of My Heart.” John 4:25-29 If we are the sensitive church to do God’s will, we will be able to rescue what God wants to save. In the city of Samaria Jesus met a woman who did not have a good reputation who usually went outside the city to get water. This woman went searching for true love in others and never found it. Jesus had an encounter with her to deliver her from sin just as He did with us. The Lord calls us in His time to take away our sins and that was the greatest thing that ever occurred to her and to each person who has had this encounter with the Savior. Jesus had no need for water or food in that moment and this did not irritate Him. He wanted to reach this woman who had a great need. The life of the simple men is based on complaints; the sensitive and spiritual men know what they have to do. Jesus knew this woman’s steps, in those times and even now the esteem for woman is not great; nevertheless, Jesus spoke to that Samaritan woman. We have to see the love and compassion Jesus had for her, we cannot hide because He always goes to the depth of our heart. He has loved us with all our defects and faults. Jesus’ way of loving is not the same as everyone else. He is marvelous and the wonders we have experienced only come from Jesus. That woman from Samaria had little value before everyone. The disciples were surprised that Jesus spoke to her. But Jesus knows the heart of those He touches. He doesn’t see like the rest but with kindness and mercy. The Lord saw us with love, with pure eyes of kindness and mercy. Sometimes our many judgments do not allow us to see how Jesus works. Jesus was not interested in what she was, but rather what He was going to work in her. It is the same way that He works with us, but first we want to work from the inside of the people. In that encounter Jesus continued to break barriers. When the disciples approached Jesus, the woman left the water jar and ran to the city to her neighbors, those who accused her and did not love her. She had experienced something unique in that encounter with the Lord. She wanted to testify about the Jesus she had met. Her life had been touched and she received faith and hope in the Messiah. Our insistence in prayer should be continuous; we should implore Jesus to give us His blessing, at least the crumbs where Jesus does not want to work. It is in our hands to cry out even for the crumbs. As disciples, if something we should relinquish it should be prejudice and personal opinions. These things disqualify us as disciples. That women left her water jar and returned rejoiced because she had been liberated. But the problem nowadays is that many still carry their “jar” and are not free, and to carry a jar uphill is not possible. Each person’s jar is their past life filled with sin and fear and an emptiness of God. This woman remained free with the “I am” of Jesus, the son of God. When the road is heavy, it is because the jar is still being carried; many things that tie do not want to be abandoned. The freedom of Christ arrived to us, we are no longer slaves. When we have an encounter with Jesus there is a confession on our behalf; Jesus made the Samaritan woman confront herself. It is not just anything what is in our lives; it is a life of sins, errors, running from God’s law, etc. To confront ourselves is more difficult. But Jesus knows everything about us and was capable of forgiving everything. Jesus knew of her sin, her flesh, her lasciviousness. When Jesus confronts us, what we need to do is confess and we will remain free just as it happened with her. What happens is that many are not capable of being brave and see themselves as they are. Luke 5:8 When Jesus reveals Himself to us, we fall on our knees before Him as Peter did on this occasion. The problem is that many times one does not believe God, that is why there has not been any miracles in the life of many believers. There is more victory in the men and women who believe God. When Peter saw the miracle, the Lord had performed before his eyes, a reverent fear overcame him, and when this fear is in us, we measure carefully everything we do. Peter, like that Samaritan woman, acknowledged the majesty of God. The more we see the more we will seek Him. What happens is that no one likes to humiliate and this should be so simple. No one likes to recognize their own evilness. Out of love and so that we will not be lost, Jesus pushes us to what we have been resisting so much, to humble ourselves. Mark 10:17-21 The Word that Jesus spoke to the rich young man caused him much affliction and discomfort. The best thing is to humiliate. Peter fell on his knees and humbled himself completely, but the young rich man became annoyed and was afflicted because of his

arrogance. No one wants to recognize their evilness. That young man left afflicted because he had many possessions. That woman of Samaria was amazed because Jesus looked inside her and delivered her from her sin, and made her free from her past that ashamed her. When God speaks to us it is for our repentance, not to afflict or cause us discomfort. Nothing can hide us from Jesus’ glance because he always goes to the depth of our heart. When God speaks to us it is not to afflict us but to bring us joy and for our well-being, so that we can finally let go of our jug. If there is someone who can see the evil and has the power to heal it is Jesus. She found someone who was spectacular. Then, why don’t we speak of Jesus to those who we know like Jesus did? Jesus is life in us. In our mouth there should not be silence because we know Him. We must watch over our lives and allow the liberty to flow that made us free. That woman’s shame came to an end, she no longer had to pay a price, and she was a new woman thanks to the Lord Jesus who made her free. Let us proclaim the Savior as she did because we are also free. Amen.
