TOPIC: “May My Fruit Be Like A Sweet Fig For God” Jeremiah 24:6,7 The church is a school where we learn. It is where we worship and feel God very closely. This is where we get prepared, we grow spiritually, and we serve the Lord like pleasant fruits. When we arrive in Heaven, we will take the fruits that we delivered here in this earth. We can compare our fruit with the fig tree, a fruit. These figs are sweet and pleasant fruits to our palate. Let us try to bear fruits like the figs, to be sweet and pleasant for God. If we are this way for Him, we will also be the same for the men of this earth. For that reason, we have to be like a fig that is sweet to our palate, to have quality even if we are in captivity, and in spite of our problems and affliction. No matter what we have to live we will be sweet to God’s palate, so that when we present ourselves as a church before Him, we will be pleasant to Him. With our life, with our acts we allow to see if we are sweet or bitter fruits. We decide what we want to be. God had supplied completely the town of Israel; He looks after us even in the smallest details. The Lord has always wanted to be very close to each one of us, He wants to be in our heart. Every time we open our heart to other things we walk away from God. The soul that is full of emotions and feelings disturbs our life; that is why we have to be careful. God saves us, but it is with patience throughout the years that we have to educate our soul through the knowledge of the Scriptures. The town of Israel was filled of worldly things, except God. They became bad figs with no taste for the Lord who wanted to continue to bless them. The problem occurs when one does not want to be an obedient person to listen to God. A fearful person who hears God is moved to do what He asks. When we lose our fear towards God, we become a bad fig. Sometimes, when we are blessed by Jehovah, we become too confident in our heart and we lose the fear and the reverence towards God by taking too much freedom. Then, we stop being faithful believers and we begin to raise gods to substitute the Almighty God. Then, we pretend to demonstrate a false spirituality. Let us be truly spiritual towards God. The good and the best figs are those that mature first and these are the ones that are taken from the fig tree. We should be that first fruit of good quality. Everyone desires a good fig, but no one wants a bad fig because it is not good to the palate. Bad figs cannot be eaten; they are not good at all. Selfishness, for example, is a characteristic of that bad fruit. We, human beings, sometimes become very selfish people even in the small things. When we become hateful and wicked, we are not good enough to be desired and appreciated by the Almighty or by men. Sometimes, we encounter people who seem to be good figs, but they are not. God wants us in Mega Zoe to be sweet figs. When difficult situations occur let us be good figs, let us maintain our flavor, our quality. The sweet fig and the

bad fig are sowed equally, but we will not know how those figs are until we eat them. How do we know if we are sweet figs or bad figs? God wants us to know, in the midst of our afflictions, what we truly are. Sometimes, God blesses us so much that we become arrogant and we end up being bad figs which is what happened in the town of Israel. So, we develop the quality of good figs or bad figs, according to our reaction towards the problems and to the many blessings of God; that is what tells what we are. When a person is a bad fig, he speaks to sympathize with men; he does not speak what God says. Therefore, how dangerous can a bad fig be! Every believer from Mega Zoe has to be like the "early fig", that means the first fruit. The bad fig doesn't want to undergo God’s infringement, he is arrogant and haughty. Contrary to the good fig, when there are afflictions, he knows that the best thing is to lower his head before God and to be humble. An arrogant fig cannot be corrected. The sooner a child is corrected, the better. We will know what to expect from that correction, but what is not corrected in church will become a progressive damage. In occasions, as God did to the town of Israel, He takes us to captivity to correct us. The wrongdoing that is not corrected on time in the church, as the years pass, wants to be imposed, for that reason some become bad figs. Let us give thanks to God, because the hand of correction of God is for our well-being, so that we can become good figs. When there is a good fig in this earth it changes the destination of many things, because this person is an obedient person to God and will do well to others. The afflictions that come to those who are prisoners of sin are for them to humble themselves under the hand of God. If we are going thru afflictions Jehovah will put His eyes upon us to lift us. For the humiliation, when we accept the discipline from God, we become sweet figs. In our affliction and in our pain let us be obedient and go to God in humility. When we are placed in the oven of affliction we will be taken out as soon as we are purified through the humiliation. The haughty one that doesn't want to humble before His God becomes a bad fig that cannot be eaten. God teaches the humble, who will learn by means of the providence of God and will be sweet figs. In the affliction we see the providence of God for us. The greater the affliction, the more we will see God in His providence. Let us not fear or escape the affliction; here we learn more than when everything is under control. Our mind is not completely good to decide and to analyze, for that reason God is pawned in our heart. When we know Jehovah, we turn to Him with all our heart and this way we become sweet figs. Instead of turning to God, the bad fig turns to his pride. The sweet and obedient fig will be recognized by God in the midst of his afflictions, he will be kept in reserve for God for better days. The rebellious will be reserved, but for worse times. We decide what days and what times we want. I want to be a good fig, sweet and obedient to God. Amen.
