TOPIC: “The Word Cleans Me, I Will Grow With It, I Won't Be Disturbed And I Will Be Stable" John 15:3 People speak mostly according to what they have lived and what they have heard from others. It is for that reason that in some occasions Christians mix that of the Lord with superstition. All of the sudden they speak and they don't seem to be people that live by the Word of God. They prefer to speak according to what they have learned in life and in the world that has surrounded them. Brothers, let us understand that we are already clean by the Word that Jesus has spoken to our lives, that the Word is the truth. Those who have believed have the great privilege of that Word that has made them free. We are no longer captive of anything or anyone, because by His Word we have received the freedom; Christ's Word is the purifying agent that works in us and the more we know it the more purified we are. The Word of the Lord puts an end to all our bad habits and to a number of negative things that are in us such as fear, insecurities, etc. The Word gives us strength and keeps us firm in this path. For that reason, the devil seeks to keep us from reading it during the day, he does it to disturb us and to confuse us. But, the Word of the Lord makes us stable spiritually and it finishes with our flesh. The Word is the truth of God for men and it is eternal, it will never cease to be. While Jesus spoke to the disciples His Word went on to purify them. Everyone who listens to the Word of Christ experiences in their life the purifying effect that it produces. The disciples had to forget everything they had learned and begin to establish Christ's Kingdom in their lives by means of the knowledge of the Word that they heard from the Lord. Many people suggest how things should be. They speak according to how they were formed and taught. However, they ignore the truth; they have no knowledge of the Word of God. Jesus always had the Word that He came from the Kingdom of Heaven to establish it in the disciples. These were ordinary men, but they retained the Word that Jesus spoke to their ears. Nowadays, we have a great advantage over them because we have it written. They retained it by the Holy Spirit and left it to us written. We can receive the Word easily; it can be understood and is for everyone, because it is clear and precise. Jesus chose twelve men who watched after Him. They were simple and common men, but Jesus knew what there was in their heart to speak to them and to sow the Word. When the Word is in us it produces security. Jesus spoke what was necessary for our lives, then, we should make it ours. As long as we have the knowledge of the Word it will strengthen us, make us free and will allow us to remain in the faith. The church is not a place of spectacles, but where the Word is preached to purify us. The Word destroys the flesh by purifying us from all evil that is hidden in us. John 8:37 The Word doesn't fit every person. There are only a few who want to receive it. The Pharisees were descendants of Abraham, they were there thanks to Abraham who many

centuries before had believed God. But, contrary to Abraham, they didn't want to be compassionate; there was no place in them for the Word of the Lord as there was in the disciples. For that reason, the Pharisees wanted to kill Jesus. When we are open to receive the Word, we grow spiritually. It is the Word that works in our lives, it purifies us. The Word retorts us and we cry our wickedness and our sin. What we don't cry before God we will have to cry before others in shame. For that reason, it is best to cry before God so that He may forgive us and encourage us. In Him we always gain. The Pharisees were twisting their lives by not walking righteously. The Word confronts, but, if we are not open to the Word, we will walk in pain for the rest of our lives. Jesus' Word was penetrating. When we resist the Word it does not enter, therefore, we will not receive purification. That is what happened to the pharisees. But, when the Word finds space in a life, nothing will be the same. We must never leave this truth that has made us free, not for anything. The Word is above every temptation, it is greater than anything that may come to sift us and greater than everything that exists in this earth. When we resist the Word there is no effect of the truth in us and the next thing would be condemnation. How much love of God for our lives to deliver us! Everything that is in our body, the temptations, our problems, dissuade before the power of the Word. But that depends on us, how open we are to receive it. Why does our heart become disturbed? We, who have received the Word of God, should not be disturbed. Psalm 50:17 The wicked, when reprimanded, underestimate the Word of the Lord. When God speaks to us, He touches us so that we can adjust our lives. Sometimes, we even dare to judge the voice of God without having any fear for our lives. John 8:51 Those who preserve the Word will never see death. It is necessary to open the Word of God every day, to acknowledge and preserve, to not die spiritually but to live in holiness thru the Word. There should be no grief in preserving the Word; we are the ones to decide. Colossians 3:16 The Word should live abundantly in us. It always exhorts us in wisdom because it shows us and we don't speak like everyone else. Thru the Word God guides our lives every day. We are saturated with the Word when it is in our heart, in our home, in our life, in every move. It is the Word that Christ left for His people. In the word there is substance. We are clean by the Word that Jesus spoke to us. The more we know the Word the more we grow, but the less we know the more we digress in our thoughts and in our heart. The Word is the pursuit in our lives of what to do and how to move. As Jesus went on speaking to the disciples the Word had a justifying and purifying effect upon them. John 17:17 When we are able to enter in Christ's sanctification it is like the gold when it is going thru the fire. The devil and our flesh do not want us to read the Word. In order to remain in the faith, it is necessary to acknowledge the Word. Our position is that we are in Christ. We should remain in intimate communion with God in prayer, in the lecture of the Word and in communion with the church. His Word is our best guarantee to remain and to win this race for eternal life.
