My faith will always be true and not fake

TOPIC: “My faith will always be true and not fake” 2 Timothy 1:3 - 7 To pretend is to want to make something seem real when it is not. We should not live with a faith that is not sincere. Our faith always has to be a true faith, not a false faith. Our acts will say if our faith is real or false. If we don't have faith we will not be able to live anything good or lasting. Without faith we cannot have victory in any of our difficult circumstances. If there is no faith in us we are nothing, and we can’t take advantage of the power and love of the living God. We are flesh and bones, we are not superstars, for this reason we need to live a sincere faith. In our lives many things will come up and we will need a true faith. The God who takes care of us is the one who sustains us, He guides us in everything; all that is good for us will depend on the quality of faith that there is in our heart. The faith is sometimes lacerated and it loses essence because we become fatigued. We should believe in the Lord for the salvation of our souls that were in condemnation. Our faith cannot be faked; otherwise, the time will come when we will have to cry a lot. Paul was very satisfied with what God had put in his hands, although that represented having to go through a lot of pain. God puts in those who are going to serve tears, pain, sadness and affliction so that they will die to their ego and vanity. Likewise, Paul expected from his disciple, Timothy, to have the same feeling. Paul was glad to know that God had also chosen Timothy. We should be glad that God has also chosen us. Everything has been given to us for free; we have not made any sacrifices to receive salvation. God’s relationship with Israel has been different to his relationship with us who live in the grace. They live by the law and we live in the grace. Paul had very clear what the grace was. He expected Timothy to feel the same way he felt, in the same way us, a faith that is real. Sometimes, when we speak, we present ourselves as if we were people of faith, but when we’re ready to act our faith appears to be faked. Paul needed to have true faith. Since God has given us so many promises for our lives we know that by faith we acquire, we work and move the gift that God has given us. If we are people without faith we will be paralyzed, because what moves us is faith and not the desire or a good will. Paul was very aware of his responsibility. God chooses us to serve, not to become an ornament. Let us serve with joy what God has requested from us. We have to stop faking our faith and put to work the true faith. As the church we have to be passionate in our call to put in action the true faith, the active faith. Some believe they have been chosen to live where everything is perfect, to be prosperous and to have everything at their feet. But, truly we have been chosen to fulfill God’s call to serve. We can pretend to be something that we’re really not. When God calls, we cannot fake our faith. What can God do through us? Will we only live for ourselves? For Paul to be an

apostle was an honor. We do things in faith and not as a pretense. It is an honor and responsibility what God has given us; we should be joyful. Let us be glad because this is an honor. To be chosen by God’s will and have the privilege of being called is to live every day in faith. Not everyone has this privilege. We are his children in the faith and therefore, we walk in faith. Paul knew Timothy's tears because they were the same tears that he shed for others. The tears soothe the ground. The faith is everything in us, for this reason it cannot be faked. Paul wanted to inspire us so that we will have true faith. We cannot do anything in anyone without faith because it is faith that moves God to do. There is a task we have to carry out in our towns; there are children that need to be taught. The angels see how lovely the feet of those who do what they have to do are, to do well. Our major inspiration should be for someone to believe in us. For this reason we have to be a church with integrity and purity. The faith is durable, always constant; we should never lack faith. We should walk in faith because it is a necessity for those who surround us. We should be a church that is always fighting and battling. The faith keeps us from walking in desperation which is what the devil wants. When we become desperate it is because we no longer have faith and we will not be able to obtain anything. When we lack faith we feel ruined and we stop believing in the power of God. The faith will keep us from collapsing throughout the experiences that we live. The faith that is not feigned is the life of the believer. The faith is not for our ambitions but for what God has called us. The faith is not the vanity in us but the well-being that we can do to others. The feigned faith is not what God wants for us. We have received the inheritance of the faith. How genuine is our faith? What have we been created for? Our call is to have faith, not only for a moment but in the long persecutions and when there is scarcity. Our faith is without feigning in all that we move. For this Timothy was separated. Likewise, our faith has to be the same in order to move God’s hand. The Lord chose us to have a true faith; therefore, we make our life in God solid. There is no place for feigning. Amen.
