The Miracles Of God Are In Men And Women Who Are Righteous, And Are Different

Topic: “The Miracles Of God Are In Men And Women Who Are Righteous, And Are Different” Acts 9:36 - 43 Dorcas was a hard worker, not only in her service to the Lord, but also in her service to others. For that reason she was pointed out. How vain we can become when we have been saved to serve. God chose Dorcas to fulfill a deed, and in order to fulfill that deed is not sufficient to just have good intentions. God chooses us and works in us so we can comply with His service. That is the only way we can manifest the work of serving. No good comes out of human beings. The service is there because the Lord saves our lives from sin, so that we could enter the work of the service. We can never measure God with any human measure, because He is always God. Sometimes we establish our own rules, we measure the church looking to have our needs supplied, and this way we demand everything. Christians should not expect to be supplied, but rather they should be the ones who constantly needs. We forget that we have received salvation so that we can serve. It is the duty of the siblings of the church to pay their tithes and when they don’t they become thieves, because they only seek to be served. We should learn that we are servants and there is nothing better in life than for God to choose us, because the best payment comes from God. Sometimes, we pick up some bad habits of arguing and suggesting instead of feeling the need to serve. What happens is that we begin to make different rules and we walk away from the service. When God speaks one has to run after His voice immediately. God has many things for us in Heaven, but here on earth it’s our turn to do. When God calls us for His service He is the one who creates everything and begins to form us according to how we respond to Him. God sent His saints, His believers, to perform a deed or a mission, which they had to complete. In the Greek language, the word "saints" means "associations". It is to be separated by God; originally it implies that the separate ones are people different from everyone else. Therefore, as Christians we are holy, different people, not similar to the rest of the world. You are a separate person, chosen, far from all that this world is, so that you can be that different person. The Bible speaks specifically of the town of Israel that is holy, different from all the other nations, because God was going to support them, heal them, protect them, etc. God had chosen Israel among all the nations for a mission, but Israel failed the Lord. They turned their back on God and became a common town like the others. The town of Israel failed and did not fulfill their destiny, they disobeyed and lost their privilege. Then, God has chosen the church to fulfilll His purposes. As the church and as believers that we are, it is necessary for us to be different people, we are not similar to the others and we cannot fall like Israel fell. God called us to serve and to love the service. We have been saved to serve. The church has a picture prepared and it is, in order for us to persevere we have to give ourselves, and not expect to be the ones to have everything handed to us. Our service goes as far as giving our lives. The passion of being different and giving ourselves comes from within us. We were rescued from this world of sin to give and that is not once a month but the seven days of the week. Our lives should be urgent for the service. There was a necessity in Joppa, someone of great value had died. There was something urgent in Dorcas, there was an urgency to arrive where Dorcas was because her service had reached Heaven. When God calls us we should know that it is with urgency. It is necessary to be alert. We should be willing because what has been entrusted to us is urgent. We should run after the Master’s voice. But, nowadays, instead of running after the Master’s voice, many go after their own voice and have many excuses. Those who run after the Master’s voice are bold, audacious, it is to be willing to go forward when there is an urgency, because we are different. Sometimes, one cannot do what God asks because one remains in sin, and for that reason one cannot think of God but of their own self.

Peter rose and responded to that urgent call. Perhaps we lack having compassion, pity, pain and tears for those who need us. Or is it that we have become cold and we are not awake? We have to have a willing heart. Each step should be urgent, we have to be ministering constantly. It is urgent the call of God in our lives. Peter was very obedient to the needs of those who looked for him. There are needs and God has saved us and chosen us so that we can respond, to be different, to be alert at all times, willing for the service. Revelations 14:13b Dorcas made tunics, she dressed the naked. Sometimes, human beings are ungrateful because they receive so much and we don't acknowledge it. The dresses allowed to see that Dorcas was not only generous but laborious. What happens is that we live for ourselves. For such a reason, one is not laborious for others, but rather our heart freezes and there is no well-being done to others. Peter, being humble, had everyone leave the room so that there would be no vainglory in him or ostentation. He wasn’t seeking to be applauded, he just prayed for her. The more service we give to God the better our life will be. Peter didn't look for any glory and we shouldn’t either. Vainglory doesn't take us to do things for God. When we do nothing, that is what we receive, nothing. Peter did not come to be seen or applauded. When we want to be seen we are not doing anything out of love. Peter, in complete submission as a servant, kneeled and prayed to God for Dorcas. Servants throw their knees to the floor. Heaven was prepared for Peter in that moment. Why show the face so much, if the best thing is to be hidden? Mark 5:41 In that moment, the act of the Master’s sacrifice came to Peter’s mind. From the knees and the love in Peter the power of God came out. Dorcas, after seeing Peter, incorporated and he welcomed her to a new life. She could not tell about what she saw in Heaven, but rather she continued to be a laborious woman, to do what she had stopped doing while she was dead. As servants, we need our knees. Peter knew that he was doing the Master’s work and that the power is in Him. We should not think of what we can do, but what Christ can do through us. We can have the art to do many things, to teach, to sing, etc., but the earth is also full with that art; now, to be different people is what Christ can do in us. The objective of the miracles is to confirm the divine revelation. Many were converted by the truth that was revealed in them in that miraculous moment. The miracles of the living God are in the men and women that are different, that are holy. Let us be like Dorcas and we will see much well-being. Amen.
