TOPIC: “The Word of God Must Grow in Me and in Each One of Us” Acts 6: 7-15

The disciples were in great trouble, but they made the decision to be one single family and they would grow in the Word. Those days were not good or favorable days because the Messiah had been taken away from them and there was a lot of suffering among them. To speak of the Lord is something that brings much comfort to those who listen, those who are in need and empty. While the Word of the Lord grew so did the people. It will bring much well-being to our lives. A true believer is one who constantly speaks and teaches the Word. But for this one has to be convinced because the more we grow in the word the more we teach it, it will be known and there will be more disciples. When we hear the Word it activates our faith. A true believer knows that there is a power that is divine that we can reach with our faith through the Word. When the power of the Word is known, it comes to transform the lives completely, to redeem and offer the fullness of its power. The Word of God has to grow. If we fill ourselves with other things in this life other than the Word, we won't have that knowledge and we will be held back. This grows in our lives and it is taken to other places. Sometimes as the years pass by we become attached to the vanity of this world. To work in other lives we cannot do it according to what we live, but according to the power of the Word. The Word has to grow in our lives in order to reach others to become disciples. In occasions we don't understand that there is a need for the Word to grow in us and this was received so that there would be miracles. It is a necessity to live with miracles. The disciples dominated in Jerusalem as they spread the Word. They began to order the church, deacons were chosen. To be able to obtain what God has for our lives, for what is coming, will only occur if as the church we say: we have to organize ourselves”. For that reason the Word grew; the knowledge of the Gospel expanded. In silence nothing will expand. The Word began to grow and those men started to act differently. To underestimate the Word of God is a great problem that believers have nowadays. Dominion is reached when there is a growth of the Word spoken by the Lord, expanded. The more we search the more we can give. Once we hold back there is no growth because there is no faith. When we begin to speak things that are useful, how edifying we are! When one no longer lives an abundant life it is because we lack power, then we go after those who do when we should have it. When we begin to speak useful things and the Word is preached we do well to others. The minister prepares for those who will listen to acquire, take and possess the best weapons for their necessities, problems with their children, etc. We should prepare ourselves in the knowledge of the Word, to grow, and then we will be more useful. The Word is ours for all that we have to live, for what will come later. The Word is useful to make our decisions. The more we are enlightened with the Word, the better we will live and move the hand of God. The deacons would participate in the material matters of the church. Esteban was chose, a male full with faith and the Holy Spirit. Let us move the hand of God with our faith. Men with faith and full of the Holy Spirit move a different life compared to the common that others live. When we have the Word we begin to spread the knowledge, we know how to move and how to move others. Sometimes we do not value the Word that we hear, but rather what’s in our mind, what’s in front of us. A power is needed to reach others with the Word. The more we expose the Word, the more believers we will have and will continue to expand. When there aren’t

Christians to preach the Word of God it seems strange to us that it becomes scarce. When the Word becomes scarce destruction comes to the Church. When those that are entitled to have the Word disappear, everything becomes scarce. Among the common people the gospel was known to all because the Word kept growing. When there is thirst, that thirst ties the Word to us. As long as there is hunger for the Word to grow in us, there are many that will acknowledge it. When the devil manages to silence us with vanity, gossips, etc. then the Word does not grow. If we detain what the devil wants to do, we will do well to those who are depressed. The power is in the Word. It’s not only to listen, but rather we need to live by the Word and that is growth. Let us understand what the power of the Word is. The more knowledge of the Word there is, the more miracles there will be. There are things and topics that don't belong to us as believers. They had resisted to the miracles of the Lord, but they surrendered to the doctrine of His death and resurrection. The priests began to obey the faith. People convert because of the preaching of the Word, that Christ died for our transgressions, sins and that He resuscitated. If powerful men rise, the faith of many can change. Esteban was a diligent and faithful man in the fulfillment of his occupation. He acted with power, prodigies and signs. He was faithful in the little things and placed in greatness. The more the gospel expanded, the more changes occurred in Israel. By faith we neglect ourselves. When one is disobedient there is no faith, there is no love towards others, no serving; then, by faith we have to vomit what’s inside of us. Esteban became a defender of Christ's cause. When the Word is preached, setbacks occur. This way we are tested. For not accepting setbacks we have not reached what we should have reached. Only God made Esteban capable. He preached the Word with an irresistible power; no one could silence him. In the setbacks we continue to receive prodigies and miracles. But we also lose courage and we want to die. Esteban loved Moses as if he was a part of him. He knew that his soul ended in that defense. Esteban was a splendid man. Verse 15 Those who were there saw the face of an angel that glowed, pure and well. If we want to be people who speak the Word, we have to know that the setbacks will come. If our faces reflect anger, nuisance, annoyance, disillusions, etc., then, we cannot spread and carry out the growth of the Word. Esteban found perfection, for that reason the Lord took him. The glory of the Lord was seen reflected in his radiant face. From a consecrated follower we see a life surrendered to the Lord, decided to proclaim the Word. May our face reflect that there is a sacred God and that for such a reason the Word is proclaimed. Amen.
