Topic: “I will look after my heart from fear and I will not make my own plans" 2 Kings 10:30, 31

We must not let our heart become fearful. Jeroboam’s fear led him to sin and make bad decisions. When fear arrives we are left without understanding and great dangers arrive. The fear that Jeroboam felt led him to make decisions with the people. Fear doesn't allow us to walk with good sense. God had given Jeroboam big promises (1 Kings 11.37); then, there was no reason to fear. With God, we have everything to gain. The children of God are not defeated. When there is fear, the heart begins to make plans and to use its own means, although these are sinful, and it does not occur that these sinful means will distance us from God. Then, one doesn't walk according to God’s plans. The power is something that makes human beings crazy. This is very dangerous because when this power seizes us we do not plan wisely. When God wants to bless us He imposes rules and the more humble we are the more God will use us. We are on holy ground. God has always wanted well-being for our lives. The evilness is in the man's heart, for that reason the spirit is the one that lightens our heart. We must never hide our heart or let it rot, because that is dangerous. We must remain until the last day of our lives in what God has chosen for us. Let us trust what He has for us, let us enjoy what He has given us in His time. God calls a nation to put what is in His heart. God wants to bring to our heart what He wants to bring, but for this our heart has to be willing. If we allow it we will gain and not lose. Sometimes we live as we were defeated, but the devil is the one who is defeated. God through His spirit puts in our spirit what He wants for this world, for our home, work, family and wherever we move. If we don’t allow Him, we are going to live in the flesh and things will not go well. The problem is that we make decisions in the flesh and we are not the only ones who suffer the consequences but also those who surround us. The heart is perverse and deceives those who allow it. God does not move in the same way men do. God chooses mortal men to place His divine heart, then we can see how many blessings we can have or how much evilness we can bring to our lives. When God chose Jeroboam He saw an energetic man, but then deceit arrived. The devil fights against us so that we will not do what is in God’s heart, so that we will be affected and all those who God wants to bless through us. We have to feel what God feels in His heart. Our victory is in God and He does not fail. If we do not do what God wants we are scarce. God chooses to put in us His will, His power and His blessing. The enemy tries to entertain us so that God will not put in us what He wants. We cannot do what is in God’s heart if our heart is idle, if it resists or has become ill or if there is bad intentions. Our heart has to be healthy. We have to be guided by the heart of God in everything. The idleness is enemy of God. When a heart becomes ill it is very dangerous because it is far away from God. Harshness is not good. It was in God’s heart to terminate Ahab’s house and Jehu did at that moment, but God always wanted him to be willing. We should watch our heart so that we will not carry Jeroboam’s sin. Jehu was in God’s plans to do what He wanted. If we comply and do right we will see much wellness. This is why

Elisha lasted many years doing God’s will. Jehu was careless in walking in God’s law. He complied with what he had to do, but he did not walk in Jehovah’s law with all his heart. When we take care of our heart it is when we are willing to leave everything. Luke 18:23 When we desire for God to put His heart in our heart, what He feels, we have to surrender to Him completely. When we are willing to leave everything to trust God completely, then He will always come to our favor. Let us remove our fears, because He will be the one who will provide everything. It is in God’s heart to use us and put in us what is in Him, but, are we willing? When one has other sources, other forms of working, miracles are not necessary. To follow Him we have to take care of our hearts. He wants to see things done and we are the ones who will do it. When fear is in us these fears makes us raise idols, as the calves of Jeroboam. God wants to do great things when we are capable of believing Him. God sometimes tells us to sell what we have and follow Him, but our fears lead us to make plans, but what God wants He does. God gave Jeroboam promises, but he exchanged them for idolatry. We shouldn’t change, but sell what we have to sell. Jehu remained with Jeroboam’s sin, he also worshiped the calves. Let us take away all that there is in our hearts so that we will be clean. God is not in the plans of men who have fear. We cannot continue to seek what we want but join God. Because God has many things to do and He will do it through us. Amen.
