Topic: “I will leave my prepotency, I will pray as a helpless and Jehovah will come to my favor". Psalm 102:1-17 When one gives himself to God to receive salvation and to love Him and serve Him, one commits forever and does not stop in the midst of the battle. All those who want to know God deeply shall do so each day of their life. What happens is that some only seek God when it is convenient and in that way they ignore who God is. It is necessary to know the greatness and sovereignty of God and to fear Him with all reverence. We must approach God with a noble spirit. In the moment of suffering and pain we don’t protest against God because we are the ones who provoke our bad situations. Here, the psalmist shows the maximum expression of pain that he is feeling. When we are subjected to the intense pains of this life, we go through the psalmist's experience. The psalmist recognized that he was feeling helpless. Psalm 102:17 Many times in our prayers we go before God with allegations defending our evilness. But, being the devil that accuses us before the Father, why don’t we pray and raise a defense? Let us not forget the attacks from the darkness that intensify by multiplying its efforts; this is when we need to intensify our prayers. But what we do is we try to justify our situation, instead of intensifying our prayer. The Devil wants us to feel a burden for everything and to be scarce in prayer. But, when our spirit is in pain we must pray with intensity. What happens is that it is better to present to others our cause instead of being more intense in our prayers. If we pray we could be guided. We need to pray when difficult times arrive. God will send His consolations upon us when He sees abundant tears pour out from us. We have to provoke the power of God by believing. This is why we pray. If we believe Him we can provoke to move God with our prayer. People cease to pray and they say that God doesn't hear them, but what happens is that it is necessary to begin to know God in His sanctity. When we ask from Him it should be under His sanctity. God always favors those who know Him. We know the power of God according to how we experience it and we seek for Him. The more we know God the more we will gain. Let us implore with sincerity, not like other people who present to God only what they want; prayer has to be intense. With intensity we speak to the great God with sincerity and reach his heart and ear. It is of great relief in the affliction to let others know of our affliction and what we’re going through, but the best thing for our lives is to have God Himself as our listener and sympathizer of our complaints. There isn’t anything greater in our lives than to live with intensity. God can see and hear those who believe him. We are helpless, we need God for everything. He is great and the one who does on our behalf. When the answers to our petitions are approaching, they are but surprising and encouraging and that makes our faith grow. When one is in great depressions the days vanish like smoke. Vs. 3 Pain is something that destroys, that is why we are helpless. A dry heart caused by an intense pain refuses to be consoled. We have to depend on a God who is alive. When there is affliction it brings a sharp intense pain that monopolizes the mind and drags it to the bottom. Therefore, common things like eating become completely despicable. When the heart is shriveled like the grass, the spirit is paralyzed; the stomach loses its appetite and we stop eating. Sorrow causes the body to faint. Sometimes we think that the favor of God was not there because we did not receive what we requested. Then we think that Jehovah left and there is an affliction, but it is not of rebelliousness or of anger. The psalmist compares

himself with the pelican of the desert and the owl of the loneliness. Vs. 6 these two types of birds are emblems of misfortune. There are times when the cause of the depression of the spirit feels like death. Vs. 13 If we are willing, Jehovah will rise and will have mercy. God loves us, then we can see clearly and precisely what the psalmist says. The term has arrived and when God’s time arrives, neither Rome, the devil or persecutors can prevent the Kingdom of Christ from expanding. God has called us and there is nothing that can prevent the Kingdom of Christ from being extended everywhere, without limits. The helpless are not the ones that rise but a powerful and great Jehovah. The time designated by God is for the church to believe, to be more interested in the plans of God and be more sincere. Without faith we are not suit to deserve God’s mercy and without humility we are not suit to receive it. As we get to see and know the glory of God, we will allow others to see that the glory of God is among us. Jehovah considers, listens to our prayers and opens His chest. In the darkest or cloudiest day we may have, the sun will shine. When mercy is seen throughout the world, God appears. A helpless person is defenseless, unable to have power. The glory of God declares, speaks. The problem is not our capacity but the intensity of our prayer, because God hears the prayer of the helpless and has not discarded their request. The helpless have to know how to pray. The rebellious are unable to pray and to congregate. The disgrace of the helpless has taught them marvelously the art of offering prayers to God. Let us see ourselves as helpless so that we can learn to pray as helpless. If we pray with the arrogance of doing things by ourselves then Jehovah will not interfere, but if we are helpless people and dependant of prayer, Jehovah will move in our favor. We are helpless in strength, knowledge, influence, truth, happiness and faith. Let us be in consecration, in total knowledge of the Scriptures and renouncing to our arrogance, greatness, to what we believe we can in our capacity. When we see our misery and our incompetence then we will have a desire for grace, for utility, because the Father's love poured in our hearts is what makes us rest totally in Jehovah, who considers our prayers and doesn't discard our requests.
