TOPIC: “I will not Multiply Words of Greatness and Haughtiness But rather I will Glorify God” 1 Samuel 2:3 Our knowledge can be measured according to how much we fear God. We can also know as we do God’s will by allowing Him to guide us and showing how confident we are in Him. The godly life in us should provoke others even when we are not speaking. The more knowledge we acquire the more we will fear God. If we lack this knowledge, we won’t be able to glorify God. When we glorify God we magnify Him, we exalt Him and we recognize His existence. To Him be the honor, then, we are to praise Him. Ana was a woman with so much knowledge; this could be seen through her character and her acts. The glory we give to God is at the same time our comfort and our courage to continue to live our lives. The more we adore Him and we bless Him it will be good for our lives. Our praises will draw Him closer to us. How profound are we when we praise Him? This will show precisely when we adore Him. In our difficult moments our sacrifice shall be to praise Him, because He deserves the glory. We do it because He is God and not because of what we might be feeling in that moment. The more we praise Him in spite of our adverse situation or problem; we let Him know that we love Him, so we praise Him with all our strength. The more we grow in knowledge the more we will know God. Those who want to gain have to understand that we must grow in knowledge. Ana was in great distress, she needed a miracle from God and she knew who to cry out to. She understood that Jehovah had the power. When we understand that the power comes from God it is because we have acquired wisdom and we begin to receive all divine information. Ana knew that God would answer her. When there are needs in our lives these will drive us to pray, and when our prayer has been answered it is because we have exercised faith; we know that we will have an answer to our request and for this reason we give praise to our God who listens to us and in whom we have believed. When we have been deceived we know that Jehovah has listened to our prayer. The world lives with many petitions, but those who have knowledge are the ones who come back to glorify God. Luke 17:15 Jesus healed 10 lepers, but only one of them came back to glorify Him because he had received a miracle. We cannot have anything by our own merits; our capacity is very fragile and will eventually break, because the strength is not in us but in our great and powerful God. The leper that returned showed the knowledge there is in a man when he glorifies God. In those days the lepers were not allowed to be near other people, but those 10 men found out that Jesus was passing by. Some were seeking their own convenience, but only one had understanding and glorified God. They knew that the miracle that they needed was in Jesus and after being granted the miracle, they found all that they were looking for. But only one returned, he came back to the Lord and glorified Jesus and was made a new creature by putting his trust in God. He began to walk in another way prostrated at the Teacher's feet, giving Him thanks.

We sometimes forget the things which we have cried out for. When we know God we will wear out more for Him; we will glorify Him and then He will descend and we will be under His glory. Sometimes we take the words of our enemies as if they were true, but we have to know that our God who is powerful will continue answering our petitions. We won't be like those who are only looking for their personal healing, but rather we will have a thirst for God’s knowledge. The more we learn the less we will be deceived by others. Seeking to be humble will keep us from multiplying words of greatness and arrogance. We must seek the knowledge that comes from God in order to not be deceived. When there is fasting and prayer God hears it and answers when we are in difficulties, whatever our needs are He is there to work on our behalf. Sometimes we play with words, but those who struggle must know that we cannot multiply words of greatness with our mouth but rather we must glorify God. As the Church we must not multiply words of greatness and haughtiness but glorify God so that God will do what ever is lacking in our lives. Those who know God give Him glory. God will keep on blessing us, but as the church we must learn to keep our mouths closed because what is exalted in rivalry, in rebellion rises against God. Let us be wise and fear God. Those who know God will glorify Him. Love is patient and there are many needs in our lives. For this reason God is the only one who can answer us and we must recognize that God is the God of all wisdom. We can speak and speak, but Jehovah is the only one who really knows what is really inside of us and before Him all words seem arrogant. Those who have knowledge of God will not listen to arrogant words that come from others. Each one seeks their own interests. Let us conserve the knowledge of God in our lives. As God’s church we must be careful. Let us be as Ana. God is the wisest. And this wonderful God gives us and many times we turn our backs on Him. If a man believes he can say as Ana said: "Because the God of all wisdom is Jehovah and He is the one who weighs our actions.” The wisdom belongs to Him and only He knows the intention of our heart. Not knowing God is not good for us, but to know the God who answers our prayers, is to glorify Him with the best of our praises. The devil wants to take away from us the worship that belongs to our God. Let us praise God at all times. The devil enjoys it when we don’t give God the praise and glory. God is who weighs our acts and not us. Every action should be weighed. Where no one can see, that is what God weighs and He knows why He does it. The God of all wisdom is Jehovah. Let us not think that we are the wise ones, let us put aside the feelings of greatness and the haughtiness and give the glory to God forever. Amen.
