Separated From God There is Nothing We Can Do

TOPIC: “Separated From God There is Nothing We Can Do” John 15: 5 Separated from God there is nothing we can do. We only betray ourselves because we are filled with so many arguments, with our own logic and human reasoning. We are capable of confronting others but not ourselves. Many are so full of so many things that they live with a great burden. Their conversations are not sincere. Those who live a light life because they have decided to live in purity, in truth are blessed. We must not turn into a big lie. We must speak things as they are and not with lies, because then slowly we begin to walk away from God. We think we know how to live this life and how to make the right decisions by ourselves, but separated from God we cannot do anything. If we really decided to know ourselves we would confront ourselves and then we would make the right decisions. Many are full of vanity, vanity that sieves and possesses making us act wrongfully by following our feelings. When we speak according to our vanity we become self-sufficient. Sometimes, as time goes by, we want to help God, but without Him we are nothing. But God, without us, will keep on being God. We must live with a conviction, not in fantasies but in pure reality. If we are filled with ourselves we walk as we please and we forget that without God we are nothing. The person who thinks only of himself doesn’t want to see those who surround him and becomes a cruel person. There is a no higher demand in this world as there is for us who are the children of God. We must be in Him to have life, the life is in Him. Life is not because we breathe, life is Christ; if He wasn’t in us, how could we live? If He wasn’t in us we wouldn’t have peace. The future is uncertain; if we are filled with ourselves we will have no consolation. We seek for strength to conquer in ourselves instead of filling ourselves with God. We must seek God and thank the Lord for everything He has given us. Christ is the vine. The branch is what bears the fruit. Life doesn’t come from the branch but from the vine. The branch totally depends on the vine to be nurtured. Then, those who have believed know that they depend on the vine because the life is not in the branch. We are the branch of the vine and life flows from the vine to the branch, and if we are branches we must let the life flow in us. Away from the vine there is no life. We must die to so many arguments that are in us because this is what it means to die to ourselves and not nurture from any other source. The branch needs to be trimmed, but not the vine, for it is a strong stem. We must die each day in order to be a branch nurtured by the vine. How are we going to acquire and be nurtured by the vine if we are so full of ourselves? The branch gives the fruit and we must give 100, 60 and 30 times. The more we die to ourselves the more fruits we will bear. If we let the vine flow through us we will gain. We must seek Christ to live in our lives. To be in our Father’s business we must be willing to die. Peter died to himself each day and Christ became greater in his life. Peter wore himself out and was able to move with compassion because he was capable of dying to himself so that the life of

Christ would fill him. If we want to be merciful and have Christ live in us we must die to ourselves. If we don’t, Christ will not remain in us. The branch must bear fruit. The branch is not good to make furniture, it only has one utility and that is to bear fruits. Christ wants to manifest to this world through us, we are the branches. If we decide to remain in Him we will bear many fruits. And in order to give many fruits we must love. Love does not come from us, but from God. God chose Peter because he was willing to give his life 100 percent completely to God. As the days went by Peter was pruned as a branch in order to bear fruits. We think that our life is easy, but the real branches are pruned, and whatever is hindering them is taken away so that it will be green and flourish and bear fruits, because a dry branch cannot give fruit. When we love we are determined to be like Peter. When God chooses us to give 100, 60 and 30 He does it to take away from us our arguments, so that we die to ourselves and fill us with fruits. If we are negligent and there is no prayer in our lives we lose contact with God. The secret of prayer is that we will be able to stand against any storm. The more we pray the closer we will be to Jesus and in this way we will gradually die to ourselves. It is so important for a branch to bear fruits. Without God we are dry with no fruits. The 100 percent is not our human capacity but the disposition to love. Our existence is extracted from the vine. We are what we are today because of what we have taken from the vine. Who ever walks away from God turns back for the worse because they will be possessed by seven more demons. There is a world filled with dry branches separated from God, filled with sin because when we walk away from God there is nothing we can do with our own strength. The branch that says that it doesn’t need the vine is good for nothing because it is dry, far from the vine. If there is no communion with the vine there is no fruit. Without Jesus we cannot do anything because in us there is no good, no piety, no kindness and no mercy, because all of these come from the vine. Without the grace of Christ human beings cannot do anything. Only in Christ our lives change and we depend on God as branches. We do not depend on other humans, but from God in order to take all the good things in God to have in our lives. We need to produce well-being in others. Separated from God we will only have sadness and pain. We will not be able to do things with our own strength, but because we can lift our eyes, our hands and pray to Him and receive. He is the life and the truth. Separated from Him there is nothing we can do because a branch by itself is useless; it dries up. It is better to never have known Him than to know Him and turn back. Separated from Him we become useless. When a person is dried up it is because they are not praying. The branch that loses communion with God will not get to know God’s mysteries and his branch will dry because separated from Him there is nothing we can do. This is where the great problems begin and the attacks. Judas didn’t want to be close to the vine and he condemned himself. We must remain faithful. Amen.
