I will shatter my Flesh and I will Live in the Spirit

TOPIC: “I will shatter my Flesh and I will Live in the Spirit” Romans 8: 1-8 If there is something we should know well is that we should shatter our flesh. God begins to work with us day by day with love, tolerance and patience. He sometimes speaks to us strongly and other times softly, but we should not measure that but rather relax in His love, watch how God works in us or leads us, how He tolerates us in order to take us to higher places and bring well to our lives. Our flesh does not help us in any way but rather kills us with its concupiscence, it destroys us. We cannot think that it can be enough to have ¾ parts of our lives filled. Our problem is that we need to die to our flesh. Our flesh is obstinate, it is obsessed by a single thought, it begins to possess. Then we begin to change God’s knowledge and from here it begins to destroy us and later those who surround us. We have to examine how we are fighting against our flesh. If we know the scriptures we will know how to deal with it. The flesh asphyxiates our spirit completely when we live for it. But, each one decides if we are going to stop our flesh or not. God is who sees hope in us and if we allow ourselves to fall in His hands He will begin to work in us. We sometimes live tripping and blaming others, but the problem is that we are tripping with our own flesh. For those who live in the Spirit there is no condemnation, but for those who live in the flesh there is condemnation. Jesus died, resuscitated and ascended to Heaven so that there would be no condemnation in us. He is sitting at the right of the Father, but the Holy Spirit is on Earth in Jesus’ place and the Holy Spirit lives in us because the precious blood of Jesus covers us. When we pray Jesus intercedes for us to the Father. Romans 8: 26 We must decide if we are going to live for the Holy Spirit that has been sent to us. The Holy Spirit is the same yesterday, today and forever. Those who have believed in Jesus must continue to live in the Spirit always. If we live in the Spirit there will be no condemnation because we will walk as He wants us to. There will be condemnation if we live in the flesh. Those who live in the Spirit will not live according to their emotions or by what they feel, but rather they will be formed as a man and woman stable and firm. Those who decide to live in the Spirit will be guided by God’s voice and will live according to the Spirit wherever they are. The more we read the Word of God the more we will know God. When we walk according to our flesh great dangers will come. Two laws exist: that of the flesh and that of the Spirit. If one lives in the law of the flesh there is condemnation, but if we live in the law of the Spirit there is life. We cannot live this life if we do not live in the Spirit because it is hard and it hits us hard. Otherwise, in our oldage we will cry and in Hell eternal crying will come and nobody will be able to give comfort there. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. God is God. The law of the Spirit is to strengthen us, to live a sacred life and to draw us away from sin. If we live by the law of the flesh this is for death and this will bring us a lot of destruction. If we have believed in Jesus and we have been delivered of the law of sin then we have been called to live in the Spirit and to live as it is necessary for the church to live.

In the antiquity it was impossible for men to comply with the Law of Moses, then God had to send Jesus as likeness of sin. He suffered as any man of this earth, but in Him there was no sin. Jesus had to come in flesh and His flesh was crucified so that we no longer have to live according to our flesh but rather we decide to live in the Spirit. He condemned the flesh for this reason, He doesn't like our flesh and He has to keep reminding us that we need to live in the Spirit. With the law it was impossible to produce a sacred life. Men are weak because of sin that came from Adam. God gave the law because man fell and this is why Jesus’ body had to be crushed for our sins. His flesh was tortured, grounded, full with scourges, of scorn, of humiliation so that in us there would be the law of the Spirit and not the law of the flesh. Because of Adam men are attracted by sin. Those who have believed in Christ have to die to all that. In order to be a Spirit filled Church we have to understand that our sinful human nature has to die in us. We sometimes take as a joke to say to others: "you are carnal"; to say this is to be far from the Spirit. God’s justice has delivered us from condemnation. In us there is no sin; therefore, there is no longer death since Christ suffered for our flesh. To walk in the flesh is to have the law of the flesh and this brings death. The nonbelievers, those who lack knowledge, live in the things of the flesh and it pleases them, but as the years go by eternal condemnation arrives. Let us prefer to have justification and not death or sin. We have the law of the Spirit that justifies us for salvation. Those who are and move according to the Spirit with the Father and with the Son decide to live according to what the Spirit has decided for them. For this reason we shatter our flesh and we walk over it in order to live for eternal things. We search for what is eternal to move the Kingdom of God in this earth, which is joy, peace and love. We must walk away from anger, hatred, disputes, and vanity. All this brings death. If we live for the flesh our hearts will become hard and we will abandon the Lord who died for us by filling ourselves with poison which only brings death. We must shatter our flesh. With poison we cannot reason. We will only stop loving as we are supposed to love. Those who live in the Spirit have life and peace. They have a security of true life, they live in peace with God, they are relaxed, and they don’t live disturbed or worried. Those who live in the flesh do not want to lean on their authorities, the one who governs in the third Heaven, to the sovereign God, and to get there we need to shatter our flesh completely in order to not live according to our own will and to please God. We have decided to live according to the Spirit of God that lives in us and that allows others to see who we really are. Nobody that lives in the Spirit can betray others. Those who don’t have the Spirit of Christ do not belong to Him and without Him we hate, we fight, we fornicate, etc. Galatians 5:16 The Spirit and the flesh cannot be together; there is always a struggle. John 3:6 The flesh is flesh, it cannot accommodate the Spirit, and justification cannot be given. The flesh is condemned. Mathew 26:41 The Spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Corinthians 15:50 The flesh and the blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. We must defeat our flesh if we want to inherit the Kingdom of God. The enemy doesn't want us to have the Kingdom of God. Let us shatter our flesh which is our problem. Let us live in the Spirit and we will begin to see things in a different way. If we live in the Spirit, God will have communication with us and we will understand everything. To crucify our flesh is not to do it alone but with Christ. This we will do forever. Amen.
