Samson was a Nazirite but he was a prisoner of his own concupiscence

TOPIC: “Samson was a Nazirite but he was a prisoner of his own concupiscence” Judges 16:21 When Samson was at the end of his government as judge to Israel he began to give rise to the concupiscence of his flesh. We should always be careful to end our lives successfully. As the years go by we must grow closer to God. We sometimes don’t know what it is to live the essence of life, but rather we live taking things for granted and for this reason there is no happiness at the end of our lives. Samson yield to his evil ways by living a wild life. The only thing that Samson could have with the Philistines was war, but he made it a habit to be among them. The world is like a big cage and if we don't walk away from it, it will trap us. Samson was separated as a nazarite for God; he was the only judge that was separated since he was in his mother's womb. God sometimes separates a person and in the last moments of his life he is dragged away by his own evil desire. Samson was able to govern in Israel because upon him was the power and the grace of God. If the Philistines were the enemies of Israel, then why was Samson after their harlots (prostitutes)? Why contaminate his body? It is very dangerous to contaminate the sacred. Samson was a Nazarite, separated and chosen for God, but he forgot this at the end of his years. It sometimes becomes as a game to fall into temptation as Samson did. He forgot that he was there to help Israel, to give them strength and that the strength came to him only from the Holy Spirit. Israel was secure as long as Samson was alive. The problem with believers is that it becomes a game and it becomes a habit to take our Savior to the cross every day. We must not play this game. Samson walked away from prayer and was not seeking God. Our body is sometimes conditioned to laziness. Prayer is when we set aside time to speak to God. When we stop to pray we become insensitive. Samson thought that he could do as he pleased with the grace that was given to him. Judges 16:1 Samson was with a prostitute and the Philistines were looking for him to kill him. Judges 16: 2 Samson thought that he was going to get away with it, but the Holy Spirit was no longer with him. He was surely going to show off that he had something supernatural. He went mad. It is easy to go mad when we stop seeking God. Our reasoning fails. Samson rested in the power that was upon him, and did not go before God with a humble and broken heart. We are administrators of the power of God, in us he glorifies himself. We work and we preserve ourselves for our latter days. When we go before God in prayer we are working for tomorrow. When we stop praying the fall will come. When we rest in our own strength the power of God begins to leave. But the more we pray the more God is manifested. We have to fill ourselves of God’s grace. Let us be filled with his grace. Nothing comes from us, everything comes from Him. May the Holy Spirit descend upon us! Samson fell in love with a woman who served no purpose for God. Samson was far from God’s will. Power is not in a man's nature but rather it descends from God. We need to go to the only one who has the power. When we depend totally on God we know that we have to take care of ourselves. The games of life were over for Samson. He didn’t know that this was going to be his last game. The Philistines were curious about Samson’s strength and wanted to know where it came from and they were going to defeat

him. The enemy is always seeking for a way to make us fall asleep, to dominate us and then when we try to escape we will not be able to. When we are tied and dominated it is very difficult to get out of it. The secret of a righteous is to remain in prayer, searching for God. The enemy wants to draw us away from God, to restrain us and then take us and do with us whatever he wants to do. A person that is tied up cannot go anywhere. The Father doesn't want chains in our lives. The Father wants us to understand the Word. Trials are not the greatest things in our lives. We must not take too serious our trials. We are subjected to diverse trials, but that doesn't mean we have to live restrained. When we have not been intimidated we understand that the power comes from God and not from our own strength. We must be directed by the Holy Spirit. Our struggles cannot restrain us. The devil blinds us and a blind man stumbles. Be careful with the Church, let us love the church and protect it. The Philistines plan was to destroy Samson and leave him blind so that he would become the jeer of the world. The Philistines wanted to know the secret. Samson allowed them to know that he had a secret when everyone should know that the power comes from God. After the enemy conquers, then he ties us up and dominates us. God had already left Samson. With so much disobedience and flesh God had to leave. The game begins little by little until we arrive to that fatal point. Samson ended up being the prisoner of the princes' of the Philistines. Samson was weak in the perversity of Delilah. The enemy comes with perversity. How horrible is the flesh when we give place to seduction! Samson, Judge of Israel, with a supernatural wisdom, trusted that the strength was his and he administered it as he pleased. Delilah was a villainous, shameless woman, but because of Samson’s concupiscence he allowed those doors to open. He was exposed to great danger and exposed his people. Let us escape, and not let the enemy defeat us. We cannot lose our sight. We must not expose ourselves to great dangers. Samson continued his game and his soul was reduced to human anguish. Samson told the secret of his strength and he became weak. If we are weak we won't be able to conquer. When our soul is in anguish we will begin to speak what we shouldn’t. Samson told her from the beginning the call he had received from God and he told her that the secret was in his hair. His dedication to God was the source of his strength. When he revealed the secret that he was a Nazarite from birth, it was like rejecting God. His long hair was not the source of his power but the external indication of his call. His strength came when the power of God descended. When he no longer had his hair he would not have the power of God. All his strength had left. A woman had more strength than a thousand men and more than 20 years of walking with God. How tricky can seduction be! They took Samson as a joke. If we allow someone to tie us up we will lose sight. They made him thrash wheat, they took him as a slave, that strong man, who had the promise of God when he was born, and to whom the Lord Jesus' became manifested. He didn’t obey the word of God and allowed the philistines to conquer him. He no longer had strength. If he would had lived a life of integrity and sanctification he would have died in a better way. He died together with those pagan Philistines. There was only one more opportunity and the power of God descended for his death. The loss of sanctification and separation leads us to the loss of power and to ruin. If we yield to our body, to sin, we are working for our own destruction. The world is not for us. For this reason we will serve Jehovah and only Him. Amen.
