I will be careful of temptation so I will not fall in sin

TOPIC: “I will be careful of temptation so I will not fall in sin” Genesis 3:1-11 When we separate from God we must understand that this will only bring shame to our lives. Our feet become one of the most dangerous things because sometimes they take us to places where we shouldn’t go. There was no reason for Eve to wonder near to that tree, but she looked at it and she desired it. The snake was also there, the devil (Revelation 12:21) who is always observing us. Our acts speak louder than what our mouth speaks. The devil always wants to present God to us as if he deprived us of things that are profitable and of benefit. However, it is the opposite. Everything God brings to our lives is for our benefit. Everything that comes from the enemy is completely false. We must never pay attention to what he comes to say to us. We must trust our ally whom is God. Our enemy should never be close to us. We must always walk being vigilant. We must keep our eyes open or else it will be easy for the enemy to deceive us. The enemy comes against us with no consideration. He comes to betray. Eve was the woman that God had taken out from the man, and prepared her to be suitable. That is how every human being should be. Eva was in the middle of temptation, giving in completely to the flesh, to Satan, and we have been dragging this sin since then. This is the consequence of falling because although we repent we will drag the consequences for a lifetime. It was not the best place; it was the tree of science of the good and the evil. God had made all trees delicious to the sight. Eve wanted to acquire more wisdom than she was supposed to. God distributes to each one of us what is needed. We must live calmly in the God who has called us and qualified us according to what He wants for each one. Eve was far from her husband, but close to the forbidden tree. While she was alone Satan starts a conversation with her. We must never desire a moment of solitude to go after the temptation. If we maintain communion with the saints this will contribute to strengthen us a lot, but when we stop to congregate there is no strength. Curiosity made her take a look at the forbidden fruit. We must be careful because what we see is what wants to destroy us. Those who don’t want to eat from the forbidden fruit will not go near the tree. It was a chain reaction; she gave some of the fruit to her husband. There is nothing better for us than to stand firm on solid ground and to see things clearly. Sometimes when a person is about to fall into temptation, they start to doubt if it is a sin or not, then they start a defense and begin to question what God has already established as sin, they begin to question the voice of God. We should understand that what God has pointed out as a sin, is a sin. The voice of God is clear in the Scriptures. We are given the blessing and we take what doesn't belong to us. We claim rights that don’t belong to us! That is the problem with humans. Eve sustains a conversation that she shouldn’t have. There are conversations that come from Satan’s voice that only come to destroy. Those words go through our ears, enter our mind, and enter the heart, and the problem is that all that we keep in our hearts is conserved because there is where the life is. When we listen to Satan’s voice we pass it on to others and many are harmed by it. Satan accused God falsely, as usual, that God

was depriving them from all the benefits that would come to them if they ate from the tree. Eve yield to temptation when she had that conversation, instead of despising it. There are things that we must hate because they will bring a lot of damage to our lives. God’s voice should have been sacred to Eve. What was forbidden by God should have been sacred. God’s voice must be kept as something sacred and never be contaminated. We must keep God’s word as something sacred for us. It was forbidden to touch that fruit. The devil worked with astuteness, assuring Eve that she would not die if she ate of the fruit of the tree but rather she would become as God. It is not useful to us to know the good and bad. What privilege do we have in knowing evilness? When we live wrongfully we have to live with the consequences. The less evil we know the better our existence will be here. Evilness brings a lot of suffering. The devil abuses of the name given to the tree, perverting what it meant as if this tree was to provide some kind of knowledge, and the reason it was there was to teach obedience. The origin of knowledge was not in the tree because it is in God. Satan’s war is against God to keep us from obeying him and toss to a side all that is sacred. The day that we fall in temptation we will not see changes for the best but for the worst. It was like trying to compete with God. Sometimes we are defiant, we live constantly challenging God. It is up to us to live by the word and be careful. Eve was looking at the tree with other intentions, defying God. When God spoke to them she saw it as sacred, but when the devil spoke to her she saw it with eyes of temptation. When we fall into temptation we will never see things in the same way but in an impure way. It became disobedience. In her disobedience Eve saw that the tree was good to eat; she looked with pleasure at the forbidden fruit when she should have looked away from vanity, holding on to this. She thought that it was good to eat and pleasant to the eyes, but in this she was completely challenging God and she sinned against the sacred order that God had given them. She chose the vainglory of life. Satan can tempt us, but he cannot force us or push to do anything. Eve looked, took and she ate. When she saw the fruit she didn't plan to take it and she wasn't seeking to eat it, but that was the result of the temptation. The consequences of sin don't take us to Heaven but to Hell. Then the shame of sin arrives. The creation was gone because Eve destroyed it in only a few seconds. Today we still drag the shame that started in Eve. Sin moves us away from God. Eve never felt the same after this; her conscience screamed that she had sinned against God. They threw themselves to misery, they fell. They were exposed facing the scorn. The Heavens and the earth reprehended them. Their eyes were open for their shame and not for wisdom as she wanted. Then evil began on Earth until this day. As long as we are in God everything shines, but when we sin everything dries off. Now the voice of God made them afraid, the voice that sounded beautiful before now caused them pain. God turned into something terrible for them because there sin accused them. The devil told them they were going to be gods and now they were uncovered criminals. The sin that we consume will not make us happy but rather it will separate us from God. Let us seek to be faithful to God and let us enjoy our relationship with Him. Amen.
