TOPIC: “I will learn from Jesus to have compassion and to live in miracles” John 9:1-7 The condition in which a human being lives is what defines him be and live according to such condition. The condition of the blind man made him lives according to his blindness. As a blind man he had lived depending on the mercy of those who walked by him and pitied him. But Jesus walked by and that was the greatest thing. Jesus healed his sight. So the blind man was able to open his eyes and see Jesus, face to face. We are blessed because we have believed without seeing God. John 20:29 It was heard that there was a man called Jesus who had mercy of those that suffered, that He healed and had compassion. And in fact Jesus happened to be passing by, that was the right day and the blind man happened to be there begging for charity. But Jesus didn't give charities the way we are used to give charities. Jesus wasn’t going to give him charity, but rather He stopped to heal him, to perform a miracle. He knew what to give to this man who was born without sight. The most difficult thing for us is to obey. We are stubborn because we are told to do something and we go on to do the opposite. Jesus tested this blind man by sending him to wash himself in a pond and healed him, delivered him and at the end glorified the Father. Jesus has done so many things in our lives! All is found in Him for those who believe in him. Jesus arrived to this blind man’s life to make everything new in him. For all our needs we must go to Him. What happens is that our bad habits draw us away from God. When we are in need the best thing to do is to run to Him in search for help. Jesus came to perform the works of the Father, He always stopped and had compassion of others and that’s what we must do also. The disciples still hadn’t removed from their lives what hindered them in order to have mercies of others as Jesus did. We are disciples and we also have to remove whatever is hindering us in order to be like Jesus. As Jesus was compassionate for others we also must have compassion for others. The work of God will be manifested in those who need it. John 9:3 We can have many reasons for not doing, but these cannot stop us from helping others because we need to move and have a lot to do. Wherever we as individuals enter to do good to others the Father will be glorified and there will be a nation that adores him. If we are willing to help we will move miracles, the person will believe and will adore God for the rest of his or her life, but well disposed men and women are needed. We must look at what needs to be manifested. There is a need for God’s work to be manifested in the midst of us. Jesus spoke clearly to his disciples; He spit in the ground, made mud and anointed the eyes of the blind man. He took his time to stop. Even with only a word He could have done it, but He bowed down, and was very careful because this blind man was in need of help and not of someone without interest, but from Jesus who loved him entirely. Nowadays those who need to be loved are not loved. Jesus came to look for those who are afflicted, those who are humble. Luke 4:18 God was going to be glorified in this man’s blindness. That blind man was willing to be obedient, Jesus told him to wash himself in the pool of Siloam and this man did what he had to do, what he was sent to do because he needed a miracle. If He sends us we have to obey. Jesus sent him to a pond,

not that He was going to take him there, he went and because of his obedience he was healed. Jesus performed a miracle and we must depend on His power. This man needed a miracle and was going to do whatever it took, and when he received his sight he was thankful. He was delivered of all his conflicts, so he gave all the glory to God. Instead of seeking Jesus some only complain and regret. When Jesus arrives in our life He changes everything. Our circumstances and everything in us starts to change and we start to live in faith in which we have believed. The people that were there doubted and began to question. The greatest miracle had been performed in this man’s life. He didn't know Jesus well, but he knew that someone had healed him. When Jesus speaks people are transformed because this is a road of faith. It was that faith, the audacity and obedience of the one who now had a different aspect; it was one who believed in Christ, for this reason his way of speaking and his body had changed. There were no limitations inside of him, and then virtue flourished a believer's miracle. He was a man who let Jesus come into his life and he began to believe. The Pharisees were trying to find out what had happened and this man put an end to the conversation answering that the man named Jesus had healed him. Since when did anyone care for this blind man? Suddenly he was very important to everyone. Jesus healed him on a day of rest and this was the cause for which they judged Jesus. Jesus didn't come to waste time and on a Saturday there was a blind man who needed to be healed. Moses had taught well. God understands our life because He is a living God. The Pharisees became extremely curious about this man’s healing, but he answered very precisely to all their questions, he didn't go into much detail with them, but he was already feeling uncomfortable. The blind man wanted to see and Jesus performed the miracle. One Saturday was shattered. They were discussing that a sinner could not perform miracles, but everything is in Jesus. They did not believe this man, they called his parents who confirmed that he was blind since he was born and that he had already explained to them clearly. The sheep listens to the voice of his Shepherd. John 10:16 A disciple recognizes the voice of God. They did not recognize Moses' voice. Those who are sheep listen and if they had been sheep they would have recognized the Master’s voice. Moses was less than Jesus. This man already had a conviction deep inside of him. The lack of love separates us from God. When we recognize what God has done, when Jesus recalls if we have believed then it is because we have had that experience with the Lord. This man came back to Jesus after being expelled from the synagogue and he adored him because he understood that the miracle came from Jesus. The devil doesn't want us to adore God. We adore God because He is powerful and He has done many things in us. What the devil likes most of us is our silence. When we have recognized that Jesus performed the miracle then we adore Him with all our being. He is always doing wonders with us. Amen.
