TOPIC: “I will fight and I will resist for my own peace” James 3:18 James 4:1 There is nothing better than to live in peace. When we have everything in order we can wake up in peace. Therefore, knowing that we have to discipline ourselves we begin to put our lives in order and this will bring rest, and peace. It is time for us the believers to put our lives in order. As long as we don’t put order we will never be in peace but in tension and despair. You cannot be in peace when there is no order, because we have not sought wisdom and we have let idleness come over us. The Bible says in James that the reason, for which there is no peace in us, but war and dispute, is because of our own desires, the passions that struggle in our members, strong passions that only want to surpass others. The problem in these days in our daily lives and even in church is the struggle trying to surpass others, to see who is greater. Wanting to surpass others, to show who is greater is horrible, because it becomes an anxiety in us. And this whole anxiety removes the peace which Christ has given us. Mathew 6: 27 Wars and disputes come from inside when it has not been possible for us to be wise to live in peace. James 1: 5 There is nothing better for us than to be able to live, sleep, eat and speak in peace. What is meant for each one of us will arrive, but what is not for us will not arrive, then we must learn to live in peace. God created each one of us the way He wanted. Let us seek to be wise understanding God and understanding His plan and we will see what is proper for us and learn to respect what belongs to others. The day we decide to be devoted to love and to examine the Scriptures we will understand the essence of the Word and this will transform us from head to toe. It is the mind of God, it transforms us and no one is able to confuse us. This should stir us up. We must learn how to resist, exercising selfcontrol because we love peace. Those who can have peace are the ones who have had war and have conquered; we fight because we have to fight, the peace has been propitiated by God for those who follow Him. Everything having to do with pleasures, games, money, the desire to have what is not for us and to live pretending that we have it; all there are struggles, wars that occur because of man's intense passions. For this reason we must resist. We sometimes yearn what God doesn't want for us. He wants to teach us His will and His ways so that we will walk in it. To resist is a force that opposes another force, it is the opposition to an action. When a negative force comes against us we resist it and we stay firm. We must resist with more strength anything that comes to pull us out from our walk. But for this we must understand that we need to make an effort, go all the way in order to become a healthy nation for God. We must fight with the passions in our bodies. 1 Corinthians 9: 27 Those who love peace understand that it is necessary to fight this way, but those with active passions thinks that it is not this way. The best thing in life is to be in peace. Passions are always struggling inside of men to be satisfied. It is very complicated to live satisfied. For this reason we should know ourselves. We should rejoice with what Jehovah has given us. Hebrew 13:5 “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” The essence of the human being finds itself as time goes by. When we are not able to sleep in peace, it is because we are seeking something that disturbs us very much, such as accumulating corporal possessions. We must rejoice with what God has given us in our homes, let us not allow the flesh to possess us, let us live satisfied. The problem is that we always want more and more. We must never try to posses what does not belong to us. Let us have what God has given us and not try to overcome others because we won't be able to live

or eat in peace. God has given us love, forgiveness, abundant life, promises of eternal life and much more. Let us enjoy our new life in Christ and let us be wise, and sensible. We should die to so much excess of claiming our dignity and let us lay our humble dignity to Jesus' feet. For this reason many live annoyed with the whole world. They live stepping on others that seem to be in the way. But, let us understand that each one has their own glory, what God wanted. We must provoke peace in our lives, let us maintain the internal things healthy and let us have peace. With anger, jealousies, and cruelty we kill others, by the cruelty it can be seen what is really inside of a person that lives in disputes and in wars. All this turns into homicide. 1 John 3:15 We must be very careful of not coveting what we can never have. It is good when we are able to hug our brothers and sisters in Christ. Let us not desire what does not belong to us, or ask for what doesn't belong to us because for this reason we will not receive. Let us request wisdom for God will give it to us. Sometimes we are not able to administer things that must arrive when we mature, let us be men of peace and let us love. Let us not be selfish because this will destroy us. Friendship with the world is enmity with God. James 4: 4, 5 The Holy Spirit yearns for us, loves us zealously for this reason it take good care of us. God wants us to love him first. To be friend of the world is to live as others do. There is no need to force something that comes from God, it will arrive. Many things make us greedy. Let us live in peace and understand that envy and jealousy which provoke struggles do not come from the Holy Spirit. Let us resist all evilness that surrounds us and only comes to tempt us. We must have complete knowledge of the Scriptures. The nature of the church should be that of men and women who are saints. He gives a greater grace; it does not come from us. James 4:6 Let us resist and understand what God wants for us. God has a much to give to those who are humble. Those who resist arrogance will become humble. A true repentance is what distinguishes a man. When the Word has transformed our lives then we know how to act, we submit to God and we are able to resist the devil. (Vs 7) If we purify our hearts and we abandon the external and internal sin then a profound pain will come, and we will cry out our evilness. (Vs. 8) When we are afflicted and in lamentation it will be better for us because then later will come great joy. (Vs.9) As long as we live in the truth and we’re humble then He will honor and exalt us. Resists the forces that want to steal your peace, resist the devil and he will flee from you, be humble and God will exalt you. In Christ we can live in peace, live triumphant and enjoy the hope that He has given us. Amen.
