TOPIC: “For love my Jesus suffered affront, I will not run from it” Psalm 69:7, 8 The Bible tells us that our hearts are deceitful and very willing. And that from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. For this reason we must discipline our hearts for God. This is the way we build well our lives. We must build what is ours with the excess of work we have, even if we are sick. Sometimes we think that just because we have excess of work or because we are sick, these are reasons to neglect our hearts. When God chose us before the foundation of the world, He perfectly organized well how we must build and construct our lives. As we can read in Psalm, David knew well what the soul was. When our soul is not where it should be, great problems will start and we begin to run away from God. When water reaches the top it causes fatigue to our soul. It is very easy to become distracted in this life. We must be extremely careful in our walk with the Lord, the only path of truth, the best path. We must walk according to the Masters steps and He is our lawyer if we fall into sin. We must see, know and understand which the truth for our lives is. We must see clearly how the devil is constantly trying to drown us and make us perish trying to so that the truth will not be in us. If we distract ourselves we can lose the life of God that is in us and fall into the evilness of the wicked. ` When we reason and know the Master, we must understand that we are not greater than our Master and that we must suffer as He did. John 14:6 No one can come to the Father if it is not through Jesus. When we are in this path we know we are going to one place; to the Father and no one has seen Him and will not see Him in flesh. We come to the Father only through Jesus because He takes us directly to the Father. Jesus is who intercedes for us. That is the only way we can reach the Father, through Jesus. And we must understand this clearly. Jesus went through affront (insults) and suffered because He loved us. He has chosen a path for us, he has called us. Then we must value this. Sometimes we give more value to the things that surround us then we do to Jesus. We must value God more than anything else. Jesus went through many embarrassing incidents, humiliations, dishonor and offenses against him. He didn’t have to go through so much, but he did it because of his love for us. We must be careful in what we get distracted. Because of his love for us he went through so much and we are not capable of going through anything. Then what? We are not greater than our Master who

came as a man to this world when he is God. We must come to God through Jesus in order to understand which is the path we must walk. Sometimes we are confused by everything that surrounds us, but it is God who wants to guide our lives. Sometimes we begin to change; bad temper comes because of the problems and, instead of having Gods will in our mouth, we begin to reproach as if it was Gods fault. It was Jesus who went through pain, circumstances and death for us. Then we must understand God sovereignty and bow before Him. We chose in Him: the way the truth and the life. He is the one who will take us to the Father. He took all our sins so that we could reach the Father; he went through sufferings, so we also have to go through suffering because we are not greater than him. Suffering is not an excuse; it must not make us run away from God. We took this path and we must choose what He has given us. This is the path that leads us to God. Jesus suffered embarrassment, humiliations and offenses. We must be willing to go through embarrassment because Jesus suffered it for us and we are in His path. If we are disciples we must follow His same steps. Luke 14:27 1 John 2:6 God has given us too much and maybe as the church we are honored, but not always. Many times people will speak offenses against us. When we live in such altitude or greatness we refuse to be corrected, disciplined, because we think we don’t need from anyone and we forget that we chose this path were there is also affront (insults). Jesus face was covered with embarrassment and confusion for us. When confusion comes to our lives it is because a mixture of things have come to us and then we think, why do I have to suffer this? And it’s because we have chosen this path. There are moments when we become disturbed, or upset, but when our face is filled with total humiliation, we will then understand that was how Jesus humiliation was. Then, why be alarmed when we have to go through many things that cause us pain or humiliation? Beloved, when there is outrage against us we must not try to fix anything; if we have to suffer we must be willing to receive whatever comes. If we have to cry we must. Crying will not make us less or more. Don’t forget that just because there are tears it doesn’t mean that the delegated authority given to us by God will be taken away. God is who has called us. A great preacher named Spurgeon said: “There is nothing more hated, detested by a noble nature than shame, because the honor is a spark of the image of God.” Jesus suffered the maximum scorn, despise of his honor because of mans sin. We are what we are just because Jesus humbled his honor. That is how Jesus passed his days. There was a mixture of the pure

and the despicable of men. Jesus being pure, the despreciado from our lives was upon him. He suffered everything upon him because he loved us, then, why must we be confused in this path? In His purity, He went through crucifixion for our iniquities. Outrage, confusion, humiliation, and shame were upon him for our sake. The problem here is that this path is unknown to us. Jesus didn’t care about having to go through despise. He was a stranger to his brothers. John 7:5 He came to his people and they did not receive him. John 1:11 This was all planned even before eternity. Jesus planned it and his own did not want it. Jesus did not come to a powerful nation, but to Israel. Everything was well organized: millions and trillions of angels and archangels knew it. In that moment the throne beside the Father was empty because Jesus took the form of a little baby, born from a woman by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Jews gave him offenses, they confused his face, they betrayed him, and they denied him between oath and curses. Jesus suffered much more than we do. He was a stranger to his own brothers who did not believe in him. His face was filled with shame. He was despised by everyone because of his love for us. Then, why can’t we give him 15, 30 or an hour in prayer each day? He didn’t care that his brothers didn’t accept him, he cared about us. That’s how cruel his life was just to give us the right path. It’s our duty to walk without doubting him. We must walk as He did. We must understand how great and powerful this path is. The God we chose went through great suffering, and he didn’t look at our sins. Which Lord have we decided to serve? He suffered outrages, confusion, his face was covered and was a stranger to his own brothers, but he didn’t care because he loved you and me. For this reason, we will live for Him, we will love Him more each day and we will suffer for the sake of His name. Amen.
