Jehovah will fight against my enemies

From: January 10-16, 2006 Study: # 426 TOPIC: “Jehovah will fight against my enemies” Psalm 35:1-5

In order to do God’s will we should learn this Psalm. And to defeat our enemies that come to destroy those who want to do God’s will. We should not allow anything in our lives to interrupt God’s plan. We have to be careful because there are enemies that come with subtlety. We have a cause and that is Christ, crucified and resurrected. We should live by that cause and let everybody know. We have to battle day by day and no one should interrupt us. God chose us to do His will and we should strain ourselves to walk every day under a brilliant sun. God will make our day. Our enemies rise up to make us live in a complete fantasy, in a dream to interrupt our walk. Sometimes our enemies are our illnesses, but we should ask with faith, since the one who called us is almighty to heal us. Who does not suffer? Who doesn’t have problems, anguishes, worries, etc? All of us are subject to the same temptations, because we are still in this earthly condition. Only we decide what is going to happen in our lives. Sometimes we are far from our realities. We should walk under our realities. Sometimes we arrive to church under pure fantasies. There are days and years to live where we should learn and enter the process of what God wants. If we want God to use us, we have to live what each day brings. We share the Word with others, but we have to take the Word for us also, and see it clearly for the days we have to live. We should be worried that something could paralyze our legs. We must desire to love the cause of the cross. To confront the enemy we should fight and implore to God. We should not like the victim role, but be the men and women according to God’s purposes. We think and pretend often that things are going to fall to our feet easily. We must understand that we should fight, walk and give up our lives completely. David said: “Jehovah fights for me.” The only way that the Lord fights in our favor is if we serve Him. No war is at night, otherwise it will be treason. Jehovah will not fight for us at night, but during the day, under a burning sun. We need to see what the Lord asks most of us. We do not like to be punished by the sun. What do we want to see, what do we want to achieve? Do we want miracles? The Lord fights in the sun but not if we are asleep. David said: “God, help us.” If God comes out to fight for us it will surely be a secure victory. So many enemies rise to destroy God’s work! They do not rise from the outside, but they are within those who are in God’s work. But Jehovah rises up against those who seek to harm us. All sin that arrives to our church contaminates the service. Lies, deceitfulness, wickedness destroy the house of the Lord. In church we do not seek personal territories, but for the glory of God to descend from Heaven. There is a cause for which we serve Him; and an enemy that rises against us, which is not our flesh, because we have to die to our flesh. Only those who have decided to love God can ask God to fight for them. If God tells us: I am your salvation”, let us dig our feet deep so that no one can move us. Then Jehovah rises up against those who rise up against us. May the Angel of Jehovah pursue them. We do not have to do anything against our enemies, but the Angel of Jehovah will. We can not go against our enemies. Let us hide behind the Lord, and let Him work. We are His chosen ones. Jehovah goes out in our favor and sends His angel to fight for us. I repeat, we have a cause, our Lord crucified and resurrected, and then God rises. But God has to know that we have a cause, a reason, for which we fight. David knew this indeed and he had won God’s heart. If we conquer God’s heart, we will have a lot of good and He delivers us from all evil. Our enemy often wants to torment our souls, but when we see that the Lord makes justice in our favor, and we see our enemy defeated, it is because He cares about our lives. But sometimes we take for granted what His life means in us. If He is not great in our lives, we live our lives dreaming and tumbling. There is nothing better in our lives than to lie down and wake up in peace. Let the enemy be tormented instead of us, because we have joy from the Lord. Joy comes for those who believe and love. Let our bones feel the joy from Jehovah. It is to understand deeply who God really is. We can not accommodate God. If we want blessings, why shouldn’t we love to struggle more? Let us learn to eat the bread and the water. Our souls can not be filled with revenge. David did not stop to humble for other people’s pain. Jehovah is our cause, but for our enemies we are their cause. In the moments of illness in our lives, our enemies gather up, but Jehovah raises us from our beds. In occasions, we ask ourselves until when, but in the midst of our battles we should know and live the pain, the anguish, the tears, the desperation; but we should not allow rebelliousness in any way. Jehovah will rise on our behalf, and against our enemies. It does not matter who rises against us, if Jehovah is our salvation and He makes himself greater! He does not want us to become rebellious, because we then are acting according to the evil in us, and not

according to what He wants. We must know Jehovah, He sees our behavior and He sees what we want to hide in the day of the battle. Is there peace or rebelliousness in us? Our mouth will tell what He has done for us. Verse 27 We will talk about our justice. If we are in battle and in trouble, ask God to rise in our behalf, and battle for us, so no one could say that we are defeated, and no one rejoices, or bring any satisfaction to our enemies. Let our enemy be ashamed, be embarrassed and confused, but not us. We must be able to be a church that rejoices in the Lord and let us exalt Him because His cause is what we have. Let our tongue be the one to talk of His justice and His praise is in our lives. The enemy rises up to dry our praise and to stop us from talking about His justice. But, we will talk continuously. Jehovah is our strength and our help at all times. Amen.
