We Must be Right With God and With Men

THEME: We Must be Right With God and With Men Proverbs 3: 1 – 4 Sometimes we think selfishly and live as we didn’t care about anyone else; as we lived alone wanting to make this world ours where we only accept our own, children, parents, etc. Some believe they can live this way, in their limited space which they have created at their convenience and their own desire. He who tries to live this way will have adverse results in this life and nothing good in the next life. God expects us to live in communion with Him and with men, by pleasing Him and men. We can find the best example in Jesus who sought to please men and the Father. Jesus heart was righteous with the Father and with men. Sometimes we don’t want to understand that we owe ourselves to one another. In this life we have an obligation with each other. We need to be kind and loving and concerned with one another. If we don’t do what is right, mischief will come upon those who are close to us and may be lost for eternity without any help. We must feel a commitment with those who surround us and with our neighbor. We cannot go on living indifferent to the needs and pains of others. We can’t go on living as if we had no one to answer to. As Christians who have been born again by God’s mercy, we owe ourselves to the body which is the church, to a minister, a pastor who takes care of our soul. We owe ourselves to the family of faith. That is why we read: “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Galatians 6:10 The wicked who has no fear of God does good to his family. Then, how are we who love and know God live separated and far from our brothers? If we really love we will always seek to please and struggle so that our brothers in Christ may also be right with God. If I owe myself to God, I also owe myself to men in this world, because God owes Himself to all because of His love. The Lord our creator is committed to send men to this world and sustain Him each day. Glory to God for His love! Let us have the same love that our Father has. It is good to live in peace with all, with God and men. Romans 12:18, Hebrews 12:14. But many enjoy living in disputes. Don’t be one of them. We are here to bless this world and those who abide here and not to curse or despise those who are creatures of God just like us. Sometimes we thing incorrectly; “I please God and no one else.” But you know what? Everyone counts in this life. Love comes from God and it is precisely what we need for us and for those who surround us. Our life is not to show off how much there is of God in us, but to demonstrate it with our acts each day, everywhere we go and with everyone we run into. It is not by what we say, but by our sincere love that we testify that God lives in us. Our neighbors will see and feel our love in Christ and will realize he is in need of this love. They will see how we have surrendered to God and to them, and

feel our friendly hand shake, or, will feel our indifference or lack of love if we have let the love of Christ die in our life. We should not live like those who sin by not loving. Let us live as Jesus lived and taught us. John 13:1 We must be faithful to Our Master and to the gospel which has transformed our lives. Are you aware of how much spiritual need surrounds us? Maybe we are so blessed in this island of P.R. and too comfortable to do well to others. There is much good to do and at the same time we will delight ourselves for what God has done in our lives. If you please God, then you have to understand that you also owe yourself to mankind. We are people who have been pleasing God, and because of that we must be righteous persons for a world that is waiting for us. We must get out of our caves and closed doors and show the world our fruits of justice. Many experiences we go through are to show how transparent we really are. It happens that when we start facing difficult situations with others our hearts tend to get hardened. But Jesus took the law and made one: “to love God with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself…” Mark 12:33 He who loves does not harm others. Romans 13:10 Jesus perfected the law. Glory to God. Don’t let hardness steal your love. A person with a hard heart starts to speak like the wicked; his face is filled with bitterness. This is why we must be righteous, and we can’t act like the world who lives in bitterness and violence. We cannot be moved by this world. You know if you please God or not. We have to be righteous with others. God demands from us to comply with His commandments. God wants me to love with great strength. God loves us so much that He sent His Son. We should love as He loves us. 1 John 4:21 How strong is the passion that moves me to love God? His love for us is immense. Even before creation God already had my name and wrote everything I had to do in this world. We must love as He has loved us. Does God have good thoughts of you? Do you want men to have good thoughts of you also? If you achieve it, it’s because you have guarded His law in your heart and for that your days will be prolonged. God wants you to please Him and all mankind and start to sow and do good to others. Love and don’t let worthless things interrupt that love. Don’t listen to whatever wants to disturb you and live the fullness of love. AMEN.
