He is a lover of good men

"He is a lover of good men" – Psalm 146:8 The one who has goodness is the quality of the good, he is useful, pleasant, satisfaction, joy, taste and, therefore, he is useful. Someone good is one who shows a natural tendency to do good. Good is that which surpasses the ordinary. Good is what is good. The "good" person is useful and with a purpose for something, he lives for a reason in life to fulfill it with extreme love, passion, dedication and does not expect anything, for that reason he is good.

I. He gives sight.

A. Jehovah opens the eyes of the blind.

1. No case is too difficult for Him.

2. He is the lifter of the fallen.

3. He lifts up the fallen spirits of those who are "bent over" under the burdens of worry, affliction, anguish, and pain.

4. He is a lover of good men.

5. It is a characteristic of God and a cause for praise that He loves those who obey the law and those who do what is right!

6. (Job 36:6) He especially cares for and protects His good subjects.

7. Not only does He look at them, but He does not take His eyes off them.

8. Oh, my Jehovah, how can I doubt!

9. Though they may sometimes be belittled and forgotten by men, Heavenly Father's loving and compassionate eyes will never depart from you.

10. Sometimes He puts them in places of honor and power, like kings, He will put them on thrones forever.

11. The sheaves of others are to bow down to theirs, as in the case of Joseph and his brothers.

12. (Proverbs 11:10) "With the success of the righteous the city rejoices."

13. The favor that God bestows on them is not only a blessing for themselves, but also for the common good (that which influences for the good of all).

14. (8-10) If He ever afflicts us, it is for good.

15. When He binds us in chains, like Joseph in prison, or imprisons them in the cords of affliction (regret, sorrow, pain) confining them to the bed of pain or financial need, it is for the benefit of the soul.

16. God intends three things with affliction: (a) to reveal to us our past sins (v. 9) "it is to make known to them one's work"; (b) to prepare our hearts to listen to God's instruction; (c) to turn away from evil hereafter (next).

17. Sin is our doing.

18. "He also awakens their ears for their correction."

19. God instructs the corrector (Psalm 94:12) and affliction disposes men to learn and softens affliction as an instrument of God's grace.

20. Turning away from evil henceforth (the following).

21. (11) If affliction carries on its work for which it was sent, "God visits" them again with His consolations, according to the time in which He afflicted them. (11)

22. If we serve God faithfully, we have promise of outward prosperity in the present life, with its consequent (which comes after it) to the extent that is suitable for the glory of God and for our own good, what more can one desire?

23. We have possession of inward pleasures, the comfort of communion with God, and of a good conscience and the great peace enjoyed by those who love God's law.

24. If affliction does not do its work, you must expect the consuming fire to do its thing, if the refined fire did not, for when God judges, it will prevail.

25. (12) They will perish without wisdom.

26. For they make themselves enemies of the kingdom of God.

27. It will be the known sword; it is not the splendor of God for good.

28. The earth is full of sword, ruin because it is an enemy of God.

29. God chastens pride, they do not soften with affliction, they become more hardened, "and they cry not unto Him even when He chastens them."

30. God punishes pride.

31. (Psalm 34:15) The eyes of Jehovah are upon the righteous.

32. To guide and protect them, like parents who do not lose sight of their young children in order to preserve them from all evil and whose ears are attentive to their cry, to any cry of pain in the face of imminent danger or for having suffered an accident.

33. God keeps His own, so that no bones are broken.

34. (Psalm 37:25) That we will not lack the necessities of life.

35. Despite the many changes, difficulties, setbacks, ups and downs that one can go through as an old man, David declares his personal experience, the result of observation (not only as a man, but even more so as a king interested in the good of his subjects) of not having seen any pious person and, therefore, honest and hardworking, that it should be reduced to extreme necessity.

36. (Psalm 92:12) Many times, the last days of the saints are the best days and their work the best they have ever done.

37. When God gives true grace, He also gives increasing grace.

38. The trees of God grow larger and larger, such as the cedars of Lebanon, famous for their height and slenderness, always towards the sky and ready for good uses.

39. "Tell the righteous that it will be well with him" (Isaiah 3:10).

40. Each one will reap from what he sows.

41. If everyone were righteous, everyone would do well.

42. To those who do badly, nothing else happens but the payment for the bad work they have done. Amen
