The Holy Spirit is God

"The Holy Spirit is God" – 1 Peter 5:8 We all have the same enemy that is prowling around (circling around, swing, around a point) each of the Christian communities and around each of the members of the congregations to see "what is the weak side of each one and to attack by the most unguarded part (when the strength and everything necessary of the struggle is taken away) of the defense.

I. Our enemy is a slanderer and falsely accuses.

A. To be sober means to be serious in our thoughts.

1. Let's see life with reality, let's be intelligent, let's see the devil's deceptions against our lives.

2. He who does not pay attention to the nature or character of the world, who is ignorant of the purposes and attacks of our adversary, the devil, can allow himself to live lightly or frivolously (vain, inconstant, light).

3. There must be constant vigilance, a readiness to deal with every attack of the evil one.

4. Here the adversary is described as a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

5. (Ephesians 6:12-13) The battle is not a matter of fighting ungodly philosophies (knowledge, doctrines, understanding) cunning priests, sectarians (cults) who deny Christ.

6. The battle is against demonic forces, against battalions of "fallen angels," against spirits that have great power.

7. Even though we cannot see them, we are always surrounded by evil spirit beings.

8. While it is very true that they cannot "dwell" on a true believer, they can oppress and harass him (behavior meant to disturb or disturb).

9. As a believer I should not be morbidly immersed (absorbed, concentrated) about demonism; nor should I live in fear of demons.

10. In the armor of God, he has everything necessary to hold the ground against his attacks.

11. (13) We must take up the whole armor of God, that we may endure when the conflict is at its greatest and be found still standing when the smoke of battle has vanished.

12. (2 Thessalonians 3:3) (2) Let us be delivered from wicked and evil men: for faith does not belong to all: in which he of faith overcomes all evil that wants to destroy him, because by faith it is that he is overcome, it is to believe that God is Almighty to work for us and lead us not to fall.

13. "For faith (2) does not belong to all," and (3), "But the Lord is faithful."

14. This teaches us not to fix our gaze on "unfaithful" men, but to fix our gaze on our faithful and constant God.

15. No one can or should cause doubt because "He is faithful" to consolidate us (make us stronger, firmer) to the end (1 Corinthians 1:9).

16. He is faithful to deliver us from temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13).

17. He is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins and purifies us from all iniquity (1 John 1:9).

18. And here He is "faithful" to establish (affirm, secure) and keep us from evil, or the evil one, that is, Satan.

19. (James 4:7) In true repentance and there are thousands of people who do not have true repentance.

20. James has been crying out against the sins of the saints.

21. His words have pierced our hearts like darts of conviction.

22. They have fallen like lightning bolts from the throne of God.

23. We realize that God has been speaking to us.

24. Our hearts have been bent under the influence of His Word.

25. But now the question is: What will we do?

26. The first thing we must do is "submit", which is not the proper thing because of haughtiness (arrogance, pride, vanity).

27. This means that we must submit to Him, ready to listen to Him and obey Him, the difficult thing in you.

28. We must be tender and contrite, not proud and stiff-necked, the same when the devil is there.

29. We are also to "resist the devil".

30. We do this by closing our ears and hearts to their suggestions and temptations.

31. If we resist them; "He will flee from you."

32. (1 Corinthians 10:13) It teaches that what teachings, trials, and temptations we face is not that we run away.

33. However, "God is faithful," who will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can resist.

34. They were warned "not to" expose themselves to temptation.

35. (1 John 3:8) The devil has been practicing sin (a continual conduct) and characteristic (proper, quality) from the beginning, that is, from the first moment he sinned.

36. All his sons follow him on this broad path.

37. In contrast, Jesus' coming was to undo (nullify) the works of the devil.

38. The Lord could have destroyed the devil with a single word, but instead He came into this world to suffer, shed His blood, and die to nullify the works of the devil.

39. If it has cost the Savior so much to take away sin, what must be your attitude that you have trusted Him as Savior? You betray Him!

40. (Acts 5:3-4) When God is working with power, Satan is at hand to counterfeit, corrupt, and contend.

41. But where there is true spiritual power, deception and hypocrisy will quickly be exposed.

42. Ananias and Sapphira "sold their inheritance" and gave a portion of the price to the apostles.

43. Their sin was that they professed to give their all, when they only gave something.

44. No one had asked them to sell their property.

45. "Sold" now, they were not obliged to give it.

46. Ananias, Peter accuses him of lying to the Holy Spirit, not only to men.

47. By lying to the Holy Spirit, he lied to God for that very reason, because the Holy Spirit is God. Amen.
