Without Holiness No One Will See the Lord

"Without Holiness No One Will See the Lord" - Revelation 22:11 The present decisions fix the character; There comes a time when change will be impossible. 7. Practical or progressive sanctification is something that involves our obedience and cooperation (we must turn away from evil to sustain sanctification); This holiness must be cultivated continuously.

8. (1 Peter 1:15-16) We cannot imitate the ungodly world; our lives should reproduce the holy character "of Him who called us."

9. God is holy in all His ways.

11. The word sanctification is related to the word holy; Both words have to do with holiness.

12. To "sanctify" something is to set it aside for a special use; "sanctifying" a person is to make him, or her holy and only God does it.

13. (John 17:16-17) They are not of the world as I am not of the world," and this is before His request: Sanctify them in Your truth; Your word is truth."

14. Sanctification is a state of separation for God.

15. (1 Corinthians 1:30) You are in Christ Jesus, who became to us the wisdom of God and justification and sanctification and redemption.

16. The sanctification mentioned in this verse is a forever separation that believers make with God.

17. (Hebrews 10:10) It is a work that God accomplishes, an intrinsic part of our salvation and our connection with Christ. Amen.
