Let us seek Him

"Let us seek Him" - 1 Chronicles 28:7-9 Solomon had been chosen to succeed him (to enter in place of someone = is the continuation of someone), since David's "throne" had been firmly established by God, the people were to obey the Lord through Solomon, as they had done through David, a commandment, a promise, and a warning. The commandment is this: "And you, Solomon, my son, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind (self-account). The promise is, "If you seek Him, you will find Him." The warning: "But if you leave Him, He will cast you off forever."

I. The Lord had appointed Solomon to build the temple.

A. He must make a human effort and "do it."

1. Our human efforts (kind, compassionate, generous).

2. Jehovah was their God, so Jehovah's commandments were to be their standard: search the Scriptures, take counsel, seek the Law from the mouths of those charged with guarding this knowledge, and pray to God to teach and guide them.

3. (Deuteronomy 4:29) He who seeks God will find Him.

4. For this reason, they should be obedient to Him and then enjoy His continual blessing.

5. There are many consequences of apostasy since apostatizing (forsaking the command, denying, recanting) of their God would undoubtedly become ruin, and the nation will be ruined.

6. From wherever we find ourselves, we can seek Jehovah our God, no matter how far (away) we may be from our country and the place where we gather to worship Him.

7. (Psalm 105:4) Let us seek Him; let us put in Him "our happiness," "seek His power," that is, His grace, the strength of His Spirit to work in us what is good, acceptable, and perfect, (Romans 12:1), which we cannot do in our own strength, "but by the power derived from Him"; "let us seek His face while we are in this world," and we shall get it when we live in the next world" (Revelation 22:4) "and even then we will seek Him in progression infinitely and eternally satisfied."

8. (Isaiah 55:6) "Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near."

9. We are to exercise faith and seek supplicants from Him who can hear us and save us.

10. God is always close, "attentive" to every "call of faith" and "prayer": Have faith and take that faith in prayer to be heard and delivered from what seeks to destroy you; "Listen to this today."

11. He who prays to Him finds salvation.

12. It marks time; "now" is the acceptable time; let us seek Him, for "His patience waits for us," His Word invites us," and "His Spirit contend (fight, battle, wrestle) with us," "for our carnality."

13. (Hosea 10:12) To reap mercy it is necessary to sow righteousness (righteousness, morality), because it is time to seek Jehovah.

14. And let it rain justice for His people.

15. (fallow = the action (doing something) of barbing, plowing the soil without sowing it so that it can rest).

16. Make fallow for yourselves, you had to do religious discipline, if you do not break old habits, if you do not reform your heart and character thoroughly.

17. The fallow land actually has to give way to a new life.

18. (Luke 11:10) He teaches us that everyone who asks, "receives," everyone who seeks, "finds," and to everyone who knocks, "it will be opened."

19. This is a promise that when we pray, God always gives us what we ask for or "well, something better."

20. When it is a negative answer, it means that He knows that what we ask for would not be the best for us; then, "His refusal" is better "than our request."

21. (Acts 17:26, 27) Paul next discusses the origin of mankind.

22. All nations come from a common ancestor, Adam.

23. Not only were the nations formed by God, but "He ordained the years and has predetermined" (determined to point out or fix something in advance) the countries in which the different peoples would dwell.

24. He has poured out countless blessings upon them to "seek" Him.

25. He wanted them to "touch" Him, although in reality "He is not far from each one of us."

26. Don't feel like dying in what you live: He is not far from you, you have Him so close that when you breathe, He feels your breath, He is not far away.

27. In "that" the true "God" that we "live" and "move" and "are".

28. He is not only our Creator, but also our environment. Hallelujah!
