Love brings pain

"Love brings pain" – Romans 12:9-10 Love comes hand in hand with pain. We must understand what love is. When we talk about love, just think about whether we really love each other. It's the hardest thing on earth. The woman wants to be a mother and does not know how much pain is entangled in the feet of the one who is born. Well, it is so. Labor pain, the pain begins, it grows and there is no end to such pains, to form a living being. That's how it is in everything else in life.

I. Love must be without pretense.

A. Love is without "deceit, hypocrisy", fiction and without simulation.

1. Without deception, entangling someone or making fun of them, lack of truth in what is said, done or thought.

2. Without hypocrisy, pretense, falsehood, simulation, they contradict what they really feel or think.

3. Simulation, pretending what it is not.

4. We should not wear a mask, but be genuine, sincere and unaffected.

5. We must abhor evil: all unloving attitudes and actions, all malice = evil, harming someone with great intent.

6. "Bad" means all unloving attitudes and actions, all malice and hatred.

7. The "good" means every manifestation of supernatural "love".

8. Love one another with brotherly love: brotherhood, friendship.

9. We are in the family of faith, we should exhibit our love through affection full of tenderness (gentleness, caring, delicateness), and not through cold indifference or routine acceptance.

10. (1 Corinthians 13:13) The Christian has faith, hope, and love.

11. These are characteristics of the Christian.

12. And love is the greatest of graces because it is the most useful thing for others.

13. (Galatians 5:6) What God seeks in the believer is "faith working through love".

14. Faith is a complete dependence on God.

15. Faith is not "idle” but is manifested in a selfless service to God and to men.

16. The reason for all this service is love.

17. Thus, faith works (operate = work-labor: thing produced or made) through "love"; It is "motivated" (moved, movement) by love, not by law.

18. This is the reality of a pious life (piety, devout = devotion to God and religion, love).

19. (Ephesians 3:17-19) Christ dwells by faith in our hearts, the end is rooted and grounded in "love".

20. The foundation of a building is the ground on which it rests.

21. "Love" is the ground in which our life must have its roots; and it is the rock on which our faith must always rest.

22. To be rooted (to take root) and grounded (alludes to the sector of a building that lies beneath the surface) in love, is to be established (created) in love as a way of living.

23. The life of love is a life of goodness, detachment, brokenness, and meekness.

24. The apostle's request is that the saints may "know" by experience "the love of Christ," which surpasses (passes, exceeds) all knowledge.

25. The love of Christ is an ocean without shores.

26. (Ephesians 5:2) Walk in love as Christ loved us.

27. Another way we should be like the Lord is by walking "in love".

28. "To walk" in love means to give ourselves to others.

29. This is what Jesus, our perfect Example, did.

30. Amazing! He loved us.

31. The proof of His love is that He gave Himself for us "in death on a cross".

32. (Colossians 3:14) Clothed in love, which is the perfect bond (union, relationship, or bondage, united, bound, chained).

33. "Love" is here presented as the outer garment, which binds all the other virtues (positive quality, doing good) to make perfection.

34. Paul emphasizes that whatever we do, we should do it in a genuine spirit of "love" toward our brethren.

35. Paul says here; "Love is the bond (union) of perfection."

36. (1 John 4:16) The special object of God's love is the companionship of those who have been "born into the family".

37. If I am to commune with God, then I am to love those whom He loves. Amen
