He is Coming to Judge the Earth

"He is Coming to Judge the Earth" - Psalm 96:1-13 When the ark was placed in the middle of the tabernacle that David had prepared for it, they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.

I. When the mother teaches her children how to pronounce a hymn.

A. Before the child understands its full scope and meaning.

1. How many of your children already know the lyrics to hymns?

2. When we came to the Lord, we didn't know what the song to God was.

3. As the years go by, the songs in worship are our offering of praise and we make them sacred songs.

4. (v. 1) "Sing to Jehovah a new song."

5. New joys are filling the hearts of men, for "the glad tidings of blessing" have been proclaimed to all the people.

6. Brothers and sisters, therefore, let us sing a new song, let us set our hearts to sing, one day you will see the scope and its full meaning.

7. (Luke 2:13-14) The angels inaugurated the new dispensation with the coming of the Son of God.

8. David never got tired of writing Psalms, song.

9. He dedicated his life to God; For this reason, the best way to worship Him is with a song in the mouth, and so David lived it just like the angels.

10. The songs of David, no one can improve them.

11. No one can say that worship has improved and that we are in a better dispensation (commission, assignment, service, administration) than David's.

12. We should do the same as David, in song worship. Matthew 26:30 (38) My soul is very sorrowful, even unto death.

13. "The song is for Jehovah alone."

14. All music is dedicated to the one God.

15. (C.H.S.) The days of mourning are over, and the time for songs has come for hearts.

16. "Sing to the Lord, all the earth."

17. "May the whole earth be able to raise a common Psalm, with one heart and voice to Jehovah, who has visited it with His salvation." Hallelujah!

18. No corner of the earth should be discordant (disagrees), no human race mute.

19. Jehovah made the whole earth, and the whole earth must sing to Him.

20. As the sun shines in all countries, so all countries are to delight in the light of the Sun of righteousness.

21. Out of many there must come a single song.

22. (Revelation 14:3; Isaiah 42:10; Psalm 96:1; Psalm 90:3) Praise for Jehovah's mighty deliverance.

23. The manifold languages of the sons of Adam, who were scattered at Babel, will unite in the same song when the peoples gather in Zion.

24. Not only men, but the earth itself is to praise its Maker.

25. (2) Sing to the Lord, bless His name.

26. The name of the Lord is repeated three times; and not without meaning.

27. The sacred fire of worship only burns with a vehement (passionate) flame when the Trinity is believed and loved.

28. Proclaim His salvation from day to day.

29. Each day brings us deeper experiences of our God who saves us; Every day shows us anew how deeply men need their salvation; each day reveals the power of the gospel; "every day the Spirit strives with the children of men"; It behooves, therefore, for us to proclaim unceasingly the glorious message of free grace.

30. Let those who know for themselves what salvation means do it; they (you), and not others, can testify that there is salvation and that in Him full salvation can be found.

31. Let them show it until the echo resounds through the spacious earth and all the heavenly armies unite themselves to the magnificent God who has displayed His saving health among the people. C.H.S.

32. (3) "Proclaim His glory among the nations."

33. This glory shines in every ray of light that comes to us from thousands of stars; it shines (sparkles) on the peaks that reflect the first rays of the rising sun and retain the last when it sets; it spreads over the expanse of the sea and speaks with the murmur of its restless waves; It surrounds the earth with a zone (surface) of light and spreads over it a halo of beauty.

34. We cannot increase it; We can't add a single ray of light to the distant star or give wings to an apterous insect (it lacks wings) or change white hair to black.

35. We can hold (have on or over) but not create, we can worship but not increase (greater in quantity, increase), we can recognize the traces of the Godhead, but not add to them.

36. What a wonderful person Christ is, because He is God manifest in the flesh!

37. What wonderful love He has shown in His incarnation, obedience, suffering, and death; what amazing miracles He has wrought and what marvelous work He has performed! The work of our redemption, the wonder of men and angels!

38. He proclaims His wondrous resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, where He is now seated at the right hand of God and intercedes for His people, the marvelous outpouring of His Spirit and the conquests of His grace and the aggrandizement of His kingdom in the world.

39. (4) For the LORD is great and worthy of supreme praise.

40. Praise is proportionate to its object; therefore, let it be infinite when it yields to the Lord.

41. Fearsome above all gods.

42. Holy fear is the principle of giving Him supreme praise.

43. (6) Honor and majesty before Him.

44. Honor and majesty are His and His alone.

45. (7) Render glory and power to Jehovah, that is, acknowledge the glory and power of Jehovah and attribute it to Him in your solemn hymns.

46. (8) Give Jehovah the honor due to His name.

47. Worship Jehovah in the beauty of holiness.

48. (13) He comes to judge the earth.

49. The whole world will be under the jurisdiction (authority, power to judge and enforce the laws) of this great Judge, and before His tribunal all will have to stand.

50. Right now, He is on His way and the hour of His arrival is approaching.

51. The big meeting is called.

52. Don't you hear the trumpets already?
