"What Shall You Do to Your Great Name?" - Joshua 7:6-21 When we feel displeasing to God, because there are signs, we must learn not to complain "about" God, but to complain "to" God. Then you will have an answer from God. Joshua prays and God says to Joshua: Why do you prostrate yourself on your face like this? Israel has sinned and the covenants commanded to them have been broken. They have stolen, they have lied, and evil is in their homes. (Joshua 7:6-18).

I. As a result of Achan's sin, the entire camp of Israel had to endure the wrath of God.

A. They don't realize the offense, God saw it.

1. God sees and takes all necessary steps for all of them to see it as well.

2. The city that was going to be taken was a piece of cake.

3. With little they were to conquer it.

4. Israel was to sanctify itself because it had become defiled.

5. (Joshua 7:5) The hearts of the people fainted and became like water.

6. To every sensible man among them, it was an indication that God was displeased with them.

7. This caused great concern to Joshua, sad event.

8. He tore his garments: such a public disaster and "especially for fear of God's displeasure, which was certainly the cause.

9. Upon the mighty hand of God, Joshua humbled himself.

10. They are tortured by the thought of displeasure to God.

34. He calls him son. (Joshua 7:19).
