"Your Spiritual Life" - Isaiah 1:16 If you don't choose to be spiritual, there is no life with God. You only live for yourself, and nothing else. The prayers and worship that is done for God is thought that anyone can do, but if the heart is not cleansed, everything is contaminated with what is in the heart. If you pray, if you worship, it is useless if you do not have a clean heart. Everything you do doesn't benefit you either. Even if prayers multiply, God will not hear them. The reason is because they do not come from a righteous heart. You worship for yourself, not for God. You can stand before God not to honor His temple but to step on and mistreat worship.

I. A great call to repentance and reform.

A. It is in order to modify, improve and innovate life.

1. It is a gradual transformation of a system (united, organization, institution).

2. If we want to be accepted by God: Cleanse your heart!

3. The heart cleanses everything else, it will be clean.

4. We must stop doing the wrong thing!

5. This is the way to wash and clean yourself.

6. The roots of sin must be attacked.

7. (Jeremiah 4:14) Wash your heart from wickedness, to be saved.

8. Jerusalem (Mega Zoé), each of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for each has his own heart, and it is personal reform that causes national reform.

9. There can be no deliverance without reform, and only the reformation that reaches the heart is sincere, for from the heart, to change a thing by varying its disposition or some characteristic without altering its essential qualities or characteristics, come the sinister thoughts that dwelt (Jeremiah 4:14 b) within them. (Matthew 15:19).

10. (Acts 22:14-16) Paul recounts his conversion.

11. What Ananias had said to Paul: Know the will, and more the righteous, and "hear the voice of His mouth."

12. What are you waiting for? Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins by calling on His name.

13. It is to believe, and to be baptized so that old Paul would die, and now be Brother Paul.

14. The ordinance of baptism should not be delayed longer than necessary, so that the pastor may be assured of the genuine conversion of the person.

15. That is the benefit of the baptized who receive being baptized.

16. The mention of the forgiveness of sins in connection with baptism does not mean that water baptism is the necessary means for such forgiveness, but the outward sign of the inner faith by which the person is justified.

17. (2 Corinthians 7:1) (6:16-18) Perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

18. Not only are we told to cast aside that which pollutes, but we must go "more and more" conforming to the "Lord Jesus Christ in our daily lives."

19. Not just in church.

20. Brethren, becoming perfectly holy on this earth is not what this verse suggests.

21. Practical sanctification is a process that continues throughout our lives.

22. We grow in likeness to the Lord Jesus Christ until that day when we will see Him face to face and then "we shall be" like "Him for all eternity."

23. It is by having a reverent fear or "wonder" before God that we have a desire in our hearts to become holy.

24. McCheyne: "Lord, make me as holy as possible for someone on this side of heaven".

25. (2 Timothy 2:17 and 21) Timothy is commanded to separate himself from evil men, and especially from evil teachers such as those just mentioned: Hymenaeus and Philetus.

26. It was rather to separate oneself from the wicked and to avoid contamination of bad doctrines.

27. God can only employ clean vessels in holy service.

28. Such a man will also be "sanctified" in the sense that he will be separated from evil for the service of God.

29. It will be useful for the Owner.

30. This very desired quality on the part of all who love the Lord.

31. Finally, he will be "ready for every good work."

32. "It will be ready at all times to be employed in everything that his "Owner" can dispose.

33. (James 4:8) Next, we must draw near to God.

34. We must do it by prayer.

35. (Matthew 15:22) The Canaanite Woman: Send Her Away (v. 23)

36. Jesus says, I am not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

37. Jesus was not in that " moment" for her, so that prayer was importunate (annoying), believing (believing), telling her everything we have in our hearts.

38. As we draw closer to Him in this way, we will see that He will "draw near" to us.

39. When we "draw near to Him," He forgives us and restores us of our carnality.

40. Sinners, clean your hands; and you in double mind, purify your hearts.

41. The "hands" speak of our actions and the "hearts" represent our "motives" and "desires."

42. We cleanse our hands and purify our "hearts" through confession and abandonment of our sins, both external and internal.

43. As sinners, we need to confess "evil deeds"; "as double-minded people," we have to confess our mixed motives.

44. (1 John 3:3) Everyone who has this hope of seeing Christ and being like Him purifies himself, and "as He is pure."

45. For many (years) Christians have found that the hope of Christ's eminent return has a sanctifying influence on the life of the believer.

46. The believer doesn't want to do anything he doesn't want to be doing when Christ returns.

47. "Complete prayer" purifies itself, just as He is pure.

48. The Lord Jesus never had to purify Himself; "He is pure."

49. For us, this is a gradual process; for Him, it's a fact. Amen.
