Jesus rebukes in me all that is necessary

"Jesus rebukes in me all that is necessary" - Luke 9:51-56 It is very typical of our lives to watch over others to rebuke them. Look, one thinks of all people, but Jesus so simple to know what to say and get to the point of what is seen in His essence of love, surrender, pain, and goodness. From there it starts so that living in patience for the person who comes to Him (because God is the one who watches over people), He is the one who knows the secrets of people and how willing the person is to change, how long it takes him, and that belongs to God, not the man of the earth.

I. James and John

A. Chosen disciples of Jesus.

1. God had chosen them in eternity.

2. Choosing does not mean that you arrive on earth equipped with perfection: "the action of leaving something finished (it has everything and does not need anything)" this will be the last day of life and the last second.

3. As a pastor I have to know: Jesus died, rose again, and the Holy Spirit came upon lives to do the work in man, for man is complicated and difficult.

4. We must equip our lives to fight and win until the last minute of life.

5. The "time" of Jesus' ascension (above being received) into heaven was approaching.

6. He knew it well. (Luke 9:51; John 13:1)

7. He also knew "that the cross was before," so He set out decisively on the road to Jerusalem and what awaited Him there.

8. A Samaritan village along the way proved inhospitable to the Son of God, the Creator.

9. The people there knew that He was going to Jerusalem, He was Jewish, not Samaritan and this was reason enough to exclude Him, as far as they were concerned.

10. After all, there was intense hatred between the Samaritans and the Jews.

11. Their sectarian spirit (sect) and fanatics, their segregationist attitude (set aside, separate), their racial pride indisposed them to "receive" the Lord of Glory.

12. James and John became so angry at this lack of courtesy that they "offered to send fire from heaven" to destroy the offenders.

13. Jesus on the spot rebuked them.

14. He had not "come to destroy the souls of men, but to save them."

15. This was the acceptable year of the Lord and not the day of vengeance of our God.

16. They should have been characterized by grace not by a vengeful spirit.

17. This was "not the first" time that the Lord Jesus had suffered the affront of many, and yet He had never invoked God's chastisement upon anyone but had received the injury with all patience.

18. He was imagining the gospel age, to which the vengeful boast of divine justice did not fit.

19. Jesus rebukes: Why do you sleep? Luke 22:39-46

20. At the end of the Lord's Supper, Jesus and the disciples left the upper room and went to the garden.

21. When He arrives, He warns them: Pray that you do not enter into temptation.

22. They lost to see Him even from afar in that beautiful agony in favor of our lives and theirs.

23. Gethsemane was an anticipation of Calvary.

24. There, "the very thought of contact with our sins" was the cause of the Lord Jesus' acute suffering.

25. "His perfect humanity is seen in the 'agony' that accompanied His prayer.

26. When Jesus returned "to His disciples," they were sleeping, but not because of indifference, but out of exhaustion because of sorrow.

27. Now the hour of temptation has come.

28. The pressures (haste, urgency) to get up and pray, because the hour of the crisis was approaching, and they would be tempted to deny Him in front of the authorities.

29. They were not strengthened for temptation and for that reason, "they were already weak."

30. Fight your own life, so that you can overcome to the end: accept the rebuke, absolutely yours.
