"The Meek Is Humble" James 1:9-11 In the Bible, being meek does not mean being weak. The meek has a great "inner strength" that "allows him to put his will and reactions under God's control with complete confidence." He does not get carried away by his emotions or react uncontrollably to a situation. Rather, he lives under "the dominion of the Holy Spirit" allowing Him to show him what he must speak or do in the face of a specific event or person.

I. Humble, modest, distrustful of himself and who has placed all his trust in the all-sufficiency of God.

A. This brother must boast in his exaltation: however small he may seem in the eyes of others and even in his own, his position is high in the eyes of God, for he is rich in spiritual riches.

1. It is a moral person (norms, values, correct, good), "consequences of trials" and "of possession (possessing) of wisdom."

2. (James 1:10) The rich, in which he is spiritually humiliated.

3. So "grace equals both before God" and with respect to divine approval they are on the same level: the poor who are too low are exalted; the rich man who is too high is humiliated; which is for both reasons for glory or joy.

4. The rich can rejoice in having been humiliated.

5. (James 1:11) When the wind blows in the strong, overbearing sun: The grass dries up, its flower falls off.

6. Neither the sun nor the scorching wind can affect "spiritual values."

7. Thus, the same grace that exalts the humble humiliates the rich.

8. Both of these things are cause for rejoicing.

9. It is not, therefore, a question of the conduct of the rich believer, which is supposed to be correct, but of his business, that is, of his commercial affairs, of his financial speculations.

10. This is what, of the rich, withers; then the rich man comes to boast in his humiliation, for the loss of material riches makes him reflect on the inestimable value of "spiritual riches."

11. The meek is humble.

12. (Luke 22:26) Dispute over which of them would be the greatest.

13. The kings of the nations take over (dominate, become lord and master) them (lives).

14. The one who leads, as the one who serves.

15. It is a terrible denunciation against the human heart that immediately after the Lord's Supper the disciples argued "among themselves" about who among them was the greatest!

16. In the esteem of men, it is greater to be invited to a meal than to serve it.

17. But the Lord Jesus came as a servant of men and all who wanted to follow Him should imitate Him in this.

18. (Romans 12:3) Paul will deal "by the grace that had been given to him as an apostle of the Lord Jesus.

19. First, he says that there is nothing in the Gospel that can encourage anyone to have a complex (when believed to possess a certain talent) of superiority.

20. This is most of the human being.

21. We are urged (hurry) to be humble in the exercise of our gifts.

22. We should never have exaggerated ideas of our own importance.

23. Nor should we be envious of others.

24. Rather, we should realize that each person is unique and that we all have an important role to play for "our Lord."

25. Everyone wants the same place of preference; for this reason, few can occupy it for the Lord.

26. We should feel happy in the place that "God distributed each one in the body and we should try to exercise our gifts with all the energy that God supplies.

27. James (4:10) "Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will exalt you.

28. We should "humble" ourselves if we are meek before the Lord.

29. If we honestly take our place in the dust at His feet, He will exalt us "in due time."

30. When it has been learned.

31. So, it is how we should respond when the Lord exposes us to ourselves. But too often this is not the case. Sometimes, for example, we are in a meeting and God speaks loudly to our hearts. We are moved for the moment and full of good resolutions. But when the meeting is over, people engage in lively and trivial conversation. The whole atmosphere of service is dispersed, "the power dissipates," and the Spirit of God is extinguished.

32. (1 Peter 5:5) Young people, learn from the one who leads life with God, which takes years and years.

33. The one who has years of experience in God and shows his love, dedication and has put on the apron of humility.

34. In years, many are looking for vainglory, nothing to give of humility.
