"He gave Himself up for her" - Revelation 19:6-10 (Isaiah 54:4-5) Of the affront of your widowhood you will have no more memory. For your husband is your Maker; Jehovah of hosts is His name; and your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. It is the way to express the relationship that exists between God and His people since the Old Testament. When man turns to Him: (Hosea 2:18, 19) And I will remove from the earth bow and sword and war and make you sleep safely. And I will marry you to me forever; I will marry you to me in justice, judgment, kindness, and mercy. (Mark 2:19) This same symbolism is also found in the New Testament. Jesus speaking "of Himself," identified Himself as the husband of believers. By saying: Can those who are at weddings fast while the husband is with them? As long as they have their husband with them, they cannot fast. (Ephesians 5:25, 32) Husbands, love your wives, just as "Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her." Great is this mystery; but I say this about Christ and the church.

I. Time and place where the wedding party will take place.

A. Hallelujah, because the Lord our Almighty God reigns!

1. We already have the establishment of God's eternal kingdom.

2. We know that from the moment of the rapture the church will remain for seven years in the air (heaven), which could be compared to the time of the betrothal between Christ and His beloved.

3. The earth is going through the great defeat of Babylon, and we will be wedding in an exclusivity, even if there is the most violent battle of life.

4. That will be an atmosphere of communion and joy in the place that "Jesus has prepared for His own."

5. The precise moment of the completion and consummation of this mystical union between Jesus and His church is not accurately indicated.

6. The place and atmosphere of the wedding of the Lamb.

7. (Revelation 19:6) There is a Hallelujah! For the joy of heaven of those who have loved Jesus more than themselves; How much do you give to Jesus and how much do you love yourself?

8. It is a heavenly place to which the church had been taken since its rapture.

9. What an atmosphere of unparalleled joy and happiness!

10. (Revelation 19:7) The din sounds exclamation: "let us rejoice and be glad" denotes a deep joy, which is undoubtedly based on the assurance of the fulfillment of God's promises to His people.

11. This enables us, then, to say that the atmosphere of joy and unparalleled happiness of the marriage of the Lamb will have as its reason and justification the joy of believers to receive directly from the hands of their blessed Savior the reward that He brings for each one.

12. The (Revelation 19:7) evidence that His wife has prepared came from the great heavenly multitude, guaranteeing the success of this eternal union between the church and her Savior.

13. The attire and the preparation of the church for her wedding.

a. Fine linen; Clean and resplendent is a symbol of purity (spiritual preparation).

b. They are the righteous actions of the saints.

c. The wife will be clothed in clothing similar to that of the seven angels (Revelation 15:6) and that of the heavenly armies that accompany the Lord Jesus Christ at His second coming (19:14).

d. The priests were dressed in linen and the high priests in finely twisted linen.

e. The white color of linen is a symbol of the purity and holiness of the priest.

f. Church members have been redeemed and their clothes have been whitened with the blood of the Lamb of God.

14. Fine linen is a symbol of the righteous actions of the saints.

a. The whiteness of fine linen does not symbolize the holiness of the believer only in the sense of not doing evil but is also a characteristic of those who "do the will of God in their lives."

b. To a life obedient to the Word of God, "subject to the direction of the Holy Spirit."

c. Right conduct of the holy people.

d. Our actions are what demonstrate the inner work that God has done in our lives.

e. You are saved for good works.

f. Good works are your job, not what you aspire to be great, to be applauded.

15. Blessed (Revelation 19:9) are those who are called to the marriage of the Lamb.

16. The church, summoned to supper.

17. Have I really valued what Christ suffered for me?

18. Stop at those actions that prove otherwise, in relation to valuing what Jesus did for you.

19. All that Jesus suffered, all with a purpose that one day we will be together with Him.

20. When we are converted, the Holy Spirit makes commitment; it is the seal that you enter the marriage of the Lamb.
