Protective Providence (Psalm 115:12) Providence: Care, the measure taken to achieve a particular end or to prevent or remedy harm or danger. In our lives is the sovereign and universal government of God. Through Divine Providence it is that God carries out "His will and to ensure the fulfillment of His purposes, He governs the affairs of men.

I. Providence, God

A. Jehovah remembered us; He will bless us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.

1. His nature is to bless.

2. His prerogative (privilege, grace, or extension granted to someone to enjoy it, permission, benefit) is to bless.

3. His glory is to bless.

4. Hallelujah! His delight is to bless.

5. He has promised to bless; and therefore, we can be sure of this, that He will bless and bless and bless without ceasing. Amén.

B. Matthew 6:32 Do not spend our lives in a strenuous pursuit of material pride for the future.

1. Such is the wicked in his eagerness for material things.

2. Material things are the whole of those who do not know the Lord. Hallelujah! Demonstration of joy, news that cheers.

3. The Christian should not be like this, because he has a heavenly Father who knows what his basic needs are.

4. If believers set themselves the goal of providing in advance for all their future needs, then they would have to devote their "time" and "energies to the accumulation of financial reserves.

5. As much as they save, they could never be sure that they have saved enough because there is always the danger of everything that life brings.

6. And so, here's what one does: This means that God would be "deprived of the service of His people."

7. Jehovah = Jireh.

8. The true purpose for which they were created and converted would be defeated.

9. Both men and women, bearers of the divine image would live on this earth waiting for an uncertain future, when they should be "living with the values of eternity in sight.

10. Our values define the thoughts and the way we want to live and let everyone around us know.

C. Luke 12:7 - Even the hairs on our heads are counted.

1. None of us should "fear" because we can say: God takes care of me!

2. God's Providence takes note of the most insignificant creatures.

a. Motivate, clarify in one way or another "because they are part of your belief system and determine your beliefs and express your interests and feelings."

3. God does not forget birds, how is God going to forget His faithful children?

4. How is He going to neglect an already sanctified person?

5. Jesus: Well, even the hair on our heads is all numbered.

6. A splendid hair has each of her hairs counted and numbered by God, even though they themselves cannot count them.

7. If God counts the hair in this way, how much more will He count our tears, the "drops of sweat in His service and the drops of blood shed for Christ's sake and for the cause of the Gospel!

D. 1 Peter 5:7 As a believer we have the privilege of casting "all" our anxieties on the Lord.

1. With the intense confidence that "He is careful."

2. (Psalm 55:22) Cast your burden upon Jehovah and He will sustain you; It will not leave the righteous forever down.

3. There is the eagerness of anxiety in the words: Throwing all our eagerness on Him. And there is the eagerness (intense desire that moves to do a thing, commitment, interest that is put in a thing) of affection (feeling in which one person has sympathy for another, in the words: (we throw anxiety to Him) "He strives for us. Facing our eagerness full of anxiety (intense worries and fears, excessive and persistent about daily situations) we have the eagerness (intense desire that moves to do a thing, commitment, interest that is put in an affectionate and always "present of our Lord."

4. Anxiety is unnecessary; we have no need to carry the burdens when He is willing to carry them for us.

5. It is useless to be distressed, anguish has "never" solved any problem.

6. Anxiety is a sin.

7. One preacher said: "Anxiety (it is anxiety disorder (disorder = change or mental alteration in which you have a marked and unhealthy pattern of thought, performance and behavior) is sin because it denies the wisdom of God; it says: He doesn't know what He's doing.

8. It denies God's love; It says: He doesn't take care of you.

9. It denies the power of God; it says: He is not able to "save me of everything that is causing me anxiety."
