Let's Make A New World On the Altar

"Let's Make A New World On the Altar" (Genesis 8:15-22) The best thing for our lives is to depend on God, even to breathe. We know that we are not absolute (that it exists by itself, that it is complete, independent, unlimited, excludes all comparison, is not subject to anything else, total), although the percentage of human beings think so. The one who was able to save the earth was a man named Noah. So common in his nature as a man.

I. Then God spoke to Noah.

A. Come out of the Ark

1. He is required to come out, Noah did not move until God commanded him.

2. If we are truly able to carry God's direction and are of His government, then you walk under His protection.

3. God was with Noah, in every move.

4. God brought him out safe and sound. Having permission, Noah comes out of the ark.

5. Noah was preserved in the ark, not only for a new life, but also for a new world.

6. Noah and his family came out.

7. Noah took out all the creatures taken there.

8. Everyone was as they entered, very well taken care of.

9. (V. 20) Noah, thankful of God, was chosen by God to protect his life and family, for a new generation and to take care of every animal for the earth and for the future generation.

10. He built an altar.

11. God is pleased with voluntary offerings and praises addressed to His name.

12. Noah had now arrived in a cold and desolate world, where one might think that his first care would be to build a house for him; but it is not so; it begins by building an altar to God; "God who is the first, must be served first and a good beginning for those who begin with God."

13. God is not selfish, "the human being is selfish, so you do not start with yourself first, may God be the first for your life, so you can do well in your whole life.

14. He offered a sacrifice on the altar, of every clean animal and every clean bird.

15. He offered only what was clean.

16. The assortment of cattle was so dwindling (weak) and landed from ruin at the cost of so much "care" or work, "He spare no shortage of giving to God" what was due.

17. Serving God with our little is the way to do it a lot and we should never think that what God is honored with is wasted.

18. "The first thing we find done in the new world is an act of worship."

19. (V. 21) God was pleased with the sacrifice.

20. "He perceived from him a pleasant smell", the smell of satisfaction, of acceptance.

21. "He was satisfied with Noah's pious zeal and these hopeful beginnings of the new world."

22. Let us be able to be pious (devotion to the holy, compassion, mercy), and let us begin every action of our lives by making sacrifices of praise, prayer, reading the Bible, gathering for the same God of Noah.

23. Having rested His wrath on a world of sinners, He now rested His love on a small remnant of believers.

24. God said That I will no longer curse the earth for man's sake.

25. Of not flooding the world again.

26. Nor will I ever again destroy every living being.

27. The course of nature will not be altered anymore: As long as the earth remains and man on it, there will be summer and winter, day and night, not always night, as it would be when the rain was constantly falling.

28. It is clear from God's Word that this world is not to remain forever, but, as long as it remains, God's providence will carefully preserve the regular succession (follow, continue) of times and seasons (time, opportunity, a period), making each one knows and take his place.

29. To this we owe (this promise given to Noah) that the world remains, and that the wheel of nature does not lose its track.

30. Thus, we see how times change and, at the same time, how they do not change; since, on the one hand, the course of nature is changing: day and night, summer, and winter.

31. The seasons have never ceased and will never cease, as long as the sun continues to measure time with such fixed regularity and the moon is such a faithful witness in the heavens.

32. This is God's covenant of day and night, the stability of which is mentioned to confirm our faith in the new covenant, which is no less inviolable (Jeremiah 33:20-21).

33. It is God's faithfulness, when He makes covenant and has done so with our lives. Amen.
