"Seek God" (Genesis 46:1-4) "Something I know is that God hears." But to hear him you must look for Him, and then you find Him, and He will attend to you. The (Genesis 21:31,33) story of faith is like this: Abraham, the king goes to Abraham, and says to him, "God is with you in all that you do." They noticed it. They make a covenant of friendship, they were God-fearing. They become friends. That place is then called Beersheba (well of the oath). There he made his religion not only a constant practice, but a manifest confession (which is evident, it is clearly seen): There he invoked the name of Jehovah, eternal God. His tamarisk he had planted became the house of prayer. Isaac (Genesis 26:23,25) looking for water takes route to Egypt, but stops at Beersheba, and Jehovah appeared to him that night, and said to him, "I am the God of Abraham your father, do not be afraid, for I am with you. There he built the altar, and "invoked (asked in tears) the name of Jehovah, there God gave him the water, and he did not have to go to Egypt. And so, Jacob has a sowing in his life of faith.

I. Now Israel, the man, but that name will lead him to a nation of God.

A. Jacob recognizes God on his way to Egypt.

1. He couldn't just need God to take him, he didn't know if it was fake, he was also tired, and full of anguish and pain.

2. Of course, he knew of his father prayer, and his encounter with God.

3. Before embarking on the road, to see his dear and beloved son she had much to be thankful for.

4. He would no longer be defeated, now he wanted to thank God, he already left everything, among what he left was Beersheba where he offered sacrifice to the God of his father Isaac.

5. With the freedom that as much as possible in Egypt could not do it.

6. Joseph was already accustomed to Egypt.

7. Israel's old age was now subjected to customs different from theirs, although Joseph left them in Goshen, separated from the nation with prosperity.

8. Although what he lived in suffering for his son, and others as it was with the cunning of his father-in-law Laban, with his brother Esau, led him to live in a constant life of battle.

9. Israel has his eyes set on God as the God of his father Isaac, that is, the God who made covenant with him.

10. I could hear the voice, the revelations of God in prayer and searching; There in Beersheba was so that he could continue with the covenant; and do you love the church, the place of the covenant with God?

11. He offered sacrifices: In a sign of gratitude for the blessed change recently in the spiritual face of his family, the truth had already come out about Joseph, who had bound his lives, for the good news he had received regarding Joseph, and for the firm hope of seeing him again.

12. Church is the home where you can worship freely and thank Him for the good He has done to you.

13. To implore God to accompany him with His presence on the journey he was going to undertake.

14. He wanted to consult God's will.

15. Jacob also did not want to leave without God's consent.

16. Lead your life in prayer to know God's consent, in everything, or you may think you can.

17. (V. 2) God spoke to Israel in visions at night.

18. If we speak to God properly, He will not stop speaking to us.

19. What do God have to say to Jacob?

20. (V.3) He renew the covenant with these words: I am God, the God of your father.

21. He gives His permission to leave with his family: "Don't be afraid to descend into Egypt."

22. When we pray, and hear what God speaks to us, and if there is any fear joy must replace it.

23. Jacob was very concerned about this journey, and "God had it all in mind."

24. He was old and the journey was long.

25. He had worries, which led him to fear that his children would become contaminated with the idolatry of Egypt and forget the God of their parents, or that they would become intertwined with the pleasures of Egypt, forget the promised land.

26. They were in areas without any luxury, or pleasures and Egypt was the greatest thing, and if that were not enough Joseph was his brother and he was the lord of the land of Egypt.

27. (V.4) God comforts him and helps him for the transfer: That they will multiply greatly in Egypt.

28. That His presence would accompany him during the journey: "I will descend with you into Egypt."

29. I will make you a great nation, I will descend with you into Egypt, and I will also make you return; and Joseph's hand will close your eyes; this is for the man who seeks God for his life and his own and prays to Him in all that is in his life.

30. That his own were not going to be lost in Egypt, God was going to the front, Moses' strength was as great as Abraham was.

31. His corpse was brought from Egypt to be buried in Canaan.

32. God had provided Himself with Moses, and Joshua who took him to touch the land of Canaan, and he distributed it to those who multiplied, there were seventy (V.27) who entered with Jacob (430 years later they leave), they left with a total of about two or three million people.

33. When God calls us as terrible as it seems: surely, He accompanies us, when He descends with us to the grave, He will certainly make us ascend later to His glory.

34. Joseph, his beloved son, "will close your eyes" would be his support and comfort.

35. Do you want to be blessed by God? Seek Him as Israel. Amen.
