'Proof of Faith'

Topic: "'Proof of Faith'' Hebrews 11:17-19 Abraham had a promise, in him the promise was fulfilled. If he sacrificed it, the promise would run out, then the nation of Israel would stop. Where our beloved Jesus was going to arrive. That people had the commandments, and what would be the holy things. The world would continue to drift, without religion, without God. Israel would be the nation that government and religion would go together. And that was to be fulfilled in the promise in Isaac. God tests Abraham's faith.

I. Even if he had the promise, his faith was tested.

A. The greatest test of faith to Abraham.

1. God asks him to offer his only son, Isaac, "on the altar."

2. Abraham a man sure of who was the God of his life.

3. The days, the long nights, months, days, years made him know God personally; was not by ear, his eyes saw Him.

4. It was not something that some trial blinded him, and left him down, "blind," to continue to see and believe God.

5. Abraham, his faith was resolved (determined, decisive, and secure), undertook to offer God the greatest treasure for his life.

6. There was no hope for Sarah who would now have one hundred and eight.

7. It was not a day of doubt, reasoning, or feelings before God, that does not work is and is.

8. That is faith. Believe.

9. God had promised him, and He would.

10. It is necessary for the father of faith to let us know with his actions that faith was in such a way, and that nothing manipulates faith, it is and is.

11. Isaac was his only begotten with Sarah, that's where the promise was.

12. God gave him the promise of innumerable offspring, which the Mighty One wanted to raise up, and he would do so because it was His holy will.

13. And God wanted to do great things with a humble, meek, simple-thinking person.

14. God is the one who does through faith, man establishes what God wants to do.

15. The one of faith believes, does not ask, does not measure, and does not opine.

16. The promise of a great multitude of descendants was to be fulfilled in Isaac. (16)

17. Nothing to solve is to believe.

18. Isaac was now about seventeen years old and single.

19. In all circumstances faith cannot slacken.

20. (18) Thinking that "God is mighty" to raise him even among the dead, if so.

21. Abraham knew what God had promised; it was what mattered to him. For Abraham, Isaac was not a dream of his, let alone a longing, he loved Sarah, and it was necessary for him to feel fulfilled with a son and Sarah no longer had strength.

22. Isaac, was a promise, not the longing for a son who as a married couple would feel happy.

23. God asked him to be sacrificed; God Himself would again "raise him from the dead" to fulfill the promise.

24. "The one who fulfills is the one who orders, it is not the instrument that is called him.

25. Who knew about the resurrection?

26. Abraham understood, the resurrection was not known.

27. His faith in God's promise led him to the conclusion that God would have to resurrect Isaac.

28. "Figuratively," he again received Isaac from the dead.

29. He had settled for the idea that Isaac would have to be slain.

30. God accounted that as fact.

31. He provided a ram to take Isaac's place, the only son was returned to his father's heart and house.

32. God "tested Abraham's faith" and exhibited it in its genuineness; then He withdrew His order.

33. In Abraham's faith, in the promise of a numerous offspring was put to the test, over a period of years.

34. The patriarch was seventy-five years old when he received the promise of a son.

35. He waited twenty-five years before Isaac was born.

36. Isaac was seventeen years old when Abraham took him to Mount Moriah to offer him to God and forty when he married twenty years, before his twins were born.

37. Abraham died at the age of one hundred and seventy-five.

38. At that time, his descendants were a son (seventy-five years old) and two grandchildren (fifteen years old each).

39. But during his life he also did not hesitate, out of unbelief, at God's promise, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, convinced that He was also powerful to do what He had promised. (Romans 4:20-21)
