How Can We Escape If We Neglect Such A Great Salvation

TOPIC: "How Can We Escape If We Neglect Such A Great Salvation" Hebrews 2:1-4

The reason why we fail in school, work, children, marriages and in everything that is life is because we do not pay proper attention to things. Divorces occurred and children now live-in sin, etc. But you can no longer return to that point of attention which could have worked to avoid these misdeeds. PAYING ATTENTION is paying attention to things that are heard and seen. It is the ability to perceive certain stimuli to warn others or oneself of something.

I. "...let us pay attention...", says the Word. It is to look, to see, to open the eyes, to hear, to prick up the ears, to find out, to be aware, to take into consideration, into account, it is to have the five senses in the matters of life.

A. The five senses attentive, the ear, sight, smell, touch, and taste.

1. When we do not attend to the things of life, we are like a ship that has been neglected.

2. Observe your life today!

3. It is not that we jump into sin totally. But rather that carelessness little by little brings bad consequences. Many things happen and the evil has not been perceived, something that has been difficult to notice.

4. Some allow their selves to become involved in some situation until they wake up to find that they have shattered their own life and someone else's heart.

5. We should be constantly on guard before the danger of living life like a ship adrift. It's when you don't tie up your boat. The ship has been inadvertently allowed to pass by the port were it had to stop. Perhaps because the sailor has not counted on the wind, or the current, or the tide.

6. Therefore, we should be careful and ANCHOR OUR LIVES TO WHAT WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT, and not allow the ship of life to pass the port and continue adrift and end up in a shipwreck, sinking the boat.

7. There are many who neglect their lives and fall into apostasy, a sin in which there is no repentance.

8. Those who hear the gospel must pay much greater attention to it lest they slip.

9. (Vs. 2) The Jew, because of his history, gave special importance to the ministry of angels.

10. Perhaps their main example was the promulgation of the law, when thousands of angelic beings were present (Deuteronomy 33:2).

11. "...every violation and disobedience received its just punishment..." The transgression, disobedience is to go beyond the line of what is ordered.

12. When knowledge and conscience have drawn a line where truth and law are established, then passing that line is sin!

13. In disobedience one begins to listen to evil, to hear evil and the person play deaf.

14. It is listening carelessly due to lack of attention, misunderstanding comes, what has been said is not captured.

15. There is an unwillingness to hear and, therefore, comes disobedience to the voice of God.

16. It is to deliberately close the ears to his commands, to his warnings and invitations.

17. How is salvation neglected in that manner! Salvation is very, very great, it is so great! (Vs. 3)

18. How do you escape if you neglect it? THE CHRISTIAN REVELATION IS UNIQUE!

19. By the law it is the knowledge of sin and by the gospel is the knowledge of salvation!

20. TO NEGLECT A SALVATION SO GREAT is more serious than transgressing the law!

21. It was through angels that God came to bring the law, to Moses first and then to the people.

22. But the Word of the Gospel was given to us directly by the Lord Jesus himself.

23. It was confirmed to the early Christians by the apostles and others who heard the Savior!

24. Salvation is unique because of its origin; it proceeds directly from Jesus Christ himself. IT IS THE SAME VOICE OF GOD THAT COMES TO US IN JESUS CHRIST!

25. (Vs. 4) God himself certified, gave by certainty the message, both with signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts distributed by the Holy Spirit!

26. The signs, the miracles of Jesus and the apostles signified spiritual truths.

27. If you get in harm’s way, if you are adrift, it is for not paying attention to such a great salvation. It is for not paying attention to your walk in Christ!

28. Because the ultimate goal of Christianity is to make the bad good! The proof of the authentic Christianity is that it changes lives! If you do not walk firm it is that you did not pay attention to what was received!

29. It is said that the moral miracles of the Gospel are visible to the whole world! Amen.
