TOPIC: "Breakup Despair, With the Little Desire to Admit Guilt Before God" Isaiah 55:6-9 It is not fair that someone after knowing Christ loses such a great salvation! We speak of a SALVATION to live in the eternity, there where God dwells! How is it possible to change SOMETHING SO GREAT AND UNIQUE FOR HELL? We have to fear, well in Matthew 5:25 it is understood that by contending we make the Lord our adversary, we make him an enemy! We must come to an agreement with Him soon, while you are with Him on the road, in case the adversary hands you over to the Judge and the Judge to the sheriff and you are thrown into prison. That is, with God you have to humble yourself and not be haughty and hard of heart! The spirit of man tends to be contentious (to contradict, to dispute) and to show a reluctance to ADMIT GUILT. What? Do you seek God’s judgment? To great danger you subject your life, if you do so! The things that are wrong must be corrected because if not, the sin will finally come and you will not only have to make full restitution (return what you took or damaged from someone) but you will also suffer other additional penalties. Even if you defend yourself, the law will discover you and you will pay every last penny. In Luke 13:25-27 God shows that even though we pretend to have lived with Him, that will not move Him to change his judgment. When one leaves Jesus IN TEPIDITY, we become evildoers. And if we have not loved him on earth, he will not let us enter into eternity!

I. The path (which is a narrow path) of blessing is IN SEARCHING JEHOVAH.

A. (Vs. 7) SIN MUST BE ABANDONED ("Let the wicked forsake his way...")

1. If you turn to the Lord in this way, you will find that He brims (overflows) with mercy and forgiveness.

2. But the lukewarm do not achieve anything, because it is thinking to be a believer without being one. And it is the worst, because a sinner does know what it is. The lukewarm is one who comes to church and believes to be a believer, but the truth is that the person does not comply with the Scriptures!

3. About 47 years ago I recognized that I was a sinner and now I have an empire of God's goodness for my life: my children, granddaughters and all of you who have recognized that you needed God's forgiveness and have been loyal with what is established for the law of grace. (The law is established by a competent authority (sufficient), commanding or prohibiting something in accordance with justice, whose noncompliance carries a sanction.)

B. FAITH HAS TO BE EXERCISED (Vs. 6) "Seek the Lord while he may be found, call on Him while he is near."

1. In this exhortation we see that ETERNAL SALVATION OR CONDEMNATION comes into play!

2. God is always close! Attentive to any call of faith and prayer. Do you? Do you seek Him?

3. THOSE WHO INVOKE HIM FIND SALVATION!

4. Now, brother, is the time! Today is the acceptable day! Let us seek Him, for His "patience" awaits us! His word invites us and His Spirit contends (struggles, fights) with us to give us life!

5. DON'T ALLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT LEAVE YOU!

6. Seek Him while you have faith, when He is not yet gone! Seek Him while He can be

found! Call Him while He is CLOSE! God is not obliged to be near you.

7. He is near, if your faith in Him hasn’t died! Well, it is you who makes your faith live or die, that He be near or far away!

8. (Vs. 7) Our mentality and behavior should be changed so that our sins may be forgiven.

9. (Vs. 8) Because our thoughts and our ways are not the same as those of God, "...Jehovah said."

10. If you look to heaven, there are the thoughts and ways of God!

11. His PURPOSES and HIS ACTIONS are at an infinite distance from ours.

12. It is urgent for those who are far from God to leave their evil thoughts and ways!

13. Our thoughts are directed TO THE THINGS BELOW; those of God are MUCH HIGHER, just as heaven is upon the earth.

14. And if you consider yourself to be truly repentant and converted, your thoughts should also be set on the things above (Colossians 3:1, 2).

15. My goal is to convince you with the truth, even if you hate me for that. I do it even if you don’t desire the truth! Break with reluctance, with the little desire to admit your guilt before God!

16. Invoke Him and seek Him, then you will find salvation and eternal life by His side! Amen.
