Your Good Development

TOPIC: "Your Good Development" Proverbs 4:20-27 If you want to be strengthened and have a life with God without stumbling and breaking, you have to learn to organize yourself spiritually. This is to avoid chaos in your life and not having to walk disturbed in this world. When you feel lost and you are stumbling you blame others, even God. Most certainly you justify yourself thinking that you are good and you believe you are the victim when you are the abuser. But you should consider that your good spiritual development will come when you decide to prepare yourself with all the necessary details for the life in God.

I. What has happened that you have not developed well?

A. You cannot walk in disorder as you probably have.

1. If you do not pray, you do not fast and do not read the Word, there is already a disorder in your short life on earth. To pay the wrongdoing due to this disorder, life will charge you and it will become very long with many regrets. He who walks in such disorder does not want to understand this and will ask God why He has left him. Do you want that for your life? Today you have the opportunity to choose between being organized or living in disorder!

2. It is not complicated to understand what happened, it is simple, everything is lost in disorder.

3. When your house is in order nothing is lost, in disorder you never find anything, nothing.

4. Let's look at Proverbs 4:20 "My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words."

a. The sayings of wisdom should be RULES to organize our life as believers.

b. This verse tells us that we have to hear the voice of the Lord speaking to us!

c. We must take His voice and put it into our lives! But how light we live with our efforts that lead us to failure! We seem to lack astuteness.

d. WE SHOULD INCLINE THE EAR TO HEAR THE VOICE OF WISDOM TO ORDER OUR STEPS! It is that we stumble so quickly!

e. Dad and mom give you the reason, but there is something that judges us and it is the lack of knowing God.

5. (Vs. 22) The words of Wisdom GIVE LIFE and are creatives.

a. Do you listen to the voice of God, His words? If you listen, you will know how you should develop your life during the time you will live. Do you think that God is not going to see you and that he doesn't know everything about you?

b. When God speaks to you, you should treasure His words in your heart, THAT'S WHERE THE LIFE IS, and no one can steal it from you, or take away your desire to never cast them out. "Keep them within your heart."

c. Do not lose sight of them: give diligent attention and submission. (Is that your problem? Haughtiness?).

6. "For they are life to those who find them..." If you want to find them, it is in you to do so!

a. They are medicine to your body because they deliver you from sin and from the pressures that cause so much disease.

b. Could it be that you still live in distress, suffering and with no way out?

c. Simple, if you still don't have the cure for all that wickedness, it is because you don't have within you the voice of the Lord speaking to you! The reason is because there is no "submission", you do not pay attention diligently. It is that you have a "crazy thought of the mind tied to despair (to all the negative)."

d. (John 6:63) Jesus said: "...the words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life."

e. GUARD THEM LIKE A TREASURE YOU ARE AFRAID TO LOSE!

7. (Vs. 23) ORGANIZE your heart and therefore your mouth, lips, eyes and feet for God.

a. God began His work in you and so He wants it now in your interior and from there He will do it in your exterior.

b. Your heart is the one that speaks of your inner life, of the mind, of your thoughts, your motives and your desires, because it is the wellspring of your life.

c. The mind is the source from which the thoughts flow.

d. IF THE HEART IS PURE, THE STREAM THAT FLOWS FROM IT WILL BE PURE TOO!

e. Whatever your thoughts are, such are you! (Proverbs 23:7)

f. You need a clean life in the heart so that your heart may speak the purity that it contains.

g. Guard it! It is to have good thoughts and to silence the bad ones, you put limits to what is perverse.

8. (Vs. 24) "...the perversity of the mouth..."

a. It is a way of speaking that is dishonest and perverted.

b. "...iniquity of the lips..." (evilness, abuse, great injustice) When the victim of the perverse who speaks with iniquity is subdued and humiliated, he experiences sensations of triumph, domination and superiority. He needs to feel like an avenger and not a victim. The evil that a perverse person provokes is indiscriminatory (does not distinguish some people); he always seeks those who are close.

c. The iniquity of the lips is every conversation that is not righteous and legitimate.

d. "...keep corrupt talk far from your lips."

9. (Vs. 25) Look straight!

a. Keep your eyes on what is in front of you: towards Jesus!

b. The eyes and eyelids that are directed towards what is in front of them suggest a way of behaving with singularity of purpose, without deviating towards sin or any other unworthy thing.

c. A righteous heart leads you to look righteously!

10. (Vs. 26) If we are careful and stop to examine THE PATH OF HOLINESS, ALL OUR PATHS WILL BE WELL ORDERED AND SECURE!

11. (Vs. 27) Do not deviate!

a. Do not wander aimlessly so that you can step on this path, firm and strong!

b. Keep your foot away from evil. Think: Would I like to be found faithful for when the Lord returns?

c. Your good spiritual development depends on living organized and not in disorder! Do it! Amen.
