Readiness

Your feet should be fitted with the readiness to preach the Gospel of peace! As time goes by human beings grow further away from the readiness of knowing and teaching what they should already know through the Gospel. The Gospel is what produces PEACE in a person. The Gospel is what we must LEARN AND TEACH. Our footwear, our sandals, is what we wear on our feet on this long path. We should be wearing the sandals with the readiness of the Gospel. Here in the Letter to the Ephesians, the Word of God tells us that one should be willing to put on the best footwear to walk down the road and share the Gospel with others who have not received it. READINESS is a word that is used to describe the way in which the tissues are arranged and submitted, TO HAVE GREATER CONSISTENCY; so that the human body may have a better functioning. The apostle Paul uses the word READINESS to refer to the "DISPOSITION, PREPARATION" of what is necessary to teach this Gospel of peace. During the time in which we learn on our own, and in which we also teach others, we must be prepared with the CONSISTENCY, hardness, and necessary strength of our "sandals". PREPARATION is PREVENTION. It refers to the measures that are taken against something that is likely to occur. Although it’s not certain it will happen, we prepare anyway. The Gospel is not for those who want to ignore the need to strive. We must always strive to fight the battle, and do what God tells us! There are those who do not understand that "sandals" have to be treated every day to harden their leather because "the road" is very strong and violent. We must be aware that we should take MEASURES which are the means taken in advance to avoid a bad thing from happening. This fight against Satan is violent. We have to be men and women with very strong "shoes" to walk down the path from which the enemy wants to lead us away from. We are called to have READINESS, the willingness to be prepared and face whatever comes into our lives. Being prepared is the opposite of improvisation. Improvising is neglect and carelessness. We are asked to be prepared, and always be ready. We are not like birds that go from here to there. We are servants who walk with our "shoes" on the ground. We walk across mountains and deserts; crossing rivers and streams. This "footwear" of great resistance is placed on your feet by Heaven, exclusively for you, and for each believer equally. It is God Himself who gave it to us, and commands us to wear it so that we may succeed. It is a "footwear from Heaven" made of very valuable materials. A "footwear" that without divine revelation is humanly impossible to know and understand. These "sandals" of the most perfect heavenly fabrication, made of very strong materials, are described in the Word of God as THE READINESS OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE! You have to wear them, have them on every moment of your life. The Gospel of Peace is the good news, that is, news that is accurate and good for our lives. The Gospel is the good news in Christ that can be found in the Word of God. God’s peace is "one of the materials" that He uses with which your "sandals" are strengthened (hardened) and take their shape. It is peace mainly with God, a peace that you feel in Christ knowing that the Lord forgave you and cleansed you from all the sin that you committed. That is the same peace that we bring to men when we preach the Gospel to them. No "sandal" in the world can give you that comfort, so much rest, especially for God.

No "shoe" in this world is made with such sublime materials. We are talking about a heavenly shoe, a footwear that is known and strengthened in us through the knowledge of this Gospel. As old as our "footwear" might be it is never worn, never runs out, or breaks. That is because of its excellence, the excellence of a heavenly footwear. Our "footwear" is for life and to walk with them everywhere! This "footwear" does not tire us, in fact, with it we can confidently step on this road of so many trials and during painful days. This "footwear" is what brings us to eternal life! If you know the Gospel, if you know the Word of God, you are not barefoot. But, if you have taken away the Gospel from the heart, then you are barefoot and you have lost faith and you are walking on satanic stones. You have to turn back to the Savior. Observe today how is your "footwear", if it is worn out or if it is stronger, even if you have had a long walk in them and because of its strength your feet have not been injured. God, who always gives us the best, is marvelous! He has prepared us and given us an excellent and heavenly footwear for our feet! Do not walk barefoot when your feet can be wearing the SIZING OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE. Amen.
